That's alot even on discount for just a train.

If your ok with not getting Brio branded (https://amzn.asia/d/7SPAnVT)[this one] goes great, my little one uses it all the time.

    Compatible with brio, IKEA, anko

IV also ordered more generic ones from AliExpress at a better price but am still waiting on it to arrive.

Have both, the brio makes sounds and goes in reverse and is much longer and heavier. Got it for around 30 bucks which camel doesn’t seem to show. The hape one has been as low as 7

    • Can you link some good aliexpress ones

    • Doesn’t have inbuilt rechargeable battery right?

      • Neither do

        • Oh right! The smaller cheaper brio one has a built in battery and usb port.

Even if there are cheaper ones, I’m all for BRIO making products that are high quality and can last generations. We bought Kmart tracks to add onto my childhood brio set, but the Kmart ones are already splintering and had two track connectors break within a year.

    • From experience, the cheaper brand tracks (Hape, Ikea, KMart etc) don't connect as cleanly as Brio, result being automated trains fall off more regularly.

We have Brio and other brands and the Brio tracks/trains are definitely better quality (but a lot more exxy unfortunately). Stay away from their plasticky crap though.

  • Puuuh, at these prices I am glad we left our Thomas period well behind us.

I dunno, looks pretty awesome if they still play with it

  • Between LEGO and Brio I can only afford one franchise for my kids to pillage.
