      • I am still at a loss. How were you able to install?

        • +1

Download, "Appinstaller," from the Play store and find the APK file in there then install.

        • Many thanks

Got them downloaded. Tetris is incompatible!

        • +1

Tetris - application is not authorized for use on your Android device!

        • yeah I got that too. Cant use Tetris.

Is anyone having any trouble installing Sim City? I keep getting a Black Screen of death.

  • not sure if this has been posted, but you can root the phone by following the directions here:-

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844185

    • Have you rooted your phone using your posted method? I can't seem to find any custom roms for it.

      • Yes, I rooted my phone (hur hur hur) using this method. There are no custom roms afaik and no way of installing recovery afaik due to the locked boot loader. I mainly rooted it to get rid of crap ware.

        • Ahh, I'll give it a shot then. I'm trying to install apps/move apps to my SD card. No luck though, maybe a root will help?

        • Yes, You need to root the phone then install the app I linked in page 2…

  • Is it better than buying iphone 4? (not iphone 5)
Feature wise Motorola Razr V looks similar or even better than iphone 4?

    • Feature wise the Motorola seem to be a better phone. Apart from internal memory, i would think the MOtorola is better.

  • Also, is it worth to wait for next 4months to see if we get any other better smartphone in same price range? Any possibility?

    • +2

If you always wait for the next price cut or to buy the new improved model, you'll never buy any technology product because there is always something better and less expensive on the horizon.

    • The Huawei Honor is dual core 1.4 ghz, but seems to be limited to 850 or 900mhz 3g (850 if you buy it from DSE, apparently). $299 from DSE. I would definitely buy the Moto over the Huawei.

The Sony Xperia Sola is available from the voda website for $179. Its possible that some of the other Xperia phones will go down in price, but they are generally all fairly middling in their performance - I don't know why Sony released so many variants on the same damn phone.

The HTC Evo or Sensation might come down to this price point, or they might not.

And obviously, the Nexus 4 will hopefully become available at some stage as well for $349.

I honestly can't think of anything else. I doubt anyone will offer the S2 or S3 in this price category.

      So just buy it.

  • Hi Guys,

Was about to get the Sony Xperia S or Acro S ( waterproof) for $340-370 range from online overseas sites.
Sony is a bit expensive, but is it worth spending those extra dollars for the looks?

  • Got the phone. Excellent. MUCH better than expected and a lot more fun then my iPhone 4s.

  • Also picked one up today that was ordered very late last night.
Had to replace a Galaxy S2 that got wet while in a tinnie.
Charging at the moment, will have a play when its ready.
