perfect time to use the Yello offer (spend $50 and $10 back)

    • +3

Mine is spend $100 and get $15

    • Is there an extra step to activate Yello? We've had the Ultimate Awards card for 1.5 months now, hundreds of transactions as it's our only card, yet in the app when I tap CBA Yello it still says 'No new offers yet. Check back later.'

      • +1

        For Yello Gold
        15 transactions in the month.
$50k in account or CommBank loan under $1m

        • -1

It doesn't say anywhere about needing savings and home loan with Commbank here though

          • +2

@King Steuart: I ended unlocking by splitting card payments ($1) using the self service checkouts at Colesworth and Kmart/Big W. After you do 15-30 withdrawals/payments it takes about a week or 2 for yello to activate.

            • @gccmelb: Ok well I just looked at an 'example of Commbank Yello eligibility' and it says for the first time it will activate 'early' in the month, not immediately at the start of the month so I might have to give it a few days before contacting them.

          • +1

            @King Steuart: Try this page:
            https://www.commbank.com.au/commbank-yello.html?ei=Rewards
Scroll down to the comparison table between the levels and the information on how to gain them.

    • Which tier do you need to see this offer? The baseline 'Everyday' tier doesn't show it (to me at least).
Incidentally, in July I should have qualified for the 'Everyday Plus' tier, but won't find out for a couple of days still, so I still can't stack the offers. Oh well.

There engine oil prices are already more than double.

    • +7

Repco had their $20 voucher for $60 spend on, everything was inflated. I just bought consumables in their Clearance section for any of it to be of actual 'value'
Have to be very select in these credit/sitewide sales.

    • Good to know, Chrs.

Anywhere you'd recommend as a first place to looking (wife's car needs an oil change - first time I've done one myself in years…)

      • +1

Just google it you will get so many options. That where you can get the your particular oil on cheap price.

      • +3

If you have an owner's manual, it gives you the oil grade, oil spec, oil capacity.
Loading your car into the vehicle field on any of the shop websites will give you the filter.
And just get the needed (and some nice to have) consumables. Oil tray, some degreaser, rags, maybe an oil wrench if you know it will be a stubborn filter after a long time, filling funnel, gloves, new crush washer for the sump plug.

        • Yeah, it's a vw golf, so oil spec needs to meet VW 504 00 or VW 502 00.
Using an oil extractor this time (tube down the dipstick), so will be hopefully a bit cleaner than dropping the sump plug.
It's just an oil refresh between services, so not too worried about getting every little drop out.

          Google is my friend.

      • +3

Adding onto the commen about finding matching oil, I'd recommend using an oil manafactuers website rather the Supercheap/retailer, as it is usually more in depth and more accurate.

I've used Penrite's website and found it very helpful in explaining the options.

  • Hoping this will stack with their current sale prices.

    • Usually not. Also the "Club Prices" are not discounted further.

Hard to get a Real Bargain, unless you really need that item(s) above $100.

      • +1

Can confirm, I used SAVE and it makes the price of my cart go up. It changed the price to RRP and took 25% of that, which is still much higher than the original sale price. Rubbish offer.

  • exclusives security camera brands, ugh.

  • any engine oil for sale?

  • Can use code on tyres?

    • +1

Excludes Ring, Eufy, Black Vue, clearance, purchase of gift cards, tyres, delivery charges, services & charity donations.

  • +2

They are also removing the 14 day price reduction guarantee via credit soon.

    • +2
    • with all these promo code sales. it cancels the price guarantee out anyway.
I just got bit as i needed to purchase something over the weekend at full price… probably wont get my 25% back…

  • +2

God da MIT EOFY was yesterday, not today

    • When's prime day again

      • +1

        8th to 14th of July.

  • +1

$5 credit per $100 spent is unrelated to this deal, it replaced the price reduction guarantee
You don't have to spend all $100 in one transaction, accrual earn periods are calendar year

  • Any bargins?

    • +11

      indicator fluid half price

  • Doesn’t work with car battery?

    • +1

      Yes !

      Just got a $359 4x4 battery for $190.50

      • Which battery
I need new battery for my Ranger 3.2

  • Does this work with a price match?

    • Unlikely.

      • +2

Worked! Got them to price beat Rolan for Bosch wipers

  • Bought something on Sunday. Club member card scanned. Will I get some credit refunded?

    • +1

Pretty sure they stopped doing that in the last month or two. Now replaced with the spend $100 and get $5 credit deal.

    • +1

      Probably yes.

  • Laser 7" Wireless Smart Monitor NAVC-7CP-931 $169.99 - bought one of these on AliExpress for $30~ Cheap knockoff brand

  • Wonder if price matching and the code will work together

    • Unlikely.

      • Maybe gotta do it quick before they catch on haha

    • Just put through an order and got both. Good luck!

      • +1

        Just got a $359 4x4 battery for $190.50 what a score

  • Every time sitewide , every time mobil 1 same price

  • +1

    Stay safe, and enjoy

    Safe from what? High prices?

  • Price matching and the code works

    • Can confirm price matching works. Picked up a pair of wipers for $33 reduced from 90

  • TA reputation being a lad is getting a fair few upvotes here.

  • +2

Needed the 15w-40 engine oil but all prices are so heavily jacked up. Ended up ordering from Bunnings:

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/nulon-5l-semi-synthetic-15w-40-e…

  • -8

    Not site wide. False advertising.
Club prices matching the full price to stop the full price having the promo applied.
I won’t waste time on this mob again.

    • Come on Neggers. Let’s hear your deals.. what do you get?

  • Price match button has disappeared for me.

    • The team was probably offline.

      • Offline during their planned evening sale. Very convenient. No Deal.

        • Isn't price matching only available during business hours anyway?

  • There price match teams are offline. How do i get a price match?

    • When they are offline, you cannot.
