      No.

      • That is against the Gift Card Terms of Use and Coles' policy on gift cards.

      • If you are purchasing a gift card at a checkout and swipe or scan a Coles gift card, you will trigger an Invalid Product Mix error on the EFTPOS terminal, and you will be asked to use another payment method.

    I'm thinking of getting this for Rebel sports for a $400 purchase but looks like they have a limit of 3 cards per order on their website.

    Anyone knows if TCN will let me consolidate 4 x $100 card into 1 x $400 gift card using TCN portal?

      The TCN website does not offer a service to consolidate of multiple TCN gift cards into one retailer-specific gift card (in your case, rebel gift card).1

      Here are some suggestions:

      • Contact TCN customer service to see whether they can consolidate multiple TCN gift cards into one rebel gift card for you as a one-off favour. (I have no idea whether TCN customer service have ever agreed to do this in the past.)

      • Go to a rebel store and ask to purchase a $400 rebel gift card, splitting payments across the 4x $100 TCN gift cards. (It will depend on whether staff will allow you to purchase a gift card using multiple TCN gift cards.)

      • Purchase a $400 TCN Dad digital gift card at 10% off through this deal, then exchange on the TCN website for a rebel gift card. (Hopefully your purchase does not get caught up in the fraud checks TCN runs on purchases made through Card.Gift.)

      • Wait until the next catalogue cycle for this 10% off offer at Woolworths and purchase a variable-load TCN Active gift card with $400 loaded onto it, then exchange on the TCN website for a rebel gift card.

      1. I have only ever seen one multi retailer gift card scheme - Swap gift cards - provide an option on the exchange portal to consolidate multiple of their gift cards into one, then exchange for one gift card. ↩

          That’s a bummer. At the end of the day, what you can do is use 3x $100 gift cards and pay the other $100 using a cc. You’re still saving $30 and only miss out on $10.

      It's always better to convert the EFTPOS card to digital and load on your wallet… I think the digital version is more broadly accepted than EFTPOS card!

                  @Craze: I've registered the card and downloaded the app and entered my mobile number in the app but getting an invalid request format (Looks like it can't retrieve the card details).

                  Looks like it could be an issue with my card or the fact i never received the sms using https://cardactivate.com.au/actions/tcndigitalredemption?

                  My card number starts with 5021251 0

      That stopped working a while ago on the digital version.

      When I last tried a couple of months ago at a Liquorland with the digital version, TCN declined the transaction with error code 12 (Invalid Transaction). On the TCN app, the error message for the transaction says RestrictedTerminal, which sounds like TCN allows some transactions at MCC 5921 (but not at major bottleshops). For transactions at merchants using MCCs completely blocked on the gift card, TCN usually uses a different error message (Card not authorised at this terminal, or something along those lines).
