    • Nice price…did you have a decent tradein?

      • $35 watch 5 pro

  • Has anyone been able to find a place to see the classic in person before preordering? Am torn between that and the ultra…
Jbhifi said they might have it in the next week maybe.. 🤔
    Thanks.

    • +1

If you go to Johnny Big get Ultra otherwise noh

    • They had it on display at JB I went last weekend.

I feel like this year is not a good year, especially W8 classic have smaller screen than W6 classic, and basically same Ultra as last year.

      • I know but theyre such good prices!! 😮‍💨

    • +1

See my post above, I saw it in JBhifi in Wagga last Saturday, worst part is I can't unsee it.

      • +1

🤣 i actually dont mind it in pictures…feel its very similar to ultra- but with all the negative love i wanted to see in person..
Just found jb wollongong has them, going there tmw..
        Thanks.

        • +1

It's a lot uglier than the ultra I reckon, the round bezel looks out of place on a watch that shape as it sticks up a fair way. I don't mind the look of the Ultra, it's just too damn big. I thought it was pretty good looking at the photos, but in real life when you can pick it up and check it out properly it's not good.
Everyone has different tastes so hopefully you're happy with it, the world would be a pretty boring place if everyone liked the same things.

          • +1

@whitey: Silver yes black one looks good

            • @xxJAGUARxx: Huh, it was definitely the black one I saw?? They only come in black and white don't they? The so called black one has a silver body with a black ring with the seconds marked on it and a small bit of black over the buttons and a black band. When I saw the first photos of it online I saw an "all black body" photo of it that looked ok, but this so called black one isn't black like the old Watch6 classic was black. I think the white one looks better than the black one, but that's a bit like saying Trump is a bit better than Putin.

I reckon the designers in South Korea who designed the Kia Tasman all got the sack for that abomination then all got jobs at Samsung designing the new Watch8 Classic. Just my opinion….

  • Has the discount on preordering been whittled down? It doesnt seem as cheap as when i initially scouted (without ebd code). Looking at the watch8 lte or Ultra.

    • Yes, some vouchers expired or became worth a little less after midnight on the 12th of July

      • Which voucher expired btw?

  • +1

    LIVEWATCH25 doesnt work anymore

    • Have you used it? It’s once per account

      • no i havent

    • +1

It worked for me, it works in normal store not in EPP/EDU store. With all the vouchers as mentioned by OP got watch 8 classic with camel band for $350

    • Yes LIVEWATCH25 does not work now, chat confirmed stock exhausted.

  • +5

Try using LIVEWATCH10 popped up on the website when I was code stacking. Looks like a flat 10% discount, might have replaced the exhausted LIVEWATCH25 code

    • +1

Yes,this, just beat me to it!
App is (was, now fixed again) showing all Ultras (didnt check other watches) OOS so couldnt get the extra 5% - chat confirmed all other codes for watches finished today (!?) so not sure it won't get cancelled..
Ended up with the silver ultra for $512 after codes (dirty missed the free charger but oh well…)

      Thanks all.

      • Hi mate, are you able to guide me through? I don't have EBD code and the best I'm able to do with a trade in for Ultra watch is $689. How to further bring it down?

        • Unfortunately without the EBD code, i think thats as good as you'll get with the other codes..
You could try the code forum at the top..

        • Not sure, but you can try with another chat session and tell them you want the loyalty 20% discount for the accessories, maybe they'll ask you if you have an existing device and ask for the serial number?

    • Thanks . Brings the classic down to $459.88 without the edb code

    • thanks got a classic + fabric band for $295 with all the codes.

  • +1

Anyone know how to get the watxh8 ultra down to same price as op?
Only can get down to $827

  • I ended getting the classic white with blue fabric strap for 419.

After I paid for it I realised the app also have me this discount for an additional 10%:

    LIVEWATCH10

BTW I saw the classic black at the Samsung store and I didn't like it. The metallic part looks cheap

  • How do I get the 5% off first app purchase code? I've never purchased through their app, nothing appears automatically at checkout and I contacted their chat and it said it finished in May 2025.

Is the 5% first app purchase still a thing. I want to get a code to purchase the watch ultra

  • $140 trade in value for my 1 year old Watch Ultra. That's a bit sad

  • LIVEWATCH10 doesnt work for me

  • Does anyone have a spare 20% off ?

    • Same here

      • Here too.

  • Thanks OP, this was a great deal. I managed to get the Galaxy Watch Ultra for $467 ($55 trade in credit). One of my friends found a EB4-xxxx code that worked.

    • Can you guide how is the email looks like where to find the code? How to find?

      • +2

Apparently Samsung promotional email was sent last year from australia@seao.crm.samsung.com

        And code starts with

        EBD-XXXX-
        or
        ET1-XXXX-
        or
        EB4-XXXX-

        • +1

          Found it , thanks, u r legend

    UNFOLD2025 down to $50 now.

I just grabbed a regular 44mm on EDU for $417 which I am happy with. $209 off with EDU, $50 off with UNFOLD2025, and an extra 5% first time using APP.

Went to JBHIFI yesterday and checked the Regular 44 and 40mm, the Classic and the Ultra. Here's my opinion after looking and playing with them all

    • The designs are actually quite striking in person. Nothing to get pumped about, but a breath of fresh air from the past few years from Samsung.
    • Classic and Ultra are indeed heavy. They have a presence about them and both seem like very nice pieces, purchase if you care about this type of stuff, avoid if you prefer simplicity or functionality and comfort. The regular are very comfortable and light, the new straps and design where they meet the watch make for a very natural fit, much better than my W6 44mm.
    • The screens and UI are well polished. Everything is smooth, responsive, bright, a pleasure to use.
    • The 'Graphite' regular watch is actually far less dark than stock photos and more a smokey yet surprisingly light metal finish on the main watch area/cushion. Is very nice.

I was neutral on the squircle design originally, but after seeing in store and putting on my wrist, I prefer it to the circle design of my current watch 6. I chose the regular 44mm as I dont require any statement piece with a smart watch. I prefer it to be lightweight, comfortable and not notice I am wearing it. I do a fair amount of running, and everyone questions why I dont move to Garmin. Truth is I still want the create comforts that the Samsung watch brings, especially now since I've had Gemini on my watch 6 the past few days. The experience is great, its a much more competent companion for my day to day life and saves me using my phone quite a lot. The heart rate difference between Garmin and Samsung is near parity. I am expecting with the squircle design that they are running the same GPS antenna as was in last years Ultra, as Samsung has taken much criticism over the years for their poor GPS performance (aside from the Ultra). That GPS performance is benchmarked against the best in the industry which is any Garmin watch with Multi Band GPS.

    • UNFOLD2025 is $50 for watches since the beginning

  • Anyone received their watch yet ?

    • Does your order not say: Pre-order Items Ships from: 25 Jul 2025?

      • +1

Just got an email saying order has shipped.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

        • About an hour after I replied above I got a notification saying it had shipped as well. Nice.

        • Delivered today..
Looking forward to using it, cracking deal..

    • No, but got shipping notification.
      Expected delivery tomorrow.

    • Confirmed for delivery tomorrow

    • Just received my watch 8 classic

      • Same very happy with it

  • Can't get 5% shop app discount! On Ultra

  • +2

Can confirm discount still works. Had to use EDU as EPP wouldn't accept EBD for some reason (which is the golden ticket here).

Got the Ultra in Blue - $512
Add additional $60 for the no show trade in, and final cost = $572

    What I used:
    - Pre-order discount ($250)
    - Trade-in bonus ($100)
    - Unfold promo ($50)
    - EBD (20%)
    - LIVEWATCH 10 (10%) >>> tip for this. Search your choice of watch and click on it. On the main page for your watch, scroll down and a sidebar with 'Get an extra 10% off' comes up. Copy LIVEWATCH10 and then add the watch to your shopping cart. For some reason, was only able to add that last 10% after this popped up.

Missed out on LIVEWATCH25 and extra 5%, but can't win em all. Thanks to all for the tips. Been working on this for the past 2 weeks.

For those who can't source that EBD, best I could get the Ultra down to was $718 (that was discounts above minus EBD + 5% for first time purchase on EPP).

  • check out Telstra Shop - GW8C and GW8U discount $300 - $400 respectively. cheaper than Samsung web . no need trade-in. can use Telstra points

    • Nowhere near the price here. Even if u don’t get EB code, it’s still cheaper here (or in edu/epp store). U don’t have to trade-in either if u don’t use that W8 code

  • Worth buying the classic for $420?

    • From where? Is it still possible to buy at that price?

      • From this deal, with the ebr code and everything else besides the trade in it comes to that price

  • Got my Galaxy Watch8 Classic delivered today. It's much better in real live than on photos.
I got it to replace my Classic Watch 6. Feels the same, maybe slightly heavier and a little bigger, but not noticeable.
    No regrets.

    • Yeah i wasn't certain about the outer squircle thing in the pics but IRL i don't even notice it at all. Looks good.

    • Which color did u get? Is it snappy and smooth . Hows animation compared to apple watch. I am using watch 4 classic. Is faster than that,?

      • I can't comment on an apple watch.
        Definitely snappier than watch 5.
On par or better than watch 6 classic.
        Action button is handy.
Rotating crown feels different than watch 6. More clicky…

I got black with camel hybrid band. Didn't want to pay extra for a black band :)

  • +1

got the gw8 classic + LTE for $336.96
with z flip 3 trade in with cracked screen -$5 already applyed
    EB4 code - $249.75
    Livewatch10 - $28.88
    Unfold - $50
    w10 (chat with expert) - $65.42
W8 (chat with expert or email) - $100
    5% app off ?
I think pre order bonus aswell
    total $682.79 savings XD

    • also got the z flip 256GB on the EDU store for $935.24, but then added a $109 case with unfold code that then works, it came to $939 so $5 for a case with email codes

    • What is w10 code? How did you ask for that code?

      • Would like to know as well about this W10 code? Best I can do for the Classic is $420 after $5 trade in.

        • +1

Ask for a discount code for the Galaxy Watch 7/Ultra. They were giving out 10%off for those and it worked on the Watch 8 too. Worth a try.
I got mine at 4th attempt.

      • yeah it given to me via chatting

  • +1

The only real disappointment for my is the false advertising about the ECG.

For blood pressure there is notes *19,20,21,22.

Note *19 says: Requires a Galaxy smartphone running Android 10.0 or above.

Ok so you need a galaxy for blood pressure.

Now to ECG. The only note for that is *23

*23 says: "The ECG feature is intended to create, record, store, transfer, and display a single channel electrocardiogram (ECG), similar to a Lead I ECG for adults 22 years and older. The ECG feature is not intended to replace traditional methods of diagnosis or treatment. The ECG feature is not intended for users with other known arrhythmias. If an irregular heartbeat or atrial fibrillation is detected, consult a doctor. If you experience symptoms of a heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular conditions, do not rely on the notification of the device and consult a doctor. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE. IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST, WORSEN OR CHANGE UNEXPECTEDLY, TALK TO YOUR HEALTH PROFESSIONAL "

Absolutely no mention in that about needing a galaxy branded device.

Poor form Samsung. No reason to keep it off other androids, google suggests it works, I found people have sideloaded an ap to force it in the past but it doesn't work yet for the new UI.

  • Side question: Does anyone know that this magsafe ring will enable a Galaxy S24 Ultra in a Spigen Liquid Air case to charge magnetically/wireless with the 3 in 1 charger?

    TIA

    • +1

      Answer - probably.

So, I have a couple of random magnetic cases. An "ESR" brand one that was cheap (something very much like this https://www.amazon.com.au/ESR-Compatible-Military-Grade-Prot…) , and a Freewell case that lets you add ND filters to the camera. They both attach and charge.

HOWEVER - at first, I threw my phone (S23 Ultra) on the magnetic stand charger that came with the watch, and it stopped charging in about 11 seconds. Changed cases. Same thing again. Phone charged happily on the bit with the "+" that exists for the earbuds.

I discovered that the S23 line (and S24 line too) won't charge on the intended magnetic phone thing UNLESS you turn off "Fast Wireless Charging" in the phone's settings.

So, the 3-in-1 charging stand is a Qi2 charger, but the S23 and S24 don't have it - they have some weird Samsung-only proprietary fast wireless charge protocol. Even though Qi1 is compatible, the fact they they're doing something else means they don't go beyond the 10-11 seconds.

Once you turn that off, phone charges happily - but slowly - wirelessly. It's fine for having it on your desk, and I kind of like it.

      Cool stand.

      • Thanks for the answer. Might give it a go.
Although I do have a couple of wireless stand chargers (one bedside & one on desk), it's the added bonus of watch charger that's tempting!

I was more asking if the 'magsafe' ring will work or not? And stick it to the phone or outside on the case? I'm just worried if the glue is not strong enough to be stuck on the case then the phone might fall off…?

      • So, the 3-in-1 charging stand is a Qi2 charger, but the S23 and S24 don't have it - they have some weird Samsung-only proprietary

Gosh I hate all these companies making same but proprietary tech!! Hello Capitalism!

        • +1

To be fair to Samsung, their Fast Wireless pre-dated Qi 2 by a few years.

I was more asking if the 'magsafe' ring will work or not? And stick it to the phone or outside on the case? I'm just worried if the glue is not strong enough to be stuck on the case then the phone might fall off…?

It should do, yes! However, it depends how thick your case is - if it's too thick, it won't charge. On the other hand, if your case is too tight, ring might not work on the inside because then your phone won't fit.

There's a good chance it'll work stuck to the outside of your case. It'll definitely work stuck to your phone without a case. Might as well spin that wheel for $10, after all - what's another $10 after you've spent ~$600 :) ?

  • Anyone got the EBD 😭

  • how's everyone getting such good prices? for the 8 classic, I've given up on the EBD - I don't think anyone's got any unused left - but with LIVEWATCH10, UNFOLD2025 and W8E trade in code, I can't get the price below 460 (I have used the app before, so no 5%).
And then there will be a dishonor fee on top of that…
better than RRP, but still a hard pill to swallow with some getting it for near $320.

    • My price is even worse, I can't apply LIVEWATCH10. :(

    • I gave up on the EBD too, if you're a Westpac customer use the Westpac rewards section to go to the Samsung EPP portal and it will be 30% off. You can't use LIVEWATCH10, but I got mine down to $445.85 with UNFOLD2025 and W8E.

I’ve just placed an order for the Watch 8 Classic 46 mm Bluetooth for $214.07 after trading in my old Watch 7 for $100. Pretty good deal for the Watch this time — I hadn’t planned to upgrade, but at that price, it’s hard to say no!

    • +1

Nice! That must be a record low. Do you mind listing which codes you used?

      • Voucher applied - Tablet & Wearable 25% off RRP - EB4 code found in the inbox.
        Voucher applied! $100 Trade-In Bonus;
150 checkout discount applied - W8T code email from Samsung. It's the UNFOLD2025+W8T code
        Voucher applied! $50 discount - UNFOLD2025
Voucher applied! Extra 10% off- LIVEWATCH10
Shop App Purchase - 5% off applied

@TofuTaicho: It's pretty much what's posted as he has $100 trade-in value (where Op is using $1 as a trade-in base)

  • I ordered the Galaxy Watch8 Classic with the Athleisure band and received two separate boxes: one for the watch and one for the band.

The watch box wasn’t sealed, just wrapped with a plastic band. Inside, under the watch, there was an empty space (presumably for a standard band) and two unused security adhesive stickers that looked like they were meant to seal the box.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    • +1

Yes, always when you order a non-default band, it comes like this.
My previous GW 7 and this time the GW 8 Classic as well.
The box face also looks plain…with the new squircle concept in black and white, instead of actual photo of the watch.

  • Good to know — thanks for confirming! I was upgrading from an old Galaxy Watch and didn’t realise that the new one would arrive unsealed, so it caught me off guard.

  • Anyone order an ultra on 24/July ? my order still stuck on "preparing order", just worried they will cancel the order.. deals too good

  • Anyone been charged by Asurion after 90 days of not returning your trade-in? The T&Cs actually state that they charge the "late return fee" only if you return your device between 14 and 90 days - and no charge is mentioned if you don't return it at all…

Asurion $30 non-return fee charged today. Trade in value was $1.

Also loving the 3 in 1 charger with my s25 ultra. Fast wireless charging only since I got it, battery health be damned.
