Yeah I'm in the same boat. Went over to thr forum and couldn't see any codes.

    • -3

      Me too please! Have racq…

      • -2

        Me three!

    • -2

      And me if possible!

    • Me too please 🙏

Amex also has an offer for spend $500 get $50 back (works out to 10%, roughly same as CBA), for those without a CBA card.

    • anything for close to $1 to bring it to $500 though?

  • It's genetic code right. Just share here

    • +1

It appears unique, its generated via RACV ID + first/last name. If someone has a used code they can share, I can help confirm whether its unique or generic.

      • Its unique and you can only use once, I used mine about a month ago and it generates the same unique code and says its already been redeemed

      • Thanks for checking

      GATTACA

      "It's genetic code"…

… as in "a set of rules that dictates how the sequence of nucleotides in DNA or RNA is translated into the sequence of amino acids in proteins"?! :)

      • Correct. Linked to each individual.

  • I have standard bambino, I know that common fault of bambino plus is the thermistor for automatic milk throthing dies and it stops working just flashes error button leds and no more coffee for you.
automatic milk throther is just more to fail, recommend buy standard bambino with manual milk throthing, not the plus.
have friend with bambino plus that had it die 2 times, first time replace with bambino plus, second time replace with standard bambino.

    • A few years in on the plus for using milk exclusively and its great. Very well built.

The reason for the plus is good - the automilq is awesome and exclusive to this price range. I can kick it off while prepping and it saves time.

    • I have the plus, my milk frother stopped working after a year. I didn’t get it repaired during the warranty period, anyone knows how much it costs for breville to have a look at it? I’m in Sydney.

      • I think it was a couple of hundred to fix.

      • You should get it fixed under the Australian Consumer Law, just mention it to the support person you're dealing with and they'll change their tune. Warranties are a red herring in Australia and it's shocking that many people still aren't aware of their rights. The government needs to tighten the laws to require the information to be more accessible to consumers.

    • Not sure why you are negged - it's a valid point for buyers to consider. This happened to the Auto frother on our Oracle … sensor replacement had been required.
Our machine has needed professional repair twice since leaving warranty fairly expensively / sent away at 7 years old.

I'm using Bambino Plus just over 3yrs now, there is problems with this machine that I dislike but I haven't experience any failures so far, touch wood. Overall I say this coffee machine is good oh I don't use the automatic milk throthing, maybe that could be the reason for the failure.

    • +1

Had mine for several years and never had an issue.

    • +1

I have had my original bambino for about 5 years without it missing a beat. It's an awesome machine for it's size and cost in my opinion. I use the automatic milk frothing just about every time I use it without fail. I clean it regularly and keep up with routine maintenance so maybe that keeps it running well for me.

    • Same here, mine was asking me to clean and descale too often and we are not a heavy user. I think this is how they make you spend more on their cleaning products. It happened so often, that it became frustrating. You wake up in the morning, you want to make a good coffee, the damn machine keeps flashing, WTF, just cleaned or descaled a couple of weeks ago. I had to discard mine. No more Brreville coffee machine for me.

  • Thanks OP, moving up from a good old V60.

  • I can't see anything in the commbank app. Do you need to have a certain tier in CBA Yello?

    • I think its just targeted, so you just have to be lucky. Myself and another family member who both have Yello at the highest tiers didn't end up with the offer.

  • +2

I don't see the offer on CBA Yello. Shame

    • Same here.

    • My wife had it on her CBA profile, but I didn't. So you if you have another account holder - check it on their account.

  • Damn i wish they still had the Olive Green colour Bambino Plus. I wonder why they got rid of it

  • +2

Just so everyone knows and can factor in to their mental math on this deal
The two free bags of coffee are 2x 250g
    Not 2x 1kg bags

Grabbed this deal a while back when racv had the promo and cashrewards also had an upsized offer (which luckily for me stacked and tracked) and was hoping it was 2kg or 1kg of coffee, but no, 500g total.

  • +2

Got a bit excited but realised RACQ isn't RACV.

  • No requests for codes in comments. Please use megathread instead

  • Anyone priced the Bambino using this method? Is it $323.30?

    • +1

The sea salt would be $288

  • I've just redownloaded the Commbank app for the first time in a while and this isn't currently showing up as a deal for me. My understanding is to be eligible for Commbank Yello I need to make 5 transactions in a month. Can anyone confirm if that's correct?

    • Correct. Eligibility is displayed in the Yello tab

      • Dang looks like I haven't been targeted this time

  • I'm seeing the price as $549 not $499? Am I missing something?

    • Looks like the sale has ended, I will mark both deals as expired.

    • Black Truffle and Sea Salt still available.

  • Was the aboriginal colour always $550? I swear it was more

    • I think it was more. I bet that it's not selling that much.

  • For those looking for the unique code, but haven't had any luck thus far, I suggest looking at my comment in the code request megathread linked at the bottom of the original post, on how to get it for less than a cost of a cup of coffee (all credit goes to veni for their suggestion in page 2 of the comment thread).

  • My experience with one like that, it is messy and it forces you to clean and descale too often, kind of to make you buy more of their products.
