  • What are you all buying that you need so many chargers? I picked up 3 chargers from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/820069 18 months ago, replaced my GPOs with ones that have USB/USB-C ports for slower charging devices, and haven't needed to find one since…

What are you all doing with these?

    • +4

      Hoarding them like eneloops.

    • Tbh I would be careful with electrical Anko products.

      • +1

I am totally okay with using this rebranded Chinese product over that rebranded Chinese product. Australia has some of the strictest electrical standards in the world, so if something is approved on the www.eess.gov.au registry (which these are) I'm pretty happy to use it, even if it does have an Anko sticker on the bottom of it

    • Upgrading all of my old 15W chargers

      • +1

        That's valid.

Don't you think 65w USB-C only is restrictive though? Yeah it'll charge most laptops, there are a handful it would struggle with though and some dumb devices still need USB-A to USB-C charging cables and won't work with a USB-C to C cable, so you need to go find an old charger anyway. I feel like in this 65w range you want an A+C charger, or just go up to a 100w C charger. Idk, just my opinion and I'm dumb sometimes

        • We have new phones, tablets and macbook, none of them even come close to 100w. 65w for macbook and powerbank, 25w and 20w for phones (S25 and iPhone), 30w for ipad.

65w is the sweet spot where we can simultaneously charge both phones or the iPhone and iPad at maximum speed (only 20w for bottom port when split) for the next 4-5 years. By then the tech will be better, cooler and cheaper anyway.

I don't think I've come across a device that requires USB-A to USB-C, even the various cheap temu gadgets I've bought are fine with my main USB-C to USB-C charger.

I suppose they must exist given power negotiation isn't guaranteed, so an older device expecting default output won't get it, guess I'd just use my powerbank to charge it in that case

Heya, would that be able to (fast) charge ipads?

  • Can this charge macbrook, or iPad 9?

  • Lovely, just grabbed 2 as my partner keeps nabbing my charger and good to have 1 for the travel bag. Hopefully it'll let the ROG Ally boost to full 30w (as some chargers won't).

  • Will it super fast charge samsung devices?

    • Yes, very fast.

  • Got two from OW but they counted one $8.95 for shipping in the final price. Is this normal?

    • No they should not have counted the shipping as their are physical locations. Jb Hi Fi live chat price matched it for me without shipping costs.

      • Thanks i'll know for next time

        • My experience with office works is, they will always calculate shipping from online retailers as there are no other ways to buy apart from paying for shipping (unless there is a free shipping offered).
Should they have a brick and mortar store then the story is different.

          • @Ohreally: They seem a bit clueless. The first young kid said they can't price match such a cheap price otherwise they'll be losing money and called his manager. The manager spent 5 mins on my phone and finally asked me to put the product in the cart for some reason. Then they called a third person to debate the shipping cost. OMG!

            • @kranoath: I know right? Been there done that 😂
Lots of changes in recent times!
I think the number of people asking for ‘price beat’ should have made them to rethink to change their policies recently!
They have stopped price matching membership stores like Costco now. Anyway, less party time for us

      • For click and collect or delivered?

        • not sure if your replying too me or the other person but mine was click and collect

          • @NinjaGamer: Yeah sorry to you. Using phone and doesn't add the "@" .
Wasn't sure if JB were covering the delivery cost as well.

Edit. But this comment does add your name now?

            • @Whatisthatvelvet: Yes I can see my name now. But yeah Jb Hi Fi if you do it click and collect their is no delivery cost so it's $22.

    • If there is no click and collect location nearby then yes they generally include shipping cost but JB would have been worth a try as they don’t always include the shipping.

      • I was at their physical store but they were a bit clueless about needed three people to sort it out.

        • No sorry I meant the competitor not having a brick and mortar store nearby. I dont think they are consistent though and you probably could have pushed it.

  • +1

Officeworks Ipswich refused to price match without the delivery fee quoting the product on competitors website is available online only. Didn't argue and walked away. It would be nice to have some consistency across all their stores reg price beat policy.

    • +1

Go to JB chat and find another agent :D

    • My experience with officeworks is, they will always calculate shipping from online retailers as there are no other ways to buy apart from paying for shipping (unless there is a free shipping offered).
Should they have a brick and mortar store then the story is different.

      • I had this experience. Should have gone to JB and save myself the "shipping".

  • +2

I don't need this but bought for $12 with jb price match. It doesn't support Samsung superfast charge 2.0 if anyone wondering

    • Can confirm that superfast charge 2.0 is working on my s25u.

      • Good, maybe this is new version, I had to return one previously

        • I think the cable needs to be 5a for superfast 2.0 charge too work

          • @NinjaGamer: I had 5a cable but didn't work. It was last year, maybe this one is new release

        • +1

Just a s25+/ultra thing I believe. It can SFC 2.0 with both 10v 4.5a and 15v 3a profiles. The s24 and earlier series need a charger with the 10v 4.5a profile for SFC 2.0. Those chargers specifically mention SFC 2.0 support.

I assume this charger only supports 15v 3a.

    • Can confirm, it superfast charge my s23 ultra

Can you please pass me the invoice via message. I will try to price match

      • I don't know how to send you the invoice and also I don't know if they will reduce the price for you

        • You can private message me @Mregmi

  • I guess this is way better than the Anker one that sells for less quite often?

  • Got one, thanks OP

    • -1

Can we get price match from the invoice from the people who got it yesterday?

  • I use it for charging a m1 macbook air + iphone via usb c - my old one was working great till I lost it so I bought 2 more now! thx

  • Manage to price match in store at JB Melbourne

    • -1

Can you please pass me the invoice via message. I will try to price match

  • I dont need one but I bought one from JB price match deal

    • When you don’t need one you should always buy 2. The OZB way.

  • Broadway manager knows. Knew it's from digidirect. Apparently the one from digidirect is an older model that's being superceded by the one they have in stock but he will allow it. He does not also allow the $10 welcome voucher because this is the newer version but you are allowed to use it for other purchases. Sounds bullshit.

    • What a crook

    • +1

Yeah just somehow an older model with the exact same specs and photos as the latest one.

    • I am not complaining as I am happy to buy a $80 product for $20

  • This has been my go to backpack charger for a while it's a great size.

  • Price matched on JB website via chat. Shipping cost was not added

    • -1

Can you please pass me the invoice via message. I will try to price match

  • fyi, if you are using just for phones, you won't see any noticeable difference to your standard chargers. This is more for bigger devices.

    • It would matter for 45W phones, or for charging 2 phones at once

  • Does the newer version of this charger get significantly how when charging a 65W laptop?

Someone quoted an old YouTube review to suggest that the charger gets very hot full load (65W); I suspect it should be the older version of this charger

  • Ah! Missed this!
    Almost finished at JB 🫣

  • Heading to Officeworks tomorrow and hopefully grabbing four or five. Wish me luck!

  • -1

This should be ok to charge Dell laptops?

  • +3

    Its up to $48 now

    • Was going to ask for price match for another one but yeah, the party’s over.

      • Can we get price match from the invoice from the people who got it yesterday?

        • Can try but some stores refused to price match even the price was still $22. Depends on the store really.

  • Price has gone up to $48.30

    • +1

Can we get price match from the invoice from the people who got it yesterday?

  • +1

So unlucky, I was in OW store and passed my phone over at $22 and it rang up at $48. When I looked at my phone it had changed to $48 in the minute I had pricematched :( They didn't honor it even though my work phone was showing that it was still $22.

    • +2

Took the risk for that extra 2

  • damn, a day late

  • Waited to pricematch, now back up to $48.30. Damn.

  • Dammit I missed out before the price update. I hope you're all happy.

  • Missed out!! 🤦🤦🤦

  • Price is now 48.30 on digidirect.

  • I just plugged in my 100w USB-C cable to the 65W port on this charger and im getting superfast charge same as my official Samsung 25W fast charger :(
I thought it will say SuperFast charge 2.0 (I get this when I borrow my mates 100w GaN charger)
Bit of a let down :(

    • Which phone you have

      • S23 ultra

    • Update, this charger is faster then my mates 100w charger that says "Super Fast charge 2.0" when plugged in

at 40% state plugging in my mates charger it "Super Fast charge 2.0" 30 mins left to full
at 40% this Belkin charger says 21mins left to full :D

  • If you wanted to price match on JB, they don’t even have it in their store anymore as I’m told from a sales rep.

  • Called up the jb store to get an update to my cc order and was told they had SOLD out :(

Luckily, the nice sales rep processed the charger to be transferred from another store, so they do have stock :)

  • I placed an order yesterday on DigiDirect website and it got processed. I turn up at the store today for pick up and they say it's a pricing error and my order will be rejected! Very disappointed.

    • +1

That's very shitty act from digiDirect store.

    • +1

That's why you should have gone to OW you get 5% off PLUS superior after sales customer service.

Just imagine if the presale customer service of Digi is so bad you can only image the post sales service!

    • I did a online order and from them and they cancelled my order as well. Called it 'technical glitch'.

    • Same here. Pissed off.

  • This is supposed to be a more efficient GaN Charger

Can few more users confirm that this charger gets very hot at full load 65W?

Got cancellation email. Knew I should have PM instead of giving them the business…

  • +2

Received the cancellation refund from paypal

Lucky I price matched from JB yesterday. Won’t be shopping at digi direct ever!

  • +1

Order cancelled due to price error, DodgyDirect living up to their name!

    • +1

That is why most people will go to JB or Officeworks to do price match/beat.

  • Shyt….. just went into one of the WA stores and saw the ad expired.

  • +1

Well done to those that price matched. My digiDirect order was cancelled and refunded because of 'pricing error'

    • Have you got your refund? I used the digital gift card I got from the econnex deal and it's not showing a refund just yet.

  • +1

Now I wish I bothered to go to OW for a price match

  • If anyone successfully price-matched this at JB Hi-Fi or Officeworks, could you please PM me a copy of your receipt? Much appreciated!
