Looks like Aliexpress have the bags for this now too, $10 for 6pk.

I think i'll give this a shot; only expecting Lubluelu level quality/experience

    • +1

Thanks for the confidence. planning to give it a go as well as the first robo vac.
Can you please share the link to the bags on aliexpress?

    • I just got a refund on my Lubluelu, not sure I want that experience again

      • What happened to your lubluelu?

        • Kept randomly wanting to go back to base around 80% charge, would randomly get lost, hated black carpet mats, would go in no go zone areas, regularly not able to reverse into the base even after a few minutes of trying, once or twice starting cleaning for no reason at all, just lots of random stuff but that first issue was the main reason I returned it

          • @Shakow: OK, none of these happened to me

            • @superforever: Was actually pretty happy with it for the first 6 months and then the last 3 it just started to be erratic to a point of useless last week

              • @Shakow: If from Amazon, chat with the seller, maybe they will send you a new set, if not, chat with agent they will refund you.

    Any review from Ozb ?

Not this model and have a D9 Max that we got for about $300 a few years ago. I'd rate it. Vaccums well and we have a dog that sheds a shed lot.

Doesn't do the edges of walls really well but will give the house a good 95% clean. Mine didn't have the emptying station.

The maps work well. They got buggered once and had to redo them. But since that time, they've been flawless.

In summary, for the price, dreame make a very decent product.

Havent used mop function. And I also pick up all the chairs etc to give it better space to do its thing.

      • Thanks

Great price if you're looking to get into robovacs

    • +9

      I don’t think I’d fit into this.

      • +1

A standard sized toad will fit, not comfortably but it will.

      • +1

        I don’t think I’d fit into this.

You won't go back after you tried it.

      • must be well endowed

  • Was going to pick up a Tapo RV30 max this afternoon for $399 (less with 10% gift cards etc.) any reason to go with the E20 plus instead?

    • +6

      Cheaper

  • I have mixed thick carpet and tile, can it stop moping when it detects carpet but continue vacuum automatically ?

    • Mine is a yeedi, it won't go over the carpet if it's in mop and vac mode. Just alternate cleaning schedules and accept not mopping every day

      • Thanks

        • +1

I think you can set 2 different plans for mop and vacuum separately. For me, I don't want the same robot to go through dirty kitchen/toilet and back on the carpet.

    • Or setup two identical maps and in one, just block off the carpet areas for peace of mind.

      • Thanks

    • Not sure these have emotions built in yet.

  • Anyone know what the "Get 1 item free" highlighted in green, just under the price means?

In the description "Bonus MOVA E20 / E20Plus Replacement Mop Pads(amazon.com.au) available."

    • +1

Looks like you can get replacement mop heads for free. I tried just adding and it gave an equivalent discount

    • +2

For future ref, click How to claim, then on the left change view to Benefit items.

      • Thanks, useful tip

        • horrible way to add a free item

  • Can two E20 robot vacuums share the same auto-empty base station?

    • They're not usually linked in any way. If it knows where it is, it will return to it once finished cleaning.

  • +1

Wondering how is it compare with popular Lubluelu

    • +2

Not sure but I do like that the Lubluelu runs on standard Smartlife app that I already have installed for other things, no need to install yet another app.

I think my SL60D works really well for the money, wasn't this cheap though.

      • wasn't this cheap though.

They did, but you have to look harder to find the bargain.

        • Not counting the time it was $100 or relying on big Temu cashbacks of course..

Wasn't a huge amount more anyway, $40 or $50 (with empty station I mean). Nothing to cause buyers regret :)

  • Can this clean my car?

  • Will it be easy return like Dyson if we find it is not as we expect ?

    • it's amazon, everything is easy return, as long as you don't do it too many times

  • Niche question, anyone use these one two storey homes?

In my head I'm happy with the effort of manually rotating between upstairs and downstairs once a week, so week on/week off cleaning.
What I'm unsure if is if it's as simple as carrying the housing unit upstairs, or does the map system need to be reprogrammed each time?

    • +1

Save up to 3 floor maps

    • +1

If it’s like D9 max which is likely for the maps - you can save 3 maps. When you go from one floor to another, you will need to manually switch the map from the app and then it will do its things.

      • That would be a troublesome that we need to reset all the time, especially if we add or remove thinga from last scan.

        • Not sure how this works, but with Lebluelu, maps for different floors are saved in a list so you just select the map based on the floor. There is no "resetting". Re moving things around, the vac seems smart enough to work around that.

        • That would be a troublesome that we need to reset all the time,

You ain't resetting anything - you are just selecting different map when you move between floors. I didn't mind this as I thought this is the only way until I got Roborock which auto select maps based on which floor it is but its unfair to compare <$200 Dreame with >$1k Roborock

  • +3

    Got one, thanks!
    saw this video
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP6kNicXBrc
it did a good job there despite all the obstacles

  • +1

How does it compare to Roborock Q8 Max+ from prime day? Half the price but can still do 90% of the same work?

  • +1

Is it worth getting the auto empty station for this?

    • +3

For $100 more, I also not sure

  • Too bad there isn't an Amazon cashback promo to pair with this…

  • Does the mop somehow auto empties too? Like the dirty water.

    • +1

      Not at this price point.

      • Thanks give me a reason to save some money. The mop will be mopping dirty water again and again . That is just wrong.

        • +1

how does the water get dirty? all i thought it does is damped the rag stuck underneath and just drags it on the floor until the water runs out then i assume the dock fills the water up again? what am i missing :)

          • @scud70: at this price you're manually filling the water too.

I think if you're chasing a sub $500 vac for mopping you're never going to find it. Just aim for Vac.

        • The mop will be mopping dirty water again and again .

Depends on how dirty your floor, just for general daily cleaning, not sauce spill on floor.

  • This or the Ecovacs?

Had an Ecovacs Ozmo 920 which ran fine for approx 3 years with regular cleaning/maintenance. Was a good everyday vac and we were happy with the Vac until it worked.
2 months back it suddenly stopped charging, researched online and found many people facing similar issue with old Ecovacs and no solution(also claimed by some as planned obsolescence by Ecovac) which left me annoyed with the brand.

Got a Lubluelu(being significantly cheaper) but found cleaning inferior and returned.

Long story short, need a Robo vac to do daily vacuuming around house, Lubluelu experience wasn't good and irked with the Ecovacs brand but the experience was good until it lasted.
Should I give another brand a try or just get another Ecovacs in under $400 budget?

Would also love to hear if anyone else faced a similar issue and found any solution?

    • Got a Lubluelu(being significantly cheaper) but found cleaning inferior and returned

I have no problem with just vacuum.

  • Can it handle different floor height transitions (around 1cm)?

    • +1

      height transitions (around 1cm)?

Hard to tell, my lubluelu can climb like 1cm or a bit more from hard floor to hard floor but couldn't upstairs from carpet to bathroom tiles

      • Thanks :)

    • +1

1cm isn't a lot so should be ok, most new home build now a days come with this "feature" anyway /s

      • Cheers ;) Can probably program it so it only has to go down a single transition and then up a single transition, which I could "pack out" with a small piece of quarter round or trim to reduce the height.

  • Can we add floor detergent stuff in lieu of water ?

    • some chemicals may be. but could go wrong really fast so i'd say just warm water

      • What can go wrong ?

        • many things could go wrong; check other forums for user-reported issues. discoloration of water tank was something I did not see coming.

  • I guess with the non plus one, you don't need to buy bags ?

  • +1

    No more bonus pad

  • How would this compare with the original Xiaomi V1 robot vac (OzB favourite from back in 2019)? Equivalent or better?

That thing has been an absolute champ for me, amazing purchase, but the battery is on its last legs.

    • +1

This thing looks like it breaks down within the 12 months warranty

    • but the battery is on its last legs.

      Is it replaceable?

      • Yeah, and I'm definitely keen to keep it operational. The tricky part is sourcing something that seems reputable (ie. not just a grey imported 'highest quality cells' battery from Temu that will burn my house down when it's sat in it's dock charging 24/7). There are a few on the Woolworths/Bunnings/Kogan marketplaces but I really don't know if that's much of an endorsement as they all look the same..?

    • Even if it breaks down within 12 months,at this price it's no brainer. Within 30 mins my house is sparkling without lifting a leg.

  • +1

Ordered it yesterday and delivered today.playing with it right now at 2am.
Absolutely banger of a deal. It feels like a new world to me seriously.

    • I wish i had ordered two for my family.
