Let's see. Will install over the weekend.
Just wanted an email and agreeing to receive promotional emails.

You can unclick the promo email box, and still receive the code.

When there is no cost, you are the product…

I'm always cautious about these freebies.

    • +2

There's a lot of encouragement to by the new version.

    • +1

Its free because all these AI tools business plans are to sell the newer models.

      This uses last gen models.

Its akin to a game company giving away a classic to build hype for the new launch.

Free = no updates and in time they will force you to update to a new version that is time limited, they did this between their old non-AI version to the new AI version…

I feel for the people that paid for a "lifetime" licence of Videoproc (non-AI), then they discontinued that and changed to the AI version, and left the paying customers hanging, they had to pay again for the 'AI' version even thought hey had a lifetime licence…

(in the past I used this a lot for basic editing, these days I just use the freeware app 'LosslessCut', much better for what I do… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LosslessCut )

        • LosslessCut is great.

Also using Aviator for AV1 conversion afterward (fast conversions that look good via Windows Subsystem for Linux)

          • Ozbargain is the only few site that I turn Brave's shield down for. Littlely surf naked here

        Naive 😁

  • Must install and register the software with the free activation code by the 30th of July 2025.

Lots of limitations, probably not worth it.

    • That's a link to the v8 page. What's that got to do with limitations?

  • Installed and worked. I don't know what to do with it now but maybe one day. Thanks op

OP, it's rather confusing. Download page says V8 but the license says V7.5.
    I already have V7.5.
Is there any difference between VideoProc Converter AI V7.5 and V8?

    • Don't bother. It's still V7.5

    • The V8 is on sale while V7.5 is for free.

      • Misleading title then. Please correct the version in the title

        • It initially displayed 7.5, was then changed to 8, possibly due to the page mentioning v8, and shortly thereafter reverted to 7.5.

Download a CAM version of the new Superman movie, run it through this, voila! Bluray rip.

Superman? Would be a better experience in potato resolution.
In fact, would be a better experience if the recording was made with the lense cap on like the old days.

  • That marketing banner is hilarious. Classic Anime… image is Mickey Mouse/Steamboat Willie

  • Sounds alright, but won’t beat realesgran
