nbn 25/10Mbps $39/Month for 6 Months (New Customers Only, Ongoing $59.90/Month) @ Flip Connect

90

Was looking for a new NBN plan as my current $39.99 promo on Iinet is expiring in a months time and found this Flip NBN 25/8Mbps $39/Month promo for 4 months on new customers.

I believe Flip's previous promotions were for 6 months but this one is only for 4 months.

Still not bad as I could not seem to avail of the Amaysim 25/10 50% off $30/M promo.

New customer for Flip is when you never been with them at all.

    • Was wondering this too. Looking at the t&c It doesn't give a time frame at all

    • I was with them before I moved to Iinet for like 5 months and now going back to them again.
It just says order has successfully been submitted and I did not really see any confirmation if the promo went through as it just says NBN Plan:Unlimited nbn 25 $59.90/mth.

Link updated with a better one for 6mos by whitleout referral.

      • They will charge full price, beware

      • Will be interesting to see if you get the promo a 2nd time. I moved from them a few months ago to Mate, which has been the worst of all providers ive been with in few years. Nothing terrible but as others have said, slow at times, service offline for a day the other day. Flip were pretty good for the price as all i need is 25/10. Would like to jump back to them again if able to.

Just confirmed by phone that this promo does not apply to returning customers, only applies to new customers who never had an account with them before so I cancelled my application.

          • @Chewee: Thanks for letting us know. Shame as they were a decent low cost provider. Wonder why they only allow you to use the promo once where as everyone else doesn't seem to care if it's been a decent amount of time?

I've been slutting around NBN providers since last year.
Tried Spintel, Mate, Leaptel, Exetel and now onto Flip. So far so good!

    • So far Iinet was a struggle as I had to get a new modem and a technician has to come and to change the connection of NBN to FTTB.

Mate internet has 25/10 for 6 months $40, with a 6 month sport channel bonus, plus cashback options..

    • Mate has a lot of negative NBN reviews, so far no issues?

      • I have some issues with Mates and I just joined last month.
Before Mates, I was with More NBN for more than 1.5 years with 2 drop outs.
I do regret moving to Mates!!

        • I was also with mate until last month, constant dropouts, made it hard to WFH. Switched to Moose, and it has been good so far.

I've had issues with Mate and would recommend to avoid. I churn a lot and they've been the worst by far. Issues like zoom calls freezing a lot and streaming buffering. And I was on 100/20 (HFC).

Yes - same happened to me every Teams meeting. Initially I thought it was due to my router - but when I was with More it never happened - same speed plan.

          • @kungfupanda: I ended up getting in touch with their Support and had to turn on IPv6 which solved the drop out issue.
But that caused another issue where my Home Assistant got into an odd state where there's random latency issues. After chruning, my HA came back to live as pre-mate… never again

    • Stay away with Mates.
This week only I already have 3 outages! 2 on the same day.
Today is another outage and I have been on the phone for 17 minutes with the automated voice only 😡😡

      • And the outage is still not fixed - it happened today around 3pm - now the time is 6:45pm!
        Worst provider ever…

    • I am using matenbn at the moment, so far so good. You guys know the reason why you guys got many drops out? Be cause they use CG-Nat. I work from home and it keeps dropping my company VPN, but after asking them to opt-out the CG-Nat, the connection is really stable. They do it for free, just email them.

      • You are right that CG-NAT can cause VPN problems. CG-NAT is not the reason why others are having dropouts and CG-NAT is not a problem for most users.

Many have reported problems since Mate changed their backhaul to Wireline.

      • I doubt they would enable something that would effect everyday users. Can you imagine the support calls. Clearly this is for the very small minority that use VPN. My issues are everyday. Connection is slow at times, drop outs, etc. Wont stick with them once my 6 months are up. But finding these sub $40 deals for 25/10 plans for 6 months is getting harder.

        • I am using matenbn at the 6th month now and will change to other ISP soon. During the last 6 months, no problem, the network is stable. Many people got internet drop out because of their devices and they think the problem coming from the ISP. I am using Mikrotik for router and Ruckus wireless for wifi access points at home. They are extremely stable for all the ISP i've used. I always jump to the discount one every 6months or 1 year so I already used most of the most popular ISPs in Australia.

          • @n2h: I'd agree with you except the same modem has worked flawlessly with a dozen other providers over the last 3 years. Not to much of a coincidence to assume it's a modem issue when others experience same problems. The mere fact I had a reported outage for a whole day says something. Also find there bandwidth provision for the service to be weak. Really struggles on the evenings sometime when streaming, when 25/10 was perfectly fine with other providers such as flip.

  • Anyone have a list of providers and the backends they are using?

  • How long do these guys normally take to activate?

  • I found this on thier T/C

Termination Notice: You may request to cancel
the NBN service by providing a minimum 30 day
notice. All plans are non refundable.

  • can you opt out CGNAT for free?
