With the current sale coming to an end, here's a fresh set of codes active from now until the end of the month. Like the current sale this will apply on nearly all products with a few of the usual exceptions including mobile phones and Big Save limited products.

The minimum spend excludes GST and shipping. Each coupon is 1 per account and don't stack with the new user account "Welcome Offer".

How to get the AU$ price in the title with PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

P.s. the symbol ~ means "approximately" or "about". So ~A$20 means "about A$20" and not "exactly A$20" due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Slim pickings unfortunately. A few of the better deals below - links intentionally broken to prevent OzB from censuring them. As always, click thru from your cashback provider and after enrolling in the AliExpress cashback program for a further 10% + 10% cashback, and buy from the coins page to maximise subsidies for any bonus coin accruals and any shopping rebate credits. Combining these or other items may render you eligible for even bigger discount codes. Check this and previous @Clear posts for coupon codes.

I've just put in a request for further discounts on those you've linked + the RLC-811A requested above. Hopefully Reolink/Ali says yes.

        • Always on the job! Thanks again.

Hope for others that you have some joy, even though I’ll begrudge the money I’ve already spent on them this sale! This is a dangerous habit I’ve developed. Damned dopamine…

          • @UncleRico: Second that..Thanks Clear!

Question for both.. Which PoE camera would u recommend for the entrance porch?

            • @ahoyoid: Trackmix. Two lens - one maintains wide shot, the other has auto Pan Tilt & Zoom to follow any cars / intruders / Amazon deliveries.

              • @UncleRico: Thanks for that…I have 1 TrackMix installed on top of the garage door. Also have a reolink Doorbell in the Entrance Porch. Was thinking of something to augment the Doorbell.

                • @ahoyoid: In that case, Duo 2 or 3 for wide-angle or CX810 for night vision and general coverage.

                  Trackmix link @ US$90.28/AU$140 after coins & codes AEAU15 and REOLINK1835.

        • How did you go?

          • @swamp potato: Some of the codes didn't work for me when I clicked through SB, CR or TopCashback. Worked when I didn't.

      • Hi
im looking at the NVR and wondering whats the difference between this. Why is the 8CH more expensive than the one you listed above? Is there more value in getting the one with more channels?

For example if I am only looking to install 8 cameras, would it be worth getting the one that supports more channels as they are similar in price?

  • If your item is faulty, you will need to pay the return postage upfront to receive a refund now.

    • +1

Don't think this applies to choice items.

    • +3

Not entirely true. For me it's allowing 5 free returns a month. I suspect it's either Choice items, how much you spend or a combination of both.

hmmm getting 'Unable to apply promo code. The total after discount (excl. shipping) doesn't meet the minimum purchase amount.' I've made tons of orders with the coupon codes and first time getting this. All the items are affiliated too. I have a ~$63 order when excluding tax/shipping but only the $3 coupon works and the $6 keeps getting the error message.

    • That means not everything in your cart is eligible and those that are aren't meeting the minimum spend for the code.

      • How can I tell if they're elligible?

        • If they exceed US$13 try AUAU03 on each.

        • +1

This happened to me on the weekend when I had about 8 items I was purchasing. I literally had to go through the cart adding them one by one to work out which one the coupons didn't work on. Once I removed that item and replaced it with the same item from a different seller the order went through with coupon applied. Was very frustrating.

Though later on I then noticed on the website for items that coupons apply to there is now a red bar near the price at the top of the items page that says "AU$3.00 off orders over AU$20.00". Clicking on that bar also reveals other coupons. I'm not sure if that was always there and I just didn't notice it, or if it's because I "collected" all the coupons in the app that show in your account section under the "EOFY SALE" banner. But now that's an easy indicator to know if a coupon will work with an item.

Cant get these to work on any of the Xiaoxin Pad Pro Deals eg - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009177611245.html?
I can't apply any vouchers and GST is well over 10%.

    • Can confirm that vouchers don't apply to that seller with that product. Looking up a different seller like this one for example and coupons do apply: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003844532181.html

Not sure how they're getting away with adding so much GST onto products. Showing over 13% for me

      • +3

Not sure how they're getting away with adding so much GST onto products.

        Report to ATO.

      • I was being quoted $7.06 in "tax" on a $33.30 shopping cart. As soon as I asked their support agents about it, they sent me the same generic text pointing you to the ATO statement about reducing the $1000 threshold on GST on imports.

Oddly, I have had a previous order with below 10% in GST.

It seems to be hit-n-miss. I'm not sure how GST registered buyers would get away with trying to claim back a GST figure greater than 10% of the total sale price.

Their calcs are messed up. Still, the pricing can't be beat so we take the good with the bad.

        • I was gonna buy a food thermometer on Aliexpress.
Listed price was $13.96, discounted price was $1.55, whereas on the checkout page the GST I need to pay is $1.72! That's 111% GST.

I played with the EDP thingy on this link(ato.gov.au) a little bit. Here is my understanding:
The listed/original price was $13.96, with 88% discount, now the sale price is $1.55.
So I was supposed to pay $13.96 * (1 + 10%) which is $15.356. And this price would minus the discount part applied by the EDP, which is $13.96 - $1.55 = $12.41.
          so I should only need to pay $15.356 - $12.41 = $2.946.
          But at the checkout page I need to pay $1.55 + $1.72 = $3.27??

Tell me this is not a scam.

@newguy: We all agree that it's shifty, but you're still landing items significantly cheaper than elsewhere as @beeze notes above.

At least if we're going to be raped and gouged, I'm glad it's just for 36 cents. I've done much worse for less - and it shouldn't leave too much of a hole…

            • @UncleRico: Some items may look the same as we shop at a local store but the quality may not. Many times if the thing doesn’t work as expected we probably don’t even bother to deal with Aliexpress return/refund. Although it is 60% cheaper than Amazon and 70% cheaper than in bigW in this case.

              • @newguy: Nothing surer - all the moreso on temu. But in the case of the tablets and cameras cited in this thread, we're talking about the exact same items shipped from the exact same warehouses. And in the case of Reolink, from Sydney.

I avoid certain items from dropshippers and AliExpress for the reasons you mention. Proven products like Reolink are not one of them.

Your original comment related to being scammed out of 36 cents, and made no mention of inferior or unreliable knock off products. I get being skeptical if you're an anal-retentive accountant or don't have a risk profile for buying online, but the value proposition in this case is pretty strong - and one I'm prepared to indulge for a 50% saving, less the 36 cents…

          • @newguy: I think they have better things to do. Mostly is ok but some of their systems suck. I tried to buy a tablet last night, no codes worked. Today, working for some. Their systems are likely a mess and they constantly have new promos and deals, probably one of endless bugs they can't be assed to fix when the next campaign is days away.

  • They also add GST on postage! I am not sure how much of these collected GST are forwarded to the AU Govt.

    • Guaranteed not the full amount. Magic maths.
