I have AGL gas, I got this $50 credit.
I received the opposite:

They 3x overcharged me and didn't get any email
How do we know if we were overcharged or undercharged? I don't even know what this is about

Take a gas meter read and cross check to the numbers on your bill and that they are close to it.
Perhaps previous bill was issued based on an estimate (due to an actual read not being taken) and current is based on actual read?
You can check your bill and it should indicate whether it is based on an estimate or actual read.
@Borg: I haven't received this 'next bill' yet to get any idea. I submit my reads so likely not related to an estimate but will see
@Big-Deal: Strange that they would send that in advance to sending you the bill. Perhaps call them and ask.
I received no credit. Just an increase to the rates and the account service fee.

btw, this should be in forums…there is no way to get this deal, nor do you need to do any action here (clicking on something)…the only way this is a deal is if you were targeted, this email went into spam and you were thinking of churning…
I also wonder what happens if you churn…will the credit be applied to your bill or not?

I got this. I sometimes buy woolworths gift cards through AGL rewards, so wondered if it means that is one of the benefits that is going.

Got my bill yesterday—confirmed the $45.45 (ex GST) credit. Nice little parting gift from AGL after all these years! Had the best 56% discount at one point, but now it’s down to a measly 35%. Bill’s definitely gone up a lot since then.
Just waiting for the switch to Origin Energy to go through now.
