Vitacost Mega EFA Omega-3 EPA & DHA 240 Count -~ $8.60aus Each

100

Today only 240 softgel fish oil tabs . I take 4 of these with is equivalent of about 7 1500mg tabs that I used to get locally when you look at the actual DHA and EPA content .These tabs are actually also smaller which makes them easier to swallow .
This is the usual deal with vitacost where you sign up using someones referral code to get a $10 off new user code .The tubs are $8.95 each but you have to spend $30 to enable the $10 off coupon so you will have to find some vitamin c or something you want for about $4 but make sure it's light as the 3 tubs come to 2.58 pounds and the cheap shipping stops at 3 pounds . Shipping is $7

EDIT : This deal expires 18/01/13 (US) so within hours now . The oil doesn't expire yesterday……
Everytime I've ordered these from Vitacost they have been very fresh as in the manufacture date was within a few months of me getting my hands on them .

Apparently you can also save an extra %10 by using the set and save function (auto reorder) and then just change it afterwards , but I didn't bother . Maybe I'm just not a true ozbargainer .—-Not valid for customers outside US .

Awesome find! Bought one of these for $21 when they had it BOGO 1/2 so the second was $10, but this works out much cheaper and you only need to purchase 1! For those you can't see it they have a very subtle strawberry flavouring to them with gets rid of the fishy odour.

  • thanks op!

  • War about the shipping?

    • Shipping is $6.99, might want to add that to the OP

  • So many good deals at Vitacost. I'm ordering a couple of these for myself now.

  • Seems like a good deal so just grabbed a couple. Thanks.

Product expiry date was 18th January, 2013. Not sure how important that is for fish oil though.

I ordered 3 tubs and only held off ordering another 3 due to the expiry date.

Where did you see that? Are you sure that is not just the expiry for the deal? 9pm 18jan13? I hope it's not true, fish oil does lose some of it's effectiveness as it gets older. It can also go rancid, in which case you have to throw it out.

      • I may have misread their page then. The text is gone now since the deal on the cheap ones has finished.

Might want to be careful with ordering a large number of these as they could be close to their expiry. The price is a big discount on the regular price which was already very good. I ordered 2 for myself so might end up giving away to friends/family. If you're trying to make up $30 for the referral code maybe add some vitamins or Atkins bars or something else instead.

    • Last time I ordered these about 6 months ago the expiry was sometime in 2014 .
No where does it say the product expires within weeks .
All the vitacost fish oil I've ever bought was delivered to me within a few months of it's manufacture date .

      • Just saying that when fish oil goes on clearance locally it usually means that it is within about 6-12 months of expiry date. I'm sure it would be fine if you only ordered 2 or 3 but if you were thinking about ordering 6 like Stone (above) it would take two years to get through them at the recommended dosage.

This could just be a really good deal without any problems on the expiry date (Vitacost are known for having some great deals) but sometimes if it seems too good to be true it is.

        • I thought you had confused the expiry date with the end of the sale like the other poster .

Good deal. Got 3 and added a calcium 180 caps for $10 then $10 off promo = free extra. Still within weight limit :)

Damn I had already planned to buy these sometime in the next few days but missed this deal due to sleeping in. -.-'

  • I missed the deal due to the email notifying it coming a day late. Think I'll go back to XtendLife instead. I get this one http://www.xtend-life.com/product/Omega_3_QH_Ultra.aspx which already has CoQ10 in it, no additional purchase required. It really helped my joints, only taking 2/day.

  • Just received it and there is no best before date but the manufacture date was 1st Sep 2012 so they are pretty fresh. Surprisingly they also included a free sample of Hydroxycut which I find unusual because they say they can no longer send samples to Australia and I didn't request it anyway. It's also unusual because it contains Yohimbe which is banned in Australia.
