Not related, but at my school there was a thing called a "milk run". At the end of the year if you were in year 12, you'd do laps around the carpark and with each lap you'd chug milk. Some of the milk was intentionally coloured. Then what would end up happening is everyone would vomit the milk from the running, which would leave rainbow coloured milk everywhere. Good times.

      • lol not sure about the rainbow, but yes.

    • vomit from the running, or from the questionable colouring in the milk

MILKRUN has to be a money laundering front at this point

    • just like red roosters yes

    Competing with Coles Fest?

  • WTH? that's a crazy offer. The costs(at least for pantry items) now are same are woolies. So, in short, its 20% off your woolies order.

I've found there's about a 10% margin on products. So this deal can still work out but just not to the full degree.

      Examples:
WW 250g butter, $4 at WW and $4.40 at Milkrun.
WW 2l milk, $3 at WW, $3.30 at Milkrun.
Tim tams, $6 at WW, $6.60 at Milkrun.

And on special items the way the calculate the specials is a bit more puzzling as for example, coke 12x300ml bottle pack is $10 at WW from the standard $20, whereas Milkrun is down to $13.20 from standard $22.

Seems like a 20% reduction margin on specials, ie: if 50% at WW, it's 40% at Milkrun.

      • you are right. Everything i marked up 10%. So effectively, 10% off and delivery. The same if you have rewards extra.

        • Can still work out and Milkrun can be handy if you can't be bothered to go to supermarket (particularly if you not that close to one)

I think the margins are added to product to pay for the collection and delivery costs that would be incurred.

    • Looking at diced Italian tomatoes 800g, MILKRUN is $2.20 and Woolies is $2. There's the 20%

        That's 10%

        • Serves me right trying to do Quick Maffs

  • The site is struggling hard for me.

When Coles is running $10 off $50 3 times in a week
Dont think this deal is attractive
especially milkrun already have at least a 10% markup from woolies price

    • +1

Not everything has a markup. Many of Woolworths' own raw meat/chicken products are the same price as in store.

Chicken Breast Fillet, Chicken Mixed Pieces, Chicken Tenderloins, Chicken Mince, Chicken Wings, Pork Mince, Scotch Fillet Pork, Pork Rashers, Pork Loin Chop, Beef Mince, Beef Porterhouse Steak & Butter, Beef Sizzle Schnitzel, Beef Rump Stir Fry, etc.

Some Woolworths bread products are also the same price as in store. Right now I can see "Woolworths Jumbo Soft Round Rolls 6 pack" and "Woolworths Multigrain Rolls 6 pack" at the same price as in store.

It takes a little bit of time/effort to compare the prices, but there is definitely a deal to be had here.

I'm not paying full price for NT! Let me know when NT is 20% off.

Might not be a good deal for everything, but I'm finding alcohol is cheaper than anywhere else.

  • +3

    Amex has cashback too

  • +2

Double-dip with AMEX. Also Iโ€™ve found meat / poultry to have no mark-up / least amount of markup.

  • Thanks for the heads up! Got drinks delivered!

  • Does Milkrun allow us to stack codes?

  • It works in the NT too.
Thought I'd try before I posted 'bloody outrage' cause they sent me the email

  • +1

Don't even know what to buy after the Coles $10 off promos.

  • Did anyone get coupon codes to stack? I just asked on the live chat and they said itโ€™s only one per order.

    • they never had stackable codes. You also cant use woolies or wish gift cards to pay for the order.

  • Would this code stack with the $10 off new user codes?
