Is it powered by one or two usb plugs?

I've used portable hd that require 2 and it's so frustrating.

Generally speaking these days external hard drives come with a single ended cable. Drives are more energy efficient than previous ones from a few years ago, and USB2 does allow higher current support (compared to USB1 which was more limited hence dual connectors were more common)..

USB3 allows for even a higher current so if you are going to use this on USB3 you will be fine, for USB2 some systems potentially may not offer enough juice (laptops for example and self powered hubs).

Please note, I have this WD HDD, their read/write speed is only around 50~60MB/s even it said USB 3.0
