Apple iPhone 16 Pro 128GB $1528 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ Harvey Norman (Price Beat $1451.60 @ Officeworks)

660

Get in quick before Officeworks changes their price to match!

Apple iPhone 16 Pro 128GB at Harvey Norman is: $1528

Currently Officeworks has the same model for $1529 - Price beat if my morning maths is correct should be $1451.60.

The $1 cheaper price means you should be able to utilise their: ‘Our Price Beat Guarantee (PBG)’.

Hopefully a few of you find this deal of use, so the savings can go towards a case or paying life bills (I personally am an android guy and got the cheap as chips Pixel 8 for $399 last week but a friend wanted a new iPhone pro).

Enjoy!

    Thanks boss!

  • Just picked one up, thanks OP. Does anyone know what the all time low is for these?

    • 1519 from what I can see here

    • +3

If you go through this deal, the total comes to $1,307 + 4 months free 100GB mobile plan, that’s $341 upfront, plus $69 for 4 months, and a $966 cancellation fee.

      • This one is not for Pro :-)

        • +1

$1187 credit to any iPhone 16 series.

      • This deal works out way better than any possible price beat + % off gift cards you do with OW

Got mine for $1443 a month and a half ago

Need a deal on 256gb or Promax

    • Pro Max 128GB Usually $2K right

      • Promax comes only in 256gb and more. The cheapest for 256gb is $1880 at Costco

      Cool story

Shopback has the 3% off ultimate everyone giftcard, that can be converted into officeworks GC. Then $1451 —> $1408

    • Would you risk it knowing officeworks may not price beat or could price match any minute?

I'd rather deal with OW than HN, even if the price is the same. This isn't a case when OW can say "not the same model" or "different warranty" or "grey-market import", are there any other grounds OW could try to use?

        • +1

No but chances are they’ll change the price 5 mins after you buy the gift cards

          • @Brick50: Then you'll be no worse off in terms of money, and still don't have to deal with HN, so still a win. All you've wasted is a bit of your time, buying the gift cards.

            • @Russ: You’ll be 5% worse off, what do you mean no worse off?

              • @Brick50: Firstly, I'm assuming you have a HN store nearby, and they have stock of the iPhone. OW don't price beat if the competitor store doesn't have stock. If the HN store with stock is far away, OW will add in the delivery charge.

                Two scenarios:

Scenario 1: OW does the price beat, you pay using gift cards you purchased for $1408, as noted by @jmmjbb above.

Scenario 2: OW matches the HN price just before you purchase, so you can't use price beat. You pay using the same gift cards you purchased for $1408 and top-up with an extra $76.40 via cash or credit/debit card, so OW receives $1451.60 (as gift cards) + $76.40 (top-up) = $1528 total, but as you got the gift cards at a discounted rate, it cost you $1408 + $76.40 = $1484.40.

Compared to purchasing from HN for $1528, you're saving in both scenarios. So you're no worse off compared to purchasing from HN.

There is a third possible scenario: OW suddenly goes "out of stock" of all those iPhone models, and considering some of the shonky ways OW has tried to get out of their price beat guarantee, that's a possibility. If you're not careful, you could be stranded with gift cards and no iPhone. I reckon you should be able to avoid getting stranded with the gift cards if you go in-store at OW, confirm their stock levels in that store, then immediately purchase the "ultimate everyone" gift cards while you're at the OW store, add them to your mobile's wallet, and use them directly to purchase the iPhone.

Actually, @jmmjbb made a mistake: you can't convert "Ultimate Everyone" gift cards to OW egift cards. To use them at OW you have to either use the "Ultimate Everyone" cards online at OW, or add them to your mobile wallet and use them in-store at OW. The instructions say "To redeem your Ultimate eGift Card in-store, you need to add the eGift to your Mobile Wallet and simply tap your Mobile Wallet on their EFTPOS/VISA machine to make a contactless payment."

  • its a deal, but its already end of June, and the new iphone is coming…

at this point, i think they are clearly doing this to get rid of the stock ASAP for the new phone lol

    • True, Apple buyers will need to weigh that up. But with the impeding tariffs, there’s plenty of uncertainty about whether Apple will spread tariffs across all markets (higher starting IPhone 17 model prices in Aus?).

This price for the IPhone 16 Pro also appears to be lower than what the IPhone 15 Pro was going for in June 2024.

    • Yeah, I'm waiting to see what the 17 brings. Although, I am risking the possibility of a price rise.

      • And I’m wondering if it’s better to buy 16 pro now and save couple of hundred dollars or buy the 17 pro as I can wait 3 months. But wondering which will be the best value for money

        • 17 pro have larger RAM.

    • There's always a new phone coming, and you can still buy the iPhone 13 years later so I don't think they are concerned about excess stock.

  • I am waiting for the Pro Max 256GB to hit the $1600 mark as iPhone 17 is around the corner !

    • phone works out to $1716 if you sign up to the $69 HN Optus plan and cancel after 4 months, or stay on it if you pay more than $28 a month for your sim
