Bluehost Web Hosting USD $4.95/Month (New Customers Only - Usually USD $6.95/Month**)

11

Looks like this offer is back. I have been with BlueHost for over 3 years now (signed up on a similar offer) and they have been great. Never really had any support issues, the one time I needed them to fix something server side it was done within hours (they are US based and I emailed them out of business hours). I have had no noticeable down time.

The cheapest renewal is USD6.95/month when you renew for 36 months

I think this needs to be tagged as an affiliate link. If I click on the link here, the page tells me "Since you landed on this page of our site, we want to let you know you visited one of our paid endorsers while researching your purchase." (likely marketing speak for you clicked on a referral link).

I then used a different browser and just typed in http://bluehost.com, and the same offer was just $3.95 - see http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29532971/bluehost.png

    • Wow….you get $3.95! I am a customer, but I am not an affiliate…..clicking through your link gives me the same $4.95/mo. Going through another browser gives me the same result (internet explorer - bluehost.com, same with Chrome (Incognito mode)). i do not get that notice either. Should I get you to link it and delete this offer then?

can someone confirm what is posted above?

    • I just PM'd Scotty, as I am concerned about this, hopefully i will hear back from him soon

Yeah it's not an affiliate link. As of BlueHost, it seems to be a price discrimination technique employed by them. $4.95 is actually their typical price, and there are lots of $3.95/month coupons around (which might be linked with affiliate code).

        • Thanks for clearing that up! I was very concerned….if I am to post an affiliate link I want it to be my own! lets not mention the ethical issues of doing something like that here

        • very strange. just appeared very suspect. Apologies for flagging it as a possible affiliate link, but you can see why I may think that given the text on the page, and the different pricing.
even still, I'll keep with my own provider…

        • no problems!

I had an account until late last year. I left them since because of the following..

Upon contacting support about slow responses on the sites hosted, they told me it was "relatively normal".

I found this two website, clicked on them and they have the offer for $3.95
    http://www.hostingdiscounted.org/ and http://www.webhostingclue.com/web-hosting-news/50-bluehost/4…

    • nice finds! Those links do give the text highlighted by monarocv8 earlier…but that is a better price if you are not worried about supporting an affiliate (In general Im not opposed to this if I am going to be using the service anyway, esp if they are upfront about it and the price is the same or better)

      • Well I am stack in between supporting an affiliate that I don't know but there links provide a cheaper price or by supporting an affiliate I know but with he's link it's more expansive. Anyway the affiliate gets $65 from ever person signs up through the affiliate link
