      To be fair I don't think $10 is unreasonable given the effort required to film it and the fact it appears to include subtitles etc.

      He also appears to add his own spin on the script which you can't get elsewhere. Fair price imo.

      The retail price is BS though

      The service is more the unique touch he adds to things, ie how he emphasises the scripts and the laughter.

      You could probably train AI on his videos and end up with an AI copy, but it wouldn't be at a fraction of the price.

      AI would otherwise produce some obvious artificial goop without extensive training, though fairly maybe good enough quality for memes still.

    The downvotes are weird. Yes, he runs this offer every so months but so does allot of the eBay, super cheap etc %-off deals.

    I’ve used him before to make a few meme films to announce things. It’s an odd novelty but everyone got a kick out of it and he delivers as advertised. He even reshot something because of my own mistake without charging. That’s pretty decent for $10. So yeah- if your considering this then I can vouch he does delivery and the negs are larger if people think it’s a deal or not.

      It's interesting that you think what BMT offers is still a 'novelty'. Many of the negs, like mine, are related to the fact that we believe his meme videos have had their time in the sun and are no longer interesting. When I was much younger, buying a pet rock was all the rage. That lasted about a year before the fad of purchasing one virtually died and only a few continued to find them worthwhile.

      I think your comparison to discounts on eBay and SCA is weird. People always need cheap phone cases, screen protectors, headlamp globes, motor oil and the like, so being able to buy them at a discount is appreciated. Do people always need meme videos or are they more like pet rocks?

            @dibdob: sad to hear, but I don't think rocks in the wild swim very often, most of them can't, so I think even though old age might have accounted for him by now, it is possible there are descendants in that river as we speak.
            (that seems to me have been while not the best, certainly not the worst way to release such a pet)

        I understand your point but your neg and argument is subjective. You have lost interest, sure, but that doesn’t mean others might not or that there isn’t new OzB members. People are still buying, people are still waiting for deals, people are upvoting. This means it is entirely relevant for some. Down voting cos you’ve lost interest pushes it off the public page.
        We could equally make the point about any deal that’s progressively lost interest. Whether it is ratchet spanners or something else, everyone who immediately wanted one jumped on board the first few rounds but it doesn’t mean there’s no point reposting the same deal again.
        Or posts that have 1 upvote - should we downvote them because we are not interested.

        Your neg is because you don’t like the product which really isn’t in the spirit of things. Just block the stuff you don’t like if it’s within the rules of the site.

          Would you be happy seeing posts for pet rocks, fidget spinners, mood rings, lava lamps, yo-yos, hacky sacks, koosh balls, furbys, whoopie cushions and other novelty crap filling the deals pages six or more times each year for the next 8+ years? That's what BMT has done.

          There's a reason the proportion of negs on his posts has grown significantly over time, particularly in the past 12 months when he or his shills have posted this "deal" eight (8!) freaking times. BMT knows people are becoming annoyed by his increasingly frequent posts for a service which has lost much of its allure, which is why he wrote that he would not be commenting on all the anticipated negative comments. Many (most?) people are absolutely sick and tired of it, yet he still keeps pushing it, knowing full well he is annoying many ozbargainers. To me, that's the behaviour of a selfish jerk rather than an amusing meme creator. I'm glad my down vote help to knock it off the public page and am thankful the majority of other voters share my view.

          Best of luck to BMT, but he needs another gig. His increasingly desperate attempts to revive this tired money spinner have eroded a lot of the goodwill he once enjoyed.
