For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

Why is the chipset not mentioned, that's like the most important bit.

    • Mediatek 8300

    • +9

Yeah dunno why I didn't copy it over. Tbf most posters don't even bother with a description.

    • +4

People really buy tablets outside of Ali and Samsung trade in price errors?

      • Samsung tablets make great place mats

        • -1

yeah i use them for cleaning my feet after shower

    • +10

I've bought all kinds of crazy stuff from Ali. Half the excitement is the low price, the other half is anticipation of whether what you ordered will be usable.
My last order was lightsabers. Turned out great.

      • +5

Oh is that what we're calling it now haha.

    • +1

Why not, I have this one and it's crazy good for the coin.

    • +1

      Circa 2021 Lenovo P11 Pro (TB-J706F) still going strong…

  • How do you actually search for the same tablet from the same company via topcashback? I can never get the same price as above

    • +5

Add to cart first and then click through TCB. Alternatively search for the SKU from the URL.

      1005008413960301

      • Thanks clear. Got one for $300 for the 256gb.

      • +1

Wow I did not know Ali cashbacks allow add to cart first. Does adding picks to bundle work too?

        • Yeah. I often go TCB app > AliExpress app > Bundle deals and checkout.

        • Yep, confirming TopCashback still tracks if you pre-add items to your AliExpress bundle "shopping cart", click on the topcashback link, then check out afterwards.

  • +4

Bought this tablet from the last deal and have been loving it.

    • +2

Same. I use it for work as extra screen and at home for games and some streaming.

      • -1

I'm looking to get the iPad. My only concern is whether it's safe or private to use. Has there been anything concerning like that?

        • It needs some attention to get it working in a safe way (in my opinion). If you're not feeling technical, there are plenty of safer options.

Delete almost all apps, get play store working, remove or disable as much as you can, load your apps, don't bank on it, should be fine.

      • @beeze how do you connect it as an extra screen for work? Usb c or wireless? Is the experience good?

I currently use a portable monitor for an extra screen while travelling for work. Replacing that with a tablet that can be used as an extra screen is very very very tempting!

    • How is the screen just for a YouTube screen?
Is the LCD noticeable compared to an OLED?

    • +12

Haha you must be joking. It's inferior in every way. Dunno how the Lenovo M11's 2021 G88 will beat a late 2023 Dimensity 8300. The comparison certainly disagrees

      • Yeah this is the same processor as found in the rg557.

      • -8

The Lenovo Tab M11 by Lenovo. Released on January 1, 2024, featuring a 11 Inch 1920 x 1200 px screen. Current model numbers are: Tab M11 LTE, Tab M11 Wi-Fi.

        • +3

The M11 released in 2024 but the SoC MediaTek Helio G88 was from 2021.

  • +2

Pretty awesome! Ordered the 256gb model for $303 aud

    • Oh that's really good actually..

if I can get it for $250 or less before they discontinue it would be nice

      • Ended up cancelling the 128gb one from yesterday's deal for it. Hopefully it goes down even more!

        • the fact u got it for $27 ish more and it being $303

has me really really tempted i can't lie…

upgrade over my p11 pro/xiaoxin pad pro 2020

        • did u use the US$35 OFF coupon aliexp coupon ?

          • @AeymothSky: I paid in AUD but just used the regular coupon above. The price seems to chop and change every minute though…

          • +1

@jazzpdp: That’s the 11” model ^ and not the 12.7” model which OzB froths

            • @ovrsze: Yeah this was a way better deal. Bigger screen and 144hz will make a huge difference

            • @ovrsze: Oh whoops thanks for pointing out

  • So tempted…

    • Do it.

Got the 2023 version and very happy with it.

      • this the 2025 version aye??

but is there a 2024 one?

idk about the whole 12.7inch and amoled to IPS screen tho

        • What was OLED? Doubt at this price point.

          • @beeze: The 2022 version had an OLED version for similar pricing.

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/839168

            • @Whatisthatvelvet: That's a lot of screen, likely some trade offs. Smaller, less RAM, pretty good processor, lower Res. Still, happy with the 2025 model.

          • @beeze: My P11 Pro/xiaoxin pad pro (2020)

sorry* it has a AMOLED panel

and yeh it's quite decent but I do notice some weird stuff at lowest brightnesses.

            It's pentile oled potentially too??

Anyway it has a Snapdragon 730G and 6gb/128gb storage.

for some reason my OS is taking over 30gb though.

What do most people use tablets for? Is it a boomer thing?

    • a lot of digital artists i know use ipads for their work

    • +3

Yes its a boomer thing. Just easier carrying a tablet around a 4 bedroom house and the deck out the backyard than putting a tv into every spare room.

    • They mostly use it for porn.

      Mostly…

    • Content, games, work. same things as the phone but on a bigger screen. I like tech so have many devices and try to flip the ones I stop using.

    • Comic books

  • This tablet is compatible with the lenovo pens right

    lenovo precision pen 2

    • Yeah I use it was that pen

      • Is this a good tablet for drawing/art for the price point? Need something for my daughter. Wondered about Galaxy FE series at a good price also.

        • I reckon it’s probably pretty good. It’s worse than and iPad but the whole thing is the price of an Apple Pencil

  • Has anyone claimed this on tax if using it for work purposes?

    • Not this but plenty of other things.

    • Yep, have done in the past for an iPad. You could justify it quite easily I'd imagine. I'm not paid enough to be audited though… Yet

      • how much do i have to be paid before i get audited 😂

  • +4

I bought the 256GB+8GB variant because it includes UFS 4.0 for faster read/write speeds compared to UFS3.1 in the 128GB variant, as well as better LPDDR5x
RAM, compared to LPDDR4x of the 128GB variant which was mentioned on foreign forums like 4PDA.

For the extra $20-30, seems like a no brainer for the more efficient variant.

I also used Cashrewards and applied the ‘SHOP40’ promo code to get $25USD off from the Goldway Store, and received the capped $25 cashback. Came down to $275 AUD delivered.

    • oh it's 4.0 on the 256gb?

      • Yes, the marketing is a bit shifty but if you read the listing description or look at one of the photos in the listing, it states ‘UFS 4.0 is only available on 256gb models’.

        https://ibb.co/mCqM9Lfy

        • -1

MediaTek Dimensity 8300 (tad better than the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1) Widevine L1 DRM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage with microSD support, 8GB or 12GB RAM,

the description is confusing that's why I asked

          ty

  • Question:
1.For the team function in aliexpress-i pressed something, and joined another team by accident- how do I leave that team?
    2. Haven't bought from aliexpress for looonnng time, do I need to pay with CC with no international fee, or i can pay with paypal?

  • +1

Relented and bought the 8gb/256gb version using the bigger $35 off code AUAF58 after adding a further $2 item to my cart.

Total US$188.50/AU$290 for both items before the twin rebates.

Yet another toy I didn’t know I needed. Thanks again @Clear!

  • +1

Why is this often a deal? I'm curious about the reviews

    • It's an amazing tablet for the price it costs atleast compared to local products in Australia. You'd easily pay more than double to get a similar value local product.

  • Is there any reason why whenever I try to use the coupon codes it says "This coupon code can't be used in combination with other discounts"? I can understand that there is already a discount on the item, but other people seem to be able to use the code.
Also is the listed price including the tax at the end?
    Thanks!

    • Ali Express never lists tax for any of it's products. So always add on about 10% to any listed prices.

  • Thank you op. Got one finally to replace my aged Xiaomi pad 4.

  • This Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro is CN ROM. Would with similar price a Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 (2025) global version will be a better choice?

    • ROM aside, if you're after the better processor between the two - xiaoxin wins with its MediaTek 8300. The rest is more base on your preference. If you want a slightly smaller display and not bothered by a lower 90hz screen refresh rate (vs 144hz of the xiaoxin) then go for the redmi. The rest of the configuration appears almost identical on paper between both devices - eg quad speaker, IPS display etc.

You can find a comparison between the two from this link. Although the redmi being compared with is the LTE version.

      • Would I need to change the CN ROM to Global for Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro? I am very unsure. Any help to understand me this aspect will be very much appreciated.

        • OP has already added steps in this post what to do. Basically you don't need to replace the ROM in order to enable google play.

You can also watch this video guide
Note that you don't need to perform the factory reset suggested in the beginning unless you're buying a second hand device that hasn't been wiped prior.

  • Thanks alot - gift sorted for my nephew :)

  • Thanks for the advice in the reply's, grabbed the 256gb, didn't realise this would have a speed boost over the 128gb

  • can anyone see the 10% cashback as shopping credit? the Ali rep is telling me it will not apply as I have not used the code JUDY03 from the team's page top banner

  • Finally bit the bullet and went the 256gb and got a foldable case to push it over the $330 minimum spend. Ending up totalling
$309 delivered for both. Hope I don't regret it 😅

  • The 8+256 model at $311 minus $46 from AUWS46 code works out the same as 8+128 model at $288 mimus $23 from the AUWS23 code, making it the bargain of the lot.
I went for the 12+256 model though, I bought my last tablet 5 years ago so I figure this one needs to last as long too.

    • Did the 256gb model become US$244?!?!

      SUDDENLY ?

      • I'm guessing you're referring to the 12+256 model, and yeah it looks like they've all gone up in price so I guess I should say the 8+256 model currently looks like the best bargain.

This listing is still the cheapest for the 12+256 model though, especially if you get it with a few other things to bump your cart to $430+ so you can use the AUWS70 code, but it doesn't look to be an ATL anymore.

        • And I should add that they said AUWS40 isn't available anymore (used up) but AUWS23 or AUWS46 still seem good.

        • oops yeah i meant to look at n buy the 8/256 haha

I bought this tablet from a previous deal and several apps don't work on it. Like outlook it doesn't open unless you restart the tablet. Whatsapp doesn't sync after a while. Don't recommend.

    • can anyone else confirm this? Not being able to use Outlook reliably/regularly is a deal breaker for me.
