    Apologies if I missed anyone.

    Any second now…

He's taken jv's role since jv has been slacking off.

        • +2

          Where's the $12 coupon?

          • -5

@RTX9090Ti: Standard min spend discount coupons. Search. You need to check if it's applicable.

            • +1

@marshmall0w2: none of the code works but its under $200 now. but not $170, let alone $150. you probably referring to USD again which is $135.

        • +8

A$204ish was the best price posted. We're all eagerly awaiting your amazing affiliate deals.

          • -2

@Clear: For one, I'm not an affiliate. Two, even this deal is close to my price target without the supersized 20-35% cashback with $60 cap and coupons? So your point?

            • +1

@marshmall0w2: there are no coupons now, and no 35% cashback. its way far off from $150.

              • +1

@RTX9090Ti: You're wasting your time. She'll never post a deal.

                  @Clear: Imaginary deals on AUD $150 7700 and $250 7800X3D from MarshmallowExpress

                  • +1

                    @RTX9090Ti: While it's not A$250 this deal is US$261.95!

                    • @Clear: is it worth getting 7800x3d over 7700 for 1440p gaming?

                      • @RTX9090Ti: X3D for sure. The large amount of cache makes a difference in gaming and easily one of the best CPUs for gaming that doesn't cost a fortune.

                        • @Clear: still got my 7600x from recent amazon deal, wonder if I should return that and get this 7700, saves $50 instead.

                          • +1

@RTX9090Ti: Minimal difference between. 7600X and 7700. The difference between either and the 7800X3D is night and day. Even the 9700X3D is bad value compared to 7800X3D.

                        • +1

@Clear: It mostly depends on your desired resolution and video card:

@RTX9090Ti: I dunno why you keep misquoting me and giving the worst takes on what I've said.

7700 - my claim is $150 (now it's $182 without the coupon and super sized cashback), a commenter below said they bought it for $260.

7800X3D - my claim is $300, not $250. Clear just posted a deal for $404. With cashback cap, it's $374. With supersized cashback and coupon, it's down to $340. With the lower base price of $365. It's actually $300.

              • @RTX9090Ti: I don't see where I said it is? I literally said

Two, even this deal is close to my price target without the supersized 20-35% cashback with $60 cap and coupons? So your point?

                And

@RTX9090Ti: Did you factor cashback? With, cashback it's $182.

jv needs to assert his dominance.

  • Thanks for the deal! Been waiting for another to show up.

Bought one! Now just have to pick which motherboard to buy… I have all the other parts for my upgrade chosen.

    • +2

      B850 tomahawk, can't go wrong.

      • That one does seem pretty good, albeit expensive.

Although from a quick google it does seems to have some ethernet issues. So I'll put it on the maybe list.

        • +1

value pick MSI B650M BOMBER WIFI Micro ATX AM5 for $159

          • @Maddsyz27: Would the GigabyteB560M a better choice for 139$ or so on Amazon?

            • @HandsomeMonkey: I wouldn't trust amazon personally, with their relaxed return policy, you could easily not get what you paid for. $159 is pretty cheap as is for am5 motherboard

              edit. YMMV

          • @Maddsyz27: Thanks for the suggestion!

        • -1

Gigabyte B650M 5 VRM and cheaper on a deal

          • @marshmall0w2: Thanks for the suggestion! I'll be having a look around the next few days to figure something out.

I'll probably look at ones a bit above that since I was hoping for 3 M.2 slots

            • @HolyFosh: Hmm the cheapest ones with 3 M.2 is like 2x the price I think

              • @marshmall0w2: Yeah sadly. I'm willing to pay about 300~ anything higher and I'll learn to deal with 2 ahah

                • @HolyFosh: But why are the m.2 slots so important to you?

                  • @marshmall0w2: I've got one already (1TB) and am buying a new 2TB one for a boot drive.

I'll have had my current PC for 8 years so I expect to keep a new MB for a fair amount of time and given its a pretty annoying part to swap I want the capacity for extra storage later.

So I'd rather pay an extra 100 or so now if it'll make things easier later

                    • @HolyFosh: Why not just save your money and use the unused PCIe lanes or just plain SATA?

                      • @marshmall0w2: I also have a couple of hard drives as well I've added over the years I was going to consolidate into a new 8TB+ HDD.

As said above I can deal with 2, but if I can get an extra + other advantages by jumping to 300~ it would be ideal

                      • +1

@Maddsyz27: Yeah something like that is more what I'm looking for. I've got a mid tower case, so I might as well use it Thanks!

                        • @HolyFosh: After some searching I think I'm probably going to go with the ASUS TUF Gaming B850M-PLUS WiFi for 344.

Only real flaw seems to be it won't fit huge GPUs but I don't anticipate that being an issue for my needs.

Also comes with 20 USD in steam credit which makes it pretty much 315.

Would have preferred the MSI B850M Mortar, but its not available at a good price right now (409 is the best in Australia), and at that price I'd just go for the B850 tomahawk as recced above.

      • Just ordered this yesterday, after a lot of research so pleased to see someone else recommend.

      • Tossing between this and the B650 full ATX

Anyone purchased from them? Genuine CPU?

    • +1

Plenty of sales from the previous deals. All legit.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/aliexpress.com/1104193023

      • +1

except maybe 90 days warranty instead of 3 years from local sellers.

    • Yes, been running it for a couple of months. Delivery was quick for me I think around 10 days. Just need to buy a seperate heatsink.

    • Its real bought mine in may and paired it with a thermalright frozen notte 360 and runs under 50c under full load awesome CPU for the money

  • +2

Is it worth potentially throwing away $170 if it ends up being faulty and/or not as described?

    • 90 days return

    • +2

The odds of getting a faulty CPU these days are extremely low (although AM5 onboard GPUs have had questions). They're incredibly reliable parts.

I have bought half a dozen cheap AMD CPUs off AE, no issues yet. All these resellers are doing is buying OEM ones with volume discounts and reselling them, nothing more. If you wonder why techfast etc have cheap PCs with a 7700 and a $25 cooler in them, this is why, they do the same thing.

    • I got two 7700's form this seller.. working 100% stable for the past 3 months no issues they are also NEW B2 stepping on the Zen4 CPU dies so they sip power and have great single core clocks

  • Just under $220 if you can not do USD thing and want to buy.
    Good find.

    • Strange, shows AUD 224.32 for me, includes GST of $28.86

      • was $219.83 when I looked. Still a good deal.

        • Thanks.
I was clicking through my Wish List, where it was showing $195 for the CPU.
Deleted the Wish List and clicked through the link in OP, it went down to $191.25 for the CPU, and $219.83 inc GST

  • Bought this CPU from here 2 months ago it arrived ok in 18 days. Not sure if it works yet because I haven't got around to building a system yet .

  • im seeing $314.59 aud does a code need to be used

    • checked back and got it for 219.83aud

    • -4

Believe it or not, but I got negged for telling people it can go this cheap. Hence why I do what I do and let people know in the comments. Like, I don't see actual buyers negging my comments. Only affiliate marketers.

      • +4

We'll believe you when the deals are posted.

        • -2

Zzzzzzzzz….. I'm literally backing you on this deal already and you don't seem to get it.

I swear to god, there's a reading mis-comprehension pandemic on OzB.

  • Can I combine with vouchers?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/913565

    • Sadly not. This is a Big Save limited deal and coupon stacking won't work.

  • +1

I get $219 with GST at checkout am I doing something wrong?

    • +1

Is your currency set to AUD or USD? I have exchange rates explained in the deal.

      • +1

Nevermind smh it's set to AUD. Thanks for the reminder, and the deal!

  • I'm getting AUD $224. This includes GST of AUD $28.86
Have to pay in AUD as dont have a fee free card and paypal would be even more than AUD $224

Edit: Even these coupon codes not working for me: AUAF16 AUAG16

Sorry, this coupon code is not valid on one or several items on this order. Please try another one, or remove the items.

    • +1

Got it for $219 paying with PayPal

      • Is your currency set to AUD on Aliexpress?
What price is showing for CPU ? Mine is $195.46, in Sydney

        sorted

  • $214.21 with HSBC Everyday Global Visa Debit

    • $210.65 with Up for me

  • Expired or ran out of special price ?
Showing $285.99 AUD for me (US $177.47)

  • Finally, my upgrade journey has started
    Thanks OP

    • Do you know if this is a legit seller?

      • Yup same seller as OP's link.

2,000+ sold with 4.9 rating from 300+ reviews is a good sign

  • Is this expired? The link takes me to $288 USD and AUAG50 gives "This coupon code can't be used in combination with other discounts"

  • @Clear OP deal from your link has expired, this one's the new listing which seems 7 bucks more than earlier

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007812804433.html

  • Not shipped yet. Anyone else also waiting?

    • Literally just came here to ask the same

Still not shipped as of this morning…a bit sub par

  • Still not shipped…will it automatically cancel the order? I dont want it to…but kinda want them to ship my cpu. The store doesnt respond to messages

    • @Clear - Sorry to bother you but do you have any input or insight? Is this normal for this seller?

      • If it were Choice it needs to be shipped within 24-48 hours or it gets cancelled. I believe for non-Choice they allow more time, possibly a week (the order details should say). If it's not sent within the timeframe it'll auto cancel.

        So I'd just wait.

        • Booo I hope it gets shipped, its such a good price and I've already bought a new MB/RAM etc lol. Ah well! Cheers mate

        • I have a choice item ordered on 1 August (not the CPU) not shipped and that states the order will ship in 6 days

  • Another order (made 1 August) not shipped here. The order page says Order will ship in 7 days. If shipping is delayed an automatic refund will be issued and the estimated delivery date is 14 August. Annoying as I have an entire build made except for the CPU…

    • +1

They probably mean business days too

  • You know you can extend the shipping date, in order to give the seller more time to send package.
I've extended it by another 7 days.

  • Here's a message I got back from them.

"We will ship your order this week. Currently, this CPU is in short supply worldwide, so shipping may take a little longer than usual."

    • Thanks for messaging them, it was on my to do list for today. Sounds like they took sales for stock they didn't necessarily have.

    • Did they message you on their own, or you asked for a status update ?
