Seems like a nice little deal for a solid build quality laptop.

Depends on what you’re playing, if you want productivity with a side of gaming this thing is killer. Great screen, build quality and battery life!
Which one do ya recommend. Looking to upgrade before eofy for tax time
Lenovo are top notch for the price, though this particular model seems a bit pointless at that price point
I suppose you are expecting 4060 with WQXGA for an extra $100? Quick search results in nothing under $2000. If you want to keep this price and go 4060 you are dropping to 1080p.
what would you recommend for this price?
New deal with 4060 available: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/913061
If your happy with FHD display, I got used to Mac retina displays and couldn’t go back to FHD unfortunately.
if you want one: https://www.lenovo.com/au/outlet/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops…
2 refurbs with even better gpu 4060 for this price
Buy this if you do not have a lot of problems in your life.
:-0
Has to be at least rtx 4060
Would this be a better idea

How is Lenovo loq vs legion. I’m guessing the wattage will be lower on the more budget chassis.
Gaming will probably still be fine on Non-AAA titles. Probably can still get a 30fps on lower settings in AAA.
If you grew up in a time of playing a pc game on any system you could find, then its perfectly fine.Lenovo Legion build quality is a lot better than LOQ. People who complain about legion build quality probably have never had to replace their keyboard, monitor etc on a laptop or even opened up the newer legions to see whats inside.
The screen hinge is quite well designed and theres far more internal reinforcement compared to 2021 and 2019 models.
I would however opt for an older P series or T series laptop for office use.
Everyone seems to be missing the fact this is 2560x1600. 4060 will drop the resolution to 1080p unless you spend over $2000.
There's a lot people are missing…
Although I personally wouldn't buy it, the legion 5-9 lines are usually very well packaged.
Great display, good enough for them to bother calibrating it, VRR, keyboard, cooling, appropriate CPU etc
I have just picked up one up and it’s very robust for the price.
The RTX 4050 gpu is surprising strong. Finally a x50 series which hasn’t been gimped.
Seems to be similar to 3060 is benchmark tests. Won’t be running AAA at 170fps 2560x 1600 though, but it’s solid.

Lol 4050 , 16 GB ram, 512gb storage for $1.4k is not a great deal
