As an Electrician I think this kit is a bit of a waste and I own it. You're better off with the Fluke 325 as it will do DC amps on the clamp unless you need to test diodes. I run the Fluke-374FC nowadays as it's CAT IV at 600V which is required on most industrial jobs. If you're not a sparky and you just want to work on cars you shouldn't be plugging any meters into wall outlets just get a HT206D the D is important it does DC amps from AliExpress, supercheap or amazon and stick to very low voltages 12v-48V. It even has non contact voltage sensor so if you want to know if an outlet has power or not without plugging anything in.

    • I will say, the magnet strap that comes in this kit is so handy. That being said, I've also defaulted to just having my clamp on me.

Just aliexpress/amazon a magnet strap. I have for my 1587, couldnt justify the price fluke wanted.

    • outside of the clamp meter, how do you rate the multimeter? If i were to just sell off the clamp meter and keep the multi?

It's a Fluke product it does the job & does it well. The 323 definitely has a few things I don't like. I'd rather the 117 & a cheap AliExpress AC/DC clamp.

        • After doing some research i definately understand the hate towards the 323. lowkey getting buyers remourse.. THOUGH! at this stage my plan is to sell it off to offset the price of the 117, having done my research it seems like the 117 is still a great unit if i can claim back $200 back for the clamp meter.

Then my next goal is to eventually go all in on the 374FC. the voltsense tech is what is selling me on that unit… but i need to hold myself back on making large purchases :P

Fluke is literally the “Dyson” of multimeters.

    • Not bad but overpriced for what it is?
