Bought two :(
Supporting the economy 🙏
What's the quality like?
Paid $19 for the 26pc set and still think it was worth.
Only used it 3-4 times so far.It look comically small. I guess it's good for ikea furniture?
Yeah it is, perfect for tight spaces. I kind of wish it was a bit smaller tbh
The size is a feature, not a bug. This fits where large ratchets don't, and is much faster and more ergonomic than Allen keys and the like.
Better to have it & not need it…
Like Bosch's
Poor. I had the 26 piece set, dropped the ratchet no more than 1m high and it stopped locking
Damn. Have you tried not dropping it?
I thought tools don't obey the laws of gravity
seems like lots of reviews about cheap ratchet sets breaking.
but how complicated can it be?
just treat it carefully it will be fine. also I think lots of people skip the plastic piece that's supposed to go under, where bad reviews say they couldnt pull metal off after using, and when they forced it off it broke. pretty sure the plastic piece is there to stop it from going so far that it gets stuck.
Mate they're tools, not an audermars watch. You use it in tight spots, loose fittings shit happens they fall.
@krisspy: sorry I shouldn't have used the word "carefully" my bad. maybe "just treat it is responsibly".
also
but how complicated can it be?
was referring to what's inside that ratchet that can break. I'm sorry such a terrible comment.
I also wouldn't expect a ratchet to break by dropping. isn't it basically one or two metal gears inside? pretty simple I would think and difficult to break.
I bought a cheap 1/4" socket/bit set from Amazon that has a rachet in it years ago. As soon as I started to turn the ratchet on something, it fell apart.
Meanwhile I've dropped my Gearwrench/Capri/Daytona ratchets countless times working on cars, I even hammer some of them to get things loose, none of those has broken yet.
Quality does matter alot.
EDIT: Daytona ratchets are definitely not very high quality cuz the back drag is terrible, but they are at least reliable and durable and stand up to abuse (and drop).
I have 2 of the 27 piece set - they are so handy I have a set upstairs and downstairs.
Had them for 3 years, no issues with quality.
Bought all three. Cheap quality bits are to hoard on.
I dont get it they sell 26 pcs and then 27 pcs set? Weird just adding one
yeah, had to open 2 tabs with the contents picture to compare side-by-side what is the 27th piece. It's the 7mm socket which I guess is fairly uncommon.
These are so soft you'd swear they were made of Coon cheese.
Cheer
s
Craftsman soft?
Is the warranty longer than 4 years?
Only on the bearing.
The 46 piece is 71% off, blows the 57% and the 37% off deals right out of the water.
different set of tools though
Can these be used with Ozito batter powered driver to screw things etc?
I'm really holding back on the comment regarding the double entendre contained within your question.
Another good deal if you’re looking for a whole package of drills and bits

Thanks for this. Bought then cancelled the 46 piece set. Bought this instead for an extra $10 and more what I wanted. Cheers
@generalpayne so this 91 set covers all exact of the 46 plus more?
I don't think all. Like the 46 set has imperial and metric sockets from what I see, but the 91 didn't. I like having some drill bits too since I need some at the moment, so for a bit more, it's better value for what I need.
$10 for 40 piece set.
https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-1-4-3-8-drive-socket-…better than buying 26 piece and finding out later you don't have the size in between.
What’s that blue plastic thing for?
my friend has the $10 set I linked above.
borrowed it one time to loosen a rusted bolt on a gate.
he instructed me to put the blue plastic thing on first, like upside down "bowl" orientation. then putting on the socket, or big>small adapter on top after.it's like 3mm thick and I think it works to create some wiggle room as well as makes it easier to pull the socket off when finished. but don't worry socket still stays on it won't fall off.
some negative reviews say the socket got stuck on, pretty sure because they thought "what the hell is that" and threw away the blue plastic piece.
understandable since it's not super clear and there aren't any instructions.from my impression the socket set (sorry this is the correct term, not ratchet set, because there are multiple sockets in the set) it was as quality as it needs to be. the pieces feel like heavy solid steel and once I found the correct socket size it fits tightly on the bolt. then just have to twist the plastic dial on the back before using, to change the direction (loosen or tighten). v easy to use.
just don't go banging on the back plastic dial with a hammer or anything and it will be fine. I thought that dial was probably the most likely to break first, but friend said they have seen plenty more expensive ratchets with plastic dial too.
I've got the $10 craftright set but lost the 10mm socket and the ratchet. Been using the sockets with a screw driver adaptor.
Bought the $15 Bosch 26 piece set as I'll already have all the extra sizes.
ah ok makes sense for you then.
I guess it pays off to disassemble everything and put back in their places in the case. because the case won't close unless you do and half open case would mean pieces flying everywhere. 😂 the Craftright wasn't my set so I carefully put everything back after using.
Can anyone recommend a good tool kit for general handy man stuff? I was looking for something that can accommodate bigger stuff through the household.
This set helped me mount a TV when my drill couldn’t handle it.
https://www.bunnings.com.au/trojan-40-piece-stubby-set_p6111…This when it's back in stock or a similar set from Bunnings (for more $$) and an ozito hammer drill will cover a LOT of jobs. It's all I had for the longest time.
I bought the 27 piece set some 4-5 years ago and the little ratchet broke a few months ago, there is one element in the gears that is made of hard plastic and that eventually broke.
2 days ago I bought the 26 piece set (the ratchet looks sturdier) for $25 as it was marked as Prime Deal only to see it now at $15. I will try to get credit from Amazon, but since is out of stock I doubt I'll get the $10 back.
edit: the 26 piece set is back in stock, I contacted Amazon Help and I got $10 credit to my account! Win!
Need it but sold out.
game over
Don't need it, don't need it, don't need it :/
