Also available at JB Hi-Fi for the same price.

  • Are we all getting the same tv?

There are two types of OzBargainers: those who are simply tight-fisted and chase the lowest price no matter what, and those who are savvy spenders — willing to invest in quality and luxury, so long as the deal is worth it.

        Why not be both 😜

Grabbed one of these about a year ago for 2500, it's pretty great. I use it as a monitor for work as well as pc and ps5 gaming. Looks amazing, works fine for work too, no blurry text, no weird shifting screen/pixels, etc. Also great that it supports 1440p. If you're not very active with your work, or stare at an unchanging screen for minutes at a time, you might get annoyed by the dimming, but you can adjust that.

    • Not many 4K tvs will take 1440p so thwt’s good

      • Yeah, our previous 4k TV and our 4k projector couldn't do 1440p, so I was glad when this one could. You can also use mirracast/airplay with it, which is handy.

  • The 144hz LG C4 42inch at $1300 might be a better gaming option if your rigs powerful enough…

    • Where do you find a c4 42" for 1300 in aus?

      • Was at JB Hifi a few months back, but I think the all time low was $1199 at Appliance online in March according to Ozbargain.

        • -1

          $1000 actually

        • Oh I thought you meant at this moment it was $1300, dang. JB and AppOnline don't even sell them anymore, they've moved onto the newer ones. Everywhere else is second hand or damaged cartons.

Just gonna get a Kogan 48" X98J (LG panel) Oled for $969 I think after scouring the net. Bit bigger than I wanted initially but way more price appropriate rather than paying the LG/Samsung premium prices.

  • I came very close to ordering this, but suspect I'd have no room even for verticals on either side and I have a lot of machines to work with… it would be getting a little like "swordfish" on my desk, but without Halle Berry.

Tempting… I work on them all day and play in the evening, suspecting I'd get too much burn in and should just look for a cheap 32" 1440P IPS with decent refresh if such a thing exists?

You don't need to worry about the burn in, however you are 100% correct in worrying about it's size. It's (profanity) massive. The box it comes in is HUGE too (like 75% of a door if that helps? we some how got it in the back of an i30 with the seats down though). You can't really take this one off it's stand and put it on an arm either (maybe there is an arm similar to the old imac ones that used the stand, but i don't know of any off the top of my head), and the stand is also gd huge. I have a 27" monitor verticle on the side (LG 27UP850N) and that with the Flex set to maximum curve, takes up 1.1m of the desk.

You don't need to worry about the burn in

not true, burn in still will likely to occur.. if using it as a PC monitor
just a matter of when… based on how you use the monitor and your burn in protection settings

    • check this video about burn in test

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2kPsKyF5bQ

    • I have my work monitors on arms on the sides of my desk with my 42" behind them.
Play time I swing the work monitors out of the way and game on the 42". Work time I swing them back.

I use Monitor Profile Switcher to quickly switch between monitor configs.

The 42" is too large for work anyway imo.

  • Ah damn oos

  • Silly question, what is the difference between this and a oled TV? OLED TV seems to be much cheaper for even bigger size.

    • This curves. This is really more of a monitor, that also works as a TV

No idea where any stock exists, if at all, but looks like $100 cheaper at retravision https://www.retravision.com.au/lg-42inch-oled-flex-4k-gaming…

    • We've just had five units arrive into our Perth delivery warehouse. Once they are gone they are gone. - Malcolm
