      Viettel is hands down the best network for speed and coverage as it's run by the government through their telco offshoot. I'd get the 30 days to cover your whole trip.

    How do you check data usage? I went to the website and is asking for a ICCUD and KeyID for esim. Only given ICCID, PIN and PUK with the esim email. Tried both PIN and PUK as the KeyID but it's not giving me any results.

          Just to clarify we have Japan eSIM with HK IP (operator) which blocks TikTok and ChatGPT

          Our Docomo IIJ is a local eSIM which will does not block these apps so if the above is important we recommend this one.

          If you need Unlimited data then out KDDI Unlimited would suits best

      Hello if you choose our local eSIMs such as T-Mobile / AT&T / Verizon these need to be activated manually by the operator which is why we require "up to 24 hours" however if you know your dates, you can input your activation date and it will be activated prior to your arrival.

    Got myself the $28.50 20GB Japan eSIM Docomo /IIJ last Feb trip. Didn't experience any dropouts with my iPhone 13 Pro in the 3 main cities and 4G speeds were great.

    Also bought a Japan 30-days 10GB 5G eSIM 3HK for $18 for my mum. Although when we landed, we discovered her second-hand iPhone 13 Pro Max didn't have eSIM capability because it's from China. We ended up not using it so make sure to check for that because no refunds if your phone is not eSIM capable.

    I'm heading again next month so just wondering if anyone would recommend the Softbank physical SIM over Docomo /IIJ eSIM.

    Hi there, just wondering, if I get an esim for 7 days, is it calendar days or 24 hour periods?

    E.g. I will land in Vietnam on a Wednesday and leave the following Wednesday. Would the 7 day esim be valid (I land at 9:30pm and leave at 5pm the following Wednesday) for the entirety of the trip? Or will I need the 10 day esim?

    For anyone travelling to South America to considering the Orange Global Explorer 30 day eSIM, don't even bother.

    The setup process was smooth and clear, and the value was decent compared to other travel eSIMs.

    On the ground, however (I've been here in Cusco, Peru) for three days now) the reception fluctuates between zero and full bars despite being stationary in the one spot, and even when there's full bars, majority of the time (90%) there's an exclamation mark and no internet.

    In addition to that, Travelkon makes it quite clear that they don't offer refunds once you've activated the service.

    You're better off looking for an alternative product (travelkon doesn't seem to have another for South America), or just walking around looking for wifi.
