I saw this Orbi RBKE963 package posted and have no idea why it was posted for full price. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/908540

this is the router from that pack without the two satellites. you would expect satellites to cost less so total pack should be under $1k. (it's currently $1.3k right now )

WiFi 6E. 200m2 (2150 sqft). 200 concurrent devices.

if you get the 2 satellites for mesh the coverage is 600m2.

this looks like an air purifier.

    • yeah wifi purifier.

recommend to those who are afraid of dirty 5Ghz wireless signal.

  • Damn! Waiting on a decent two pack deal.

Can't seem to find any recently priced satellites

I don't know how Netgear continue to charge exorbitant prices for the Orbi paperweight.

    • so seems like you have a problem with the product in particular.

but why not recommend the better alternative at similar price range as well?? that would be helpful.

I actually saw this Netgear post and remembered someone who had a great experience with the Orbi version they got for a bit less by stacking with 2x $200 GC with $20 credit.
      difference being WiFi 7 vs 6E, and 250m2 150 devices / vs 200m2 and 200 devices.

they haven't had a single issue btw. Orbi is ideal for non techy people it's easy to setup and use. they basically just cloned the same WiFi as their old router, everything connected automatically, not a single disconnect or dropout in years they said and the separate 2.4ghz network reaches out into the garden.

I think most WiFi issues come from user error. the person who has the Orbi basically did minimal setup as instructed using the app, and they didn't change any settings because they admitted they didn't know what they were doing. again zero issues.

      • I've had several Orbi's in the past and never learned my lesson, one just as bad as the other. If you want a WiFi 6E Mesh System that just works, look at the TP-Link XE75. I am technically minded and adjusted all the settings no avail, it's simply a trash product.

        • ok well thank you for the recommendation.

just to be honest when you leave a comment basically trashing the product with zero recommendations. it makes it seem like you just googled it and had no experience with the product that's all.

worth mentioning I still point out when netgear gets it horribly wrong.

a commercial model range (here it was their entire Pro series, but here is just the post I commented on) was posted at low prices at one point. and I quickly found out netgear is EOL that product range after only 1 year after release (most likely because it didn't sell well). I tried to comment about it in deals of the same product posted because I think people should be aware.

not saying it is going to be "broken" but not getting any updates after 1 year is ridiculous.

  • $489 now, which seems regular price. no idea why a user posted the 3 pack (1 router 2x satellite) for $2k. 🤔

Not as good as op but couldn't seem to find satellites
