MF50 or MF100 what you recommend?
I have the MF100. I can't speak for the MF50. All I know is that the MF50 was released long after the MF100, which is their best selling product. They might have wanted to capitalise on their success by developing a lower priced, budget offering. As with pretty much everything, buy the MF100 if it's in your budget.
Thank you!
I have the MF50, it's amazing for its size and price, but I'm still looking to upgrade to the MF100. If the MF100 is in your budget, get it.
Also have the MF50, bought it in last deal, it's incredibly useful for 90% of the dust I encounter, but it's also made me want to try the MF100 to see if it can get rid of the finer surface dust that doesn't budge without wiping.
@camshandez: I have the MF100, I still need to use the included brush or similar to gently 'dislodge' the super fine dust that's been sitting for some time.
It's kinda surprising, given how powerful the blower is. Not sure if there's some form of static force involved, or just enough 'stick'/fineness/thinness that path of least resistance is 'over' and not 'through'.
I looked through reviews yesterday, and for me the MF50 is where it is at.
From my reading: Slightly less powerful, but still powerful enough. Longer battery life. The flat bottom allows it to be used standing on a table to blow away dust from a work piece.
Could always print a stand for it… :P
What voltage do the MF50 and MF100 air dusters use and are they on par or more powerful than the Ozito 18V blower?
https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-blower-ki…
I recall seeing a past comment by another OzB user who said the MF100 works better than a cheap Ozito leaf blower, but I doubt it will be better than a proper leaf blower if you need to clean up fallen leaves.
Not sure about operating voltage though 😅
Wondering if you can clean the PC with the Ryobi leaf blower along with cleaning the garage too? What's the difference?
That's how I've always done it (well, ozito 18v blower) but have ordered this more for dusting around the house etc so I don't have to move everything whenever I do it.
Don’t forget that the code is listed on ShopBack, so another 20% off via cashback
Later today
20%? Is this later today?
Note that the standard cashback may be reduced when used with these codes, and I'm not 100% sure if the seller coupon matters or not.
It may be out of stock if you wait till 4pm…….
The seller coupon cannot be unticked at the checkout.
Any reason to change from using an old reliable OPOLAR one that has a vacuum feature too?
Wolfbox Electric Air Duster MF50 is great for cleaning out dust from my PC … but need to do it outside as its a dust storm lol
How much better are these than the opolar one?
I have the MF100 just purchased and two Opolar. The Opolar are pretty good, but the MF100 on high, is probably about three to four times better.
What does one use it for? I don't really have dusty computers, just some laptops and a mini PC for it - not really necessary, but maybe I am missing some applications?
clean air con filter
Would be great for blowing dust out of window / sliding door tracks etc - Dislodge and vacuum later
They're great for cleaning dust and cobwebs off anything that isn't a flat surface. Also good for giving things a quick dry after cleaning.
Would these be powerful enough to dry the dog after a bath??
I would suggest probably a good old fashioned hair dryer on warm and low speed
The air flow from these babies is quite powerful ( I have the MF100) and the wind-chill effect just using it on your face is quite noticable. I would think the rapid evaporation of water from a dog would make the dog feel quite uncomfortable - also the high frequency of the fan will probably cause acoustic discomfort.
IS IT SAFE FOR BLOWING THE PC ? IS STATIC DISCHARGE A ISSUE
It will be safe.
You call yourself a janitor? Blow & clean your capslock key while at it.
"Breathe easy. Free delivery and returns"
Not a very appropriate tag line for eBay Plus on this listing 😂 be choking on all the dust
Bought in last deal and it is so useful - use it for so many jobs around the house and out in my shed!
which model?
The MF100, it was $96
Has anyone used this to clean the interior of their car?
Pretty sure you'll be just moving the dust around in a car. Much better off using a vacuum.
I'd say it's pretty good for blasting debris out of the car if angled properly. Pair that with a good brush and it works on par if not better than a handheld wireless car vacuum.
I use it in combination with a vacuum. Blow out dust and hair from hard to get to places to where it can be sucked up.
I had to manually stack codes WOLFAUGUST20AU and VALUE15 to get the MF50 down to $42.07 (No ebay Plus)
It's saying I can't stack vouchers which is a bummer. How do you 'manually' stack em?
Thanks OP. Just order one (MF50 - it seems to be too good for 38.6$ eB+ :D)
Whats the ALT on the MF50, worth waiting for a better deal later in the year?
MF100 - 150,000rpm
MF50 - 110,00rpm% difference in rpm = 36%
% difference in price = 136%Golden question - is it really worth paying more than double for the MF100 for a 36% increase in fan speed?
That's the conundrum I'm in
Depends on if you need the extra air pressure or not. Saving money isn't going to help you if you need the power but don't have it.
I'd assume it's not just the RPM, but also the build quality.
So back of the napkin math based on the limited spec, teardown info and mostly reasonable assumptions.
The MF100 is about double the power of the MF50, has ~50% more kinetic energy in the airflow and ~30% more force for dislodging particles.
Is the MF100 worth it? For some use cases it would be and the extra power will clean better and work better to blow stuff at a distance (like across a floor).
thanks OP, bought MF50
Just bought MF50, couldn't justify the price difference between them for my use case. Thanks OP!
I bought last week from Amazon and on the way now
OMG getting cheaper and cheaper
LolBought a MF100 a couple months ago and has been great but the charging lately is a bit weird. I charged it overnight and the last charging light was still flashing.
Also the running time is decreased quite substantially. This is with only weekly use to clean my robot vac.
I had this same issue with a brand new one. Charging light never stopped flashing on the 4th led. And it would only hold charge for 3 minutes on full power. I returned it for a full refund. Lucky I bought 2 and the other one didn't have any of the same issues (full power 10 mins).
I bought the MF100 recently
its fine for what it does, but on full power, 5 to 6 minutes battery life is about the max I getCan we inflate a bike tyre with this?
No don't think so, but you can inflate things like camping matresses, kids blow up swimming pools, etc
Nope. How would you set and measure the PSI?
Thanks OP, this is a great price!
I will HODL however, because I have an older xiaomi one from yeeeeaars ago. Thanks, and good timing - bought the MF100 for cleaning my laptops and keyboards. Works great, exceeded my expectations
How loud is this thing?
Loud enough at max for me to consider using hearing protection when using for an extended amount of time in a small space.
Brutal. Guess its not for me.
how are these to dry the car after it's been washed?
Bought MF50, cashback tracked $9.68, total reduced to $32.39 (not eBay plus member)
How did you uncheck the WOLFAUGUST20AU voucher? I was forced to use it so couldn’t get the extra 10% upsize plus 10% Apple Pay cashback. Maybe they will confirm later as I only have measly 2% cashback from Westpac
Could not uncheck either, so had both WOLFAUGUST20AU and VALUE15 applied. 10%+10% cashback was tracked 6.5 hours later.
don't need one, so I will wait for the mf100 when it goes below us$50
Got the MF50
Will give it a good test on a pc, ps5 (I open and clean the internals every 5-6 weeks), the xbox and a few laptops. When doing so I usually use cotton buds to wipe and remove the dust. Hopefully the MF50 speeds up the process. So it just spreads dust from one object to another?
Why can't they make a vacuum which sucks up dust then you could use it for the car.
You blow dust and crumbs out from places you could never reach with a vacuum, then vacuum it up
It appears WOLFAUGUST20AU no longer applies to the MF100 and MF50 :(
Sounds like ozbargain….wolfed down… the code?
Just for future reference I ordered thr MF50, got it very fast no issues.
It has three speeds
Bugger all, will move clumps of dust around hard floors with no issues.
Will get dust off monitors and hard surfaces fine, the basic pressure you'll use most of the time.
Blowing crud out of keyboards power, will blow anything light/medium weight clean off your desk. Enough power for the majority of cleaning tasks.
This air duster has to be one of the certified GOATs of OzBargain. I clean my PC in an open garage once every few months using this, then after I'm done, I use it as a makeshift leaf blower to blow all of the dust and bits out of my garage. Works way better than a broom or dustpan.
