Update: JB Hi Fi now includes a $200 discount to both colours and across the iPad Pro 13 range.

  • I'm looking to get a 13" iPad. I can see that Costco sells the Air M3 for $1279, would this be worth the extra $720?

    • Your use case? Editing photos ?

      • Family will be using it for media consumption. Pro is probably overkill but the OLED display is tempting.

        • If it's purely media consumption, I think even this would be overkill as would any iPad with an OLED screen or M# SoC.

Why not save a few $ and go for this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/908001

Definitely don’t need to get the latest Pro for media consumption. Find one last gen for about 40% off.

        • For just general media consumption and web browsing, just get the base iPad 11th gen for under $500 on sale. Only in smaller 11 inch screen though.
$1000 extra for OLED is not worth it for me unless you are doing colour accurate photo and video editing.

          • @edfoo:

$1000 extra for OLED is not worth it for me

Once you go OLED black, you can't go back 😭

            • @Nillionaire: Nope. I have an iPhone 15 now with OLED screen, it does not look too much better from LCD retina display to me.
As for the 120Hz refresh rate compared to 60Hz, I don't game on iPhone or iPad, so paying so much more just to have smoother scrolling on a web browser? Not worth it.

        • I have both ipad and a Samsung S9 Ultra. I use the S9 Ultra for all of my media consumption and it's too good to be truth for the price I got it for ($999)

          • @noobmaster6ty9: Same here. Found the Ultra (bigger better) screen to be a superior experience for watching TV movies etc
Got my Ultra for around $1500

Now that iPad OS is actually becoming like macOS these things actually have reason to exist. The price point is less eye watering if I can actually use it like a laptop

If you're sitting on 40x $50 recent 10% off vouchers that include JB HiFi then you're laughin!

    • 40! Is $50 denomination the largest you can get?

  • Might be worth trying to price match at Officeworks. Brings it down to $1899.05 if successful!

Regardless, great find OP! Best price I've seen in a while. We got ours for $1,994.99 by price matching Costco last year when OW still did it.
