Been playing for last two weeks. Quite fun & time consuming. Need to save manual every now and then in case I am stuck with some boss.
Seems Ubisoft threw in the towel finally, after over inflating their initial sales figures and player numbers.
6.2 user score on metacritic, for context.
Idk, I see at least one review saying it's woke and one saying it's wrong to have a female protagonist. That's enough for me to question user scores.
I think having around 4,000 user reviews gives enough headroom to average out the general feel for the game. Generally I find that to be true.
I take your point, but I also find review-bombing from certain communities in response to socially progressive movements is a relatively consistent phenomenon.
@mish.kebab: Yeah… a quick google tells me that ac shadows has sold 2.4 million copies across all platforms. So 4,000 user reviews seems like quite a small figure.
For what it's worth I love it, and it's sitting at Mostly Positive from ~22,000 reviews on Steam too… but again, small figures and not the way I'd judge whether or not a game is for me.
I've been playing this for a few weeks, I've been enjoying it. Haven't really enjoyed an assassin's creed games since the first two, if that gives any context. I'll probably give ghost of tsushima a go next, Japan has such amazing scenery

Got EB to price match it last week. It’s decent, but a little uninspired. Really it just makes me wanna play Ghost of Yōtei even more, so I think I’ll return this one for now.

Has all the ingredients of a decent AC game with room for dlc.The game finally arrived. However, unfortunately, Microsoft seems to be having some issues with their server… Hope this is resolved soon so i can finish my download…
