Boost Mobile Plans and Deals - July 2025

I am a Boost customer with my current plan expiring in a few weeks. Can I buy their new $300 12-month plan (for new subscribers only) and have the new SIM mobile number changed to my current Boost mobile number?

A few posts here are saying calling Boost customer service can do this, without having to change to another provider then port back to Boost. It is July 2025 - and wondering what work-around is possible right now to get the discounted 12 month deal for new subscribers?

Also, if porting out first then porting back in to Boost is required, what is the minimum time period to stay with the other provider in order for the porting back to Boost to become valid? Please enlighten me.

Also, if anyone knows a good Boost Mobile deal for 12 months available at the moment, pls send through the link/s. Thanks.

You'll have to post that in the competitions forum…

Well, your reply didn't answer any of my questions about Boost and seems to be pitching another provider which is owned by Woolies? I don't want Woolies to make any more big bucks than they currently do with price gouging groceries!

I left Boost and switched to Everyday mobile and the extra 10% off now pays for the phone bill…

      Different network though unfortunatly…

      • -3

        No, both Telstra

Also, I get to share data with other Everyday mobile customers…

Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network ≠ Full Telstra Mobile Network

          Which to me, matters.

            Which to me, matters.

I've found zero difference so far…

also, I can bank up to 500Gb of data and not lose it…

@jv: A camping place we go to reguarly has a single tower, which is a part of the full network not the wholesale (fulle reception on full network, zero on wholesale).

Coule other places I travel to also have similar issues. Trialed both networks as I as trying to save some $

              • @ricadam: I must go to different camping places then…

I did comparisons with Boost vs Everyday when i switched the first mobile and there was no difference in the city, suburbs or down the coast…

Anyway, my mobile plans are now free instead of >$200 with Boost…

          • @ricadam: yeah, my thoughts exactly. That's why Boost is superior. Do you know if Aldi's is also on the wholesale Telstra one?

        • +1

Not even remotely the same. Capped plans and 5G only on the top-tier plan.

Wholesale network only functions where there is presence from other operators, generally. Go to a town where Telstra are the only provider, there's no incentive for them to provide that wholesale = 0 bars = SOL.

            Not even remotely the same.

It is for me… I don't use nor need 5G… Just free service…

      • On the money. @jv is a sales agent for Every Day Mobile owned by Woolies!!! He should create another forum and post there promoting Everyday Mobile. :)

    • Off topic and did not answer my questions at all :)

        and ?

        The comment prompt clearly says…

        "Share your thoughts!"

        So I did…

    • How much does Everyday mobile cost you?

      • $170 for 125Gb &
        $220 for 200Gb

    • This deal isn't available for LT Mobile Plans now.

      • It sure is. I have my whole family on it.

        • I mean for new customers. My whole family is also on theae 10% off plans but it isn't available for new customers now.

          • @OZBsince2018:

            I mean for new customers.

            That's not what you said though… 😁

    • Interesting. So your 12 month SIM is even cheaper. How will I be sure it will work, when this was from an expired promo that ended 7/7/25?

You can order from boost and get $80 Cashback at topcashback.

If you aren’t a member you can get referral here

Go to bottom of post and click the referral link. This gives you a further bonus.

As for switching from one account to another, some have had success some haven’t. The sure way is to switch out to another provider and then back

        • thanks for sharing that. i will have to investigate then. do you know how long i have to wait once i have activated a SIM from another provider to port back in to Boost with the new 12 month SIM?

@dazzdion: I don’t know the exact timing. Read somewhere so have issues doing it the same day. If you buy a Cheap On sale sim like Vodafone $10 From Woolies/coles you can keep for a few days to be safe. I am doing that now but as a long term ozbargainer I will keep for the 28 days. But I am not daily dependent on the phone or moving around. I do suggest not getting a Telstra network based sim Eg Woolworths
Aldi as they use the Same backend , so the system might flag something that upsets the transfers. Again only being cautious based on a few posts made by others here in the past.

            • @RockyRaccoon: Ok yeah that makes sense. I will have to probably choose an Optus powered cheap SIM that doesn't need a recharge.

              • @dazzdion: also if you order the boost sim with cashback, it takes a few days to arrive. Plus you have some calls and data to tide you over. The dats is valid for the month, so you can still use it all in a couple of days.

    • thanks, that link answers most of my questions. So it looks like I really need to port out of Boost to be able to get back with the 12 month SIM offer for new subs. :) I think getting the $2 Telstra SIM is the way, as no recharge is required. Do I have to wait for 1 day to port back in to Boost with the new SIM?

      • You can port back on the same day.

great, my plan should work then. thanks.

  • I was able to get the 300GB for $300 on a 12 month renewal (previously on a 12 month plan). Boost chat created a reference for me then I bought a $2 SIM from the local supermarket. Back on the chat, quoted the reference and then they transferred my existing number to the new SIM. Popped SIM into phone and then went to the renewal option and it effectively saw me as a new customer and automatically offered the 300GB for $300. Pretty smooth process. Initially, the customer rep suggested porting out and in and I just responded with 'why waste everyone's time doing that' at which point he conceded and got me reference number to call back once I had the SIM.
