Kensington fingerprint software (for windows 10 and onwards) does not allow you to unenrol your fingerprints from the database, which is stored on the reader - it’s not stored in windows or bios with this specific type. I don’t recommend this product until they fix their drivers

    • It seems like there is a supported method in the article below. Does this not work?

It does not work for Windows 10 onwards if you reinstall windows before removing your fingerprint through windows os. Kensington does not provide the software drivers to clear the fingerprint database

          Gotcha.

That seems like a pretty significant miss that you can't factory reset the Kensington from another Windows install or computer.

  • if I buy this. and I scan my finger to get into my computer.
does that make me a anonymous?

  • bought a fingerprint reader from AliExpress $20

I'd rather a Yubi key at this point. You can get some that have a fingerprint reader if you want. https://www.yubico.com/au/product/yubikey-bio/
