15% off Eligible Japanese and Korean Items (Max Discount $1000, 5 Uses Per Account) @ eBay

640
JPKR15

Was shopping around for some Banzuke posters and had this 15% off code come up and see it had not been posted yet. Low on details, but at least there was a link to all the items instead of going on a fishing expedition… Might be good for those bulk Pokemon card boxes or something… Maybe that $3,500 Omega watch I saw…

Anyway, typical eBay sale schtick… 15% off, $1,000 max discount… 5 uses and 10 items per use. (Jack may or may not have been been involved in this sale, so make sure to do your cross checking…)

Although, maybe it’s a good time for me to copy that other fella and get some itasha decals for my turbo jimny.

Got some second hand camera lenses for cheap! And it was delivered so quickly! Ordered on Sunday night, delivered to my house on Wednesday via DHL. Insane.

    • Do you have a link to the seller please?

      • +1

The seller I bought from doesn't seem to be included now for some reason, but this is a link to them: https://www.ebay.com.au/str/mapcamera?_trksid=p4429486.m3561…

        • thanks!

@cycloneaussie: I got it wrong mate. That seller isn't part of this deal. Sorry for the misinformation.

        • Hmm, it isn't working on their stuff for me. Was the first place I checked.

          • @jenna12: Yeah my bad guys. I think I got it confused with another seller who was selling similar lenses, but I ultimately didn't go with them because I think they were missing parts.

    • Do you have to pay 10% import tax to the delivery person?

      • +1

On ebay, GST is paid at checkout for items 1k or under.

    • Yeah DHL is fantastic from Japan, usually 2 to 4 days.

  • PS vita is japanese :D

  • just tried and it does not apply to motorcycle parts lol

    • You mean it doesn't apply to any of these parts?? Or just none of the parts you need?

    • +5

This is items shipped from Korea or Japan, it’s not discrimination, dummy.

  • How does import GST work - is it built in to the price?

    • +8

Bought a $920USD (~$1400) camera from ebay that was based in Japan, no GST was charged by ebay but got a bill from DHL for import duty $138, $95 gov charges and a $23 DHL processing fee

It was over 1,000 so that’s been the case since GST was introduced

    • Google it, keep purchases under $1k.

  • Has anyone bought an Omega watch from eBay and how’s the condition when it arrives?

    • +3

Really depends on the seller doesn't it.

  • Some of the watch shops have good images representing the watch, but that shop that you linked has a speedmaster with a supposed crack but can't see it. Makes it very hard to identify online. Anyway probably shouldn't buy another watch.. I came back from Korea in May with a brand new panomaticlunar. much cheaper than anything in oz as well

This is generally because Japanese sellers are quite honest and overstate damages.
Not purely out of good will though, for many of these sellers its a churn and burn situation with buying old stock/abandoned house items etc, so they don't want to be dealing with chargebacks and ebay cases over small amounts of damage they may not have stated and then have to argue over.

I often buy things from 'Mandarake' which is a reputable second hand seller, they will state "packaging damaged" even if the tape seal is simply cut. Avoids customers complaining about condition.

      • I completely agree with this. I'd just like to see what they were referring to with comments such as cracked lens
        This was the posting https://ebay.us/m/tvyw1C

        • That's horrid legibility, you'd be better off getting a traditional black dial Speedmaster.

I got a JDM mini turtle a year or two ago from eBay Japan on a similar sale, not sure if things are as cheap anymore.

          • @G-rig: Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly want it, I just look at what's around.

            • @maverickjohn: Free to look :).
Probably better off with with a good Speedy Reduced for $3 -3.3k I reckon.

              • @G-rig: Lol I'll pass. Very happy with my Panomaticlunar for now.. although for anyone interested I saw an omega DeVille day date for 5k at Marsden park costco

                • @maverickjohn: Yes I'm not interested either, those are potentially pretty costly to service/repair and have a piggyback chronograph/movement.

I like to stay away from vintage watches.

      • Yes. A few years ago, I bought a 2nd hand Canon lens for my wife from a Japanese eBay seller. The description stated that there were some marks and scratches on it but when it arrived it was virtually pristine.

      • Just as an fyi one seller jumped the price of a grand Seiko up by $500 making the deal much less attractive now.. so a few price jackings are taking place

  • Got myself an ecoflow river 2 using the fathers day 15% off, for 245. Good deal imo

  • +1

For anyone want to maximize the saving put your filter up to $6700. $1000 will be capped from there onwards.

I’d like a discount on renting a Japanese Grandma.

  • I was looking at a camera from Japan a couple of days ago, but this code is no longer being advertised for it.

Anyone found a good Kia EV for sale? Hyundai?

    • +1

1k discount for an EV is nothing.

Is the GST on the original price or price after the coupon?

  • Link for searching is not working

Looks like a bunch of overpriced cr*p.

eg [Mint] Canon IXY 430F 16.0MP Compact Digital Camera AU $374.11
looks like on I had 15yrs ago for $200.

    • That brings back memories, had a Canon ixus 800is in 2008, wouldn't have cost more than that.

I looked up the Seiko I got from eBay Japan, they are a lot more now!

  • This would be a prime deal to upgrade to mirrorless.. Or at least get another lens. Photography is way too expensive a hobby :')
