Manfrotto MK393-H (2.5kg Max) Tripod Kit $79.95 Pickup $9.95 Ship

60

I posted a deal on a lightweight tripod earlier, then came across this heavier-duty tripod that looks like a great deal too.

The weight limit on this one is 2.5kg, and the tripod only weighs 1.27kg, which is just 120g heavier.

Cheapest on ebay is $132, on staticice $104 + $22 shipping.

  • $88 landed from Amazon. Not too bad.

    • I dunno if you'll get the 5-year local warranty if you buy from Amazon though.

  • Are there any good monopod deal around guys?

    • Never been a fan of the monopod…

      • ha ha, I have a tripod already, but it is very heavy and a monopod would be a nice addition for taking pics for the kids in a normal park day…

        • Fair enough, I just bump up the ISO generally if the shutter speed's too long

    I can't believe I missed this deal.

    • There was an awesome amazon deal last year on a video monopod too. Amazon is gold sometimes!

  • Don't have a scale with me… but anyone would know how much a 7D + battery grip weight? im guessing 2.5KG won't make it if i add the lens. =/

    • dunno, but a 5D mk2 + battery grip + 24-105 and one batt is 2.05kg.

    • hmm I won't be using this tripod on a 7D for sure…

  • It may be a good deal for someone who has a very limited budget (e.g. students).
Otherwise I would suggest looking at something more decent. imho.

    • It depends on what camera they use. If they're using a mirrorless like a NEX or m43, this would certainly be good enough for regular use.
