  • The drill is a grey version of the DCD805, which is a great little unit.

  • +3

IMO, it looks better than the standard DeWALT model.

    • It does look good but it doesn't mix and match well. Aesthetics wise

  • +2

Any good deals for drill bits that would go well with this?

    • +1

I'm using Bosch and Dewalt drill bits from bunnings
Probably get 35 to 40 bits.

  • love it! - just ordered, thanks OP!!

    • Congratulations and enjoy getting drilled!

  • +1

That is a stupidly good deal.

I use the DCD805 with a 18V 1.7Ah powerstack kit which is great when weight and tight spots is an issue but these two batteries can be used for anything and the price is so good.

    • +1

It's not easy to find a 1.7Ah powerstack these days. All deals are coming with the original 5Ah, which feels heavier than the compact impact driver skin.

  • Nice deal. Shame they don't include the Impact Driver skin as well.

  • +2

Doh… I bought the skin from bunnings for $99, but then had to spend $20 on a second hand charger and $80 for a new in box second hand battery. Waiting a couple of weeks would have seen me with a second battery. Oh well, a little bit of FOMO and a little bit of the fact my ryobi died the day before.

Website sometimes take a while to update. This actually sounds like fairly good customer service that they called you immediately!

  • Thanks OP, got one. Very limited stock though…seems like out of stock now in all of WA.

  • +1

    I want yellow!

  • +2

Called Sydney Tools a bit over a week to price match Bunnings at $199 (which still has it in stock at this price in some regional NSW locations). The guy on the phone was real pissy about it and now look at it, at the same price. F U Taren Point Sydneytools

    • I think SydneyTools had it at $199 in June too - same time as Bunnings. But after 1-2 weeks they ended that promotion while Bunnings kept the price at $199.

      OOS everywhere.

  • +1

Placed order and got a call by Sydney Tools saying this is oos nation wide.

  • Link is just showing 404 now, seems like they were inundated!

  • Anyone have this for $49

I am planning to wait for the next Ozito offer
Ozito PXC 18V Brushless Compact Drill Driver Kit $49.98 C&C/Delivered @ Bunning
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/880041

    • +2

Forget XU1. Ozito has a better ecosystem, so you can use your existing batteries with new Ozito tools in the future.

Also don't wait for that Ozito deal. Just buy the $99 Ozito Drill + Impact Driver kit which is better value.

  • Is this drill from ‘the Lando Norris era’?

  • +5

I love how now people just downvote for a whinge. This generation coming up haiya confused about gender and offended by everything

  • +2

Placed an order and almost immediately got a call from someone at Sydney Tools saying it's out of stock nationwide. They also tried to upsell me a worse drill for $50 extra. Cancelled order for a refund.

  • So many drilling "deals" hammer drills, impact drills, drill bits and pieces, and drill cases and drill polishing cloths 😂 ozbargainers just love a good drilling
