Damn already used nab10 card10 and payto one each….

  • +21

Don’t need. Have a portable monitor already. Purchased!

    • +4

thank you for giving me the courage to do the same! +1

    • Hahaha I had one but sadly broke it, been thinking of getting another, saw the 2K 500 not matte version on here, and thought "that's a lot more than I wanted to spend, but shit that's cheap", and taking inspiration from your post too, bit the bullet and ordered one :)

  • -2

    Doesn't work for me

    • +1

      Apply thrn$80 coupon

      • how?
Its not there for me to tick

        • +2

          You do have Prime right…

        • +2

I had to go to desktop mode to see it… Didn't show on mobile.

Update: might be finished on at least the 59 model now.

  • Dayum that's cheap, especially for the 144hz one.

  • Crazy price for the 2.5k monitor, my coupon was $90 off

    • Yes. $80 is for the ones in the title. The other ones are $90 or $100 coupons.

      • for me its showing as $159 with the $80 off, what am I doing wrong? has the deal ended

  • +1

Thought for a second how sick that is then realise I already use my tablet as a second monitor when I travel…but still want.

    • i use to use my tablet as a second monitor BUT was a bit laggy and the fact that samsung hid the option post update really pee me off.

      i picked up a 15.6" @ 144hz and never looked back.

      • +1

I bought the SuperDisplay app after the free trial ages ago, did what I needed. Usually multi monitor work, not gaming or anything. Usually travel with my tablet, laptop and a Switch…my carry-on is already overs. 😆

    • Me too! I use my tablet at home too but I haven't pulled it out in a while. I use the Duet app on iPadOS. I bought it for ~$10 like 7-8 years ago and it's gradually gotten better over time. Last time I used it I was able to run the iPad at full screen resolution at 120Hz all through USB. Total monitor replacement.

  • +3

Ordered the basic FHD Model, great find!

    • +1

Yep that’s all I needed. Don’t have anything to plug in to worry about 144Hz.

      • Had been looking for one just to be able to work a bit more productively from anywhere and this covers it perfectly for dirt cheap

  • Which is one is the pick of the bunch?

    • +1

Depends on your requirements. For me I wanted it as a server screen and to play hand held games on my kids emulator, so the 1080p base model was fine (if the speaker model were cheaper I probably would have got that though)

      • Even the $59 one has speakers.

        • Hmm this listing doesn't say anything about that… But one of the reviews does… Not a deal breaker, but will be good if it did!

          • +1

@wisc: Buried somewhere in the description I saw.

  • I guess I'm doing something wrong :( I add the coupon, it says coupon selected, proceed to checkout, and it shows the full price :( I have prime

  • -1

Hmmmmmm why doesn't $80 off work for me?

  • -1

Weird. Every other discount works but not the $80 one.

  • Both of the 16” 144Hz monitors claim to be the same model…

Edit: one comes with a sleeve?

    • The expensive one is matte finish.

      • I see that, but often find the Amazon description to be wrong, and there’s no mention of glossy or matte on the product website…

      • +1

From the product website, both appear to be anti-glare/matte

        • Bummer. I prefer glossy.

  • Looks like the 59.99 one doesn't want to add the coupon

    • That's what I'm seeing too.

      • Worked for me when I went into desktop mode

        • It doesn't even show a coupon for it anymore. On mobile and desktop

  • Thanks, got one to see if I can work outside in the patio. Laptop screen is too small by itself. Also may try it with my gaming PC. Not expecting too much, but for $80 it's worth the risk.

  • +1

Somehow the 5% payto discount applied even though i paid with all gift card.. ended up 71.99 for the ARZOPA 16.1'' 144Hz Portable Gaming Monitor.

    • Same… not complaining though :)

  • Trying to work out besides the colour, what the difference is between the two 144hz ones.

    • Color is the only difference

    • They both seem to be the same model, the Z1FC and both have the same image showing 106% sRGB. The more expensive one seems to come with a case. Looking at arzopa’s website they don’t advertise two different 16” 144Hz products

This was wrong, the difference is the “Z1FC Gray” and Z1FC

      • +3

The main difference is the Z1FC Gray one comes with 2 x USB-C to USB-C cables and a HDMI to Mini-HDMI cable, and a case.

Wish I'd know that before I ordered the non-Gray one. It's not stated in the Amazon title or description. You can only find this information by looking through all the product images or checking the Arzopa website.

Other differences are Z1FC has slightly higher contrast ratio (1300:1 vs 1000:1), and the Z1FC Gray has 106% sRGB vs 100% sRGB, although I'm not sure either of these differences would be noticeable.

        • I felt paying mote for the non grey.. thanks for the explanation. Good buy

  • +2

Just got the 2k one, such a great price!

    Thanks OP

  • These look great and pricing is incredible. Do I really need one if I already have a MBA and hardly ever connect it to an external screen ? I don't play games etc.

    • +10

You are on OZB so yes.

    • +2

Tje moment you close OZB browser, you don’t.

  • +4

Do these need external battery if running off HDMI?

    • +3

Yes. Need power via usb c.

  • +1

Could anyone tell me whether I am better off going for the 16.1 2k resolution with 500 nits and only 60hz or the 17.3 presumable FHD with what I would assume is 300 nits and also 60hz, please?

I currently have the 16.1 2k with 144hz and love it but the screen could be brighter. At 16.1 inches I probably don't need the 2k screen but the 500 nits seems super handy. I guess I am concerned if I get the 16.1 inch screen with only 60hz will it be too slow for my needs, however I am not intending to play games on the screen.

For context, I am a full time uni student and will be using it to read papers, use microsoft, emails etc.

    Thank you in advance!

    • +2

60hz should be fine for those tasks tbh

  • Sale finished?

    cant find the $59.99 one…

    • Coupon is finished for the $59.99 model. Other 4 models still available.

  • +3

I hate to say that I bought without needing one.

  • Any thoughts why I can't apply NAB10 or CARD10 for the 2k one? Getting promo code cannot be applied to your purchase

    • Have you used the codes before?

      • I added it on checkout then cleared the cart and added item again. Looked like that could be the reason

  • What is the difference between $199 one and $159 one (without discount i mean)

  • +2

Insane, guess Amazon prime is alright

  • +1

Do these chew alot of power?
Thinking of getting one for when I work from the car during school pick-ups and kids activities.

    • I power mine (144hz 16.1") through a USB 3.0 port on my PC so no not really.

  • +1

just an FYI, none of these have VESA mounting

    • Do any portable monitors have VESA mounting? I feel that would weigh too much.

      • Not on my ZSUS, but my SFZ 14" touch has it.

It's not essential for these portable monitors but handy

      • These are light enough. Just pop a metal ring on the back and use a iPhone dock/arm/stand

      • The 13.3" one I have does. The leather case/stand it came with attaches via the Vesa, they're just threaded holes

      • 3m velcro?

  • Which one has built in speakers?

    • All of them.

  • What are people use this for? I juat got a new born, can i use this as a monitor for my new born ? By plugging this to a S20? Is that how it work? Can someone advise please?

    • I was thinking about using it to stream my security cameras via Synology DS Cam. I also have to think of what i'm going to plug into it to provide the stream. Micro PC might be a bit big. Maybe a USB PC?

    • yes, either with DEX or mirrored with the monitor app.

      • Thank you. I have heard about Dex and never use it before. But this is a very good feature of my spare ( S20+) and main phone (s24U) that i have not try before. Will give this a go. End up missing out on the 2 budget model as i was deciding so i ended up ordering the 2.5k monitor for $110.
Thanks Op for the good deal

    • +4

What are people use this for?

      Dopamine hit from buying.

(Legit use cases too. 2 screens when traveling is useful)

      • It's sad that this comment is so far buried in the thread

    • +1

Used it with a laptop for work.

Now I just attached a spare chromecast and now it's a glorified digital frame

      • This will be my future use case as well. Thanks for letting me know

  • +1

Bought the 2.5k monitor for $199 last week…. so i bought another one.

    • +1

That's how we ozb users save the day!

    • I guess you liked it, which is great!
Did you connect to Mac or Windows laptop?
I'm interested how it works with MacOS, ie how the fonts look etc

      • I dont know yet…
I ordered on Friday, due to be delivered today Monday.
I placed the order for the 2nd this morning, and is due for delivery today Monday as well.
I am intending to connect to a laptop running windows

      • +1

I use two portable monitors with my mac setup and they work fine, you can run them at native or HiDPI modes

        Currently, I do:

        • ZSUS 14" 2160x1440 - 1080x720 HiDPI mode
        • SFZ 14" Touch 1920x1200 - 1024x640 HiDPI mode

Native works well, but I'm using these as supplementary displays which is why I have them in HiDPI mode

  • Awesome grabbed the 2.5K thanks heaps

  • +3

I want to get this because it is such a good deal, but I just do not have a use-case! Someone take my OzB card away…

    • -1

May be sell it on market place and buy a coffee from the profit. ☕💰😊

  • I'm sure I will find a use case later…

  • didn't need, have spare monitors around but bought..

    • Same. Have 2 other portable monitors i rarely use 🤣

    • omg same. using it for a live monitor for studio photoshoots

  • Coupon gone for the FHD one

  • Not seeing the coupon. Finished?

    • +1

Coupon is finished for the $59.99 model. Other 4 models still available.

  • Which one is best suited as a second screen to the laptop for home office? Best suited and cheaper one.
