EDIT: Per comments, description on the website says "professionally refurbished", though the title explicitly says "BRAND NEW". Unclear, so buyer beware I suppose.

Decent price for a brand new M2 MacBook Air, 16GB. No catches, coupons, eBay Plus, etc. In fact the same product on eBay from HT is $1,165 (-$100 with coupon). Was $1,004 on eBay a week or two ago.

Delivery is reasonable, around $9 to metro Melbourne. Credit/debit card fee applies.

    The item is a brand new one. Apology for the confusion on the description. But unfortunately, there was a system error during the weekends for the stock and price of this item.

    Due to this error, the cost of $880 was listed incorrectly on our website. As a result, we are unable to fulfill this order.

    We have already processed a full refund to your original payment method.

    We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

      Sounds like a lie.
      A clearance item, and only $100 less than previous deal. They just got surprised by the demand, so will relist at a higher price.

      Sincere my arse. I'd tell the store rep where to go, but they are already banned from OzBargain due to underhanded tactics.

    Based on their ebay listing, I guess they want to charge $1165 for an M2.

    So for an extra $300, you could get a current generation machine that is 3 years newer.

    I’ve emailed them twice and no reply. Pretty poor service, if they aren’t going to honour it they should communicate that and promptly refund.

    I actually need one and want to buy elsewhere later today, but don’t want to find myself with 2 machines if they actually deliver!

    • I followed up with them in their online chat and they advised my order will be fulfilled and I should receive the tracking details by Friday.

      • I called them and was told all orders will be cancelled due to the description error. What a mess.
        Give them a call and you might get a different answer.

    My brother-in-law received an email yesterday for pickup. Since Harris Technology is close to my workplace, I went with him to collect it. I can confirm that it's a brand new MacBook Air M2.

    Ok I got an email saying they would fulfil my order, after previously telling me it was cancelled.

    My wife told me not to order from this deal because the order would definitely be cancelled. Then I secretly ordered it anyway.

    If I actually receive the order, this could be my favourite deal of the year.

    Hi all, long time (unregistered) lurker, first time voter and commenter, and a happy new M2 MacBook Air owner! I placed my order on Sunday at around 4:30pm and opted for click & collect. I received email confirmation on Monday from Mark at Harris Technology that they are working to get my order ready, and on Tuesday Mark advised my order would be ready for collection today (Wednesday).

    I visited the Hallam office this afternoon to collect my order, and similar to the experience of @SteveD, I can confirm that my laptop is indeed brand new. The exterior cardboard box is the same that Apple supplies when shipping a laptop, the internal product box was shrink-wrapped, and the laptop itself had Apple’s paper wrapping. The M2 MBA was pre-loaded with Sequoia 15.1 which indicates a build date sometime around late 2024. The battery needed charging (presumably from being in storage for so many months) but fired up immediately when connected to power.

    While at Harris Tech’s Hallam office, I had a good chat with a staff member who collected my order and got the impression they were caught off guard by the huge demand for this deal. My case as well as that of a few others shows that they are working through the large volume of orders and honouring as many sales as they can, and for those that missed out hopefully refunds are issued promptly.

        • I was the same. Only had 'payment captured' in my account and an order #. I didn't receive any emails. I emailed them yesterday and now I have progressed to "order processed" and I have now received an Invoice #. Wait and see now if it's fulfilled.
