Saw Annual eBay Plus for $7.99 on the homepage when browsing. Unsure if it's targeted but it does mention the promotion has started today from 10 am and ending on 30th of August 2025. The subscription will auto renew at $49.99 so you'll have to manually turn that off. FYI I have made a purchase from eBay this week for those wondering how to be targeted.

    I didn’t renew last year and honestly haven’t missed it.

    At $7.99 I wouldn’t mind renewing, but it’s showing $49 for me.

      Yeah im getting $49, probably because ive got a sub refunded like 3 times in the last year , seen a few decent deals that required ebay plus, signed up , make the purchase then i contact customer support the next day and get my sub refunded

        I got burned last time. Signed up for $49 with $30 voucher. Didn't receive $30 voucher and eBay support team put their hand up saying I wasnt eligible. I asked them to can the subscription and refund my money and they refused. So had to pay $49 and didnt use at all. Lucky you got yours refunded.

      I think so, there are two big sales in November and December. It is worth spending $8 to be eligible of these two events. I think you need a new account to take advantage of the promotion.

        There is only the same link that gets you to https://www.ebay.com.au/ebayplus/home with no options to cancel.

      I signed up, bought something I was going to order anyway and get free express post instead of standard post, the problem is there's no way of knowing if it's real express post (from Australia post) or this fake express post where it takes about the same time as standard post. And that's why people don't subscribe to scammy ebay.

    Past years may not be a reflection on this year, but there are usually a flurry of eBay Plus promos this time of year as promo members roll off and ‘ebayPlus day’ creeps closer. (Like that’s a thing.)

    In previous years, a shopping voucher and cash back often meant they paid you to join.

    This is possibly just the opening salvo.

    Didn't see the offer but the $7.99 was there when I went to sign up. I had a lapsed membership.

    Also my opinion, if you wait until you need to buy something, then cancel, it's easier to use the $30 they fling you. You have a whole year to find something.

      i always struggle with these. Remember you can split it on multiple products in your basket (be careful they are all in successful orders or you forfeit the voucher). Wine is often an overlooked useful semi expensive, without being expensive, buy.

    Anyone thinking of cancelling for the $30 voucher keep in mind that you'll need to fight for it. I have not received mine - six weeks later. I've bought a couple things in the meantime and no voucher.

    Yesterday I signed up to Ebay Plus through their $7.99 banner but was charged $49. Contacted their Chat Support and was told it's a known issue and will get an email with resolution. This morning received an email about $41.01 being refunded (email was titled "We sent your payout").
