Old 2022 model but was top of the range of AMDs prev generation of gpus.

Last deal in may seemed to be popular and was $1249 so this is a great discount in comparison

Sold and shipped by haul global… i got a baaaaad feeling bout this

    • Haul global is just Amazon US - that's nothing to worry about whatsoever.
If you see sold by iGrandoo, you are in for a world of pain - whether shipped from Amazon US or other (direct).

Bad news about my order to my united states address boys

Will add to the commenters who will say I clicked the wrong link with the wrong asin. This was in fact an order for a link with the correct 7900xtx asin as per my previous post. I'll see what Amazon US support can do.

If there is a LPN RR sticker on the box, it means it's a previous return stock.
So people who haven't got charged, cancel your order ASAP.

      • This was an order sold and shipped by iGrandoo.
Most people here have purchases sold and shipped by Amazon US (or Haul Global - the same thing).

There should be no reason they will be receiving a hair dryer. Amazon US have their own bins for their products.

3rd party sellers share bins for identical products (hence always the potential to receive a fake item, even from a trusted 3rd party seller) but Amazon AU and Amazon US sold and shipped items come from their own warehouse bins.

    • This was shaping up to be one of the best GPU deals ever… now it's one of the worst hairdryer deals ever.

      • Mine just shipped now, $800 goofy ahh hairdryer on the way!

    • +1

Update: all they can offer is a refund upon return of the hairdryer. No replacement option available

    • Wait did yours say haul global? And will all our orders be hairdryers? Is there any chance its real and i could still receive a gpu? Mine says arriving tuesday

      • US said something else. Said sold by the scammer guy and shipped by other.

    • Celeriestix, did you order with the ozbargin link?

  • +1

Canceling order not worth the hassle

    • Yeah would've done the same but mine's shipped.

      Guess I'm in it now.

      • Do you think we could still get a real gpu?

        • Possibly. Not losing hope. Worst case contact Amazon Support and get a refund

          • @KoalaTeaPuns: Yeah, did you order on amazon au, like the ozbargin link? Cause i think that guy with the hair dryer ordered it from the amazon us website

            • @justin21: I ordered it on amazon AU. Still says sold by Haul global but got reassured that its amazon

              • @KoalaTeaPuns: So wouldnt amazon or whievers packing it notice if it was a hairdryer?

                • @justin21: Im not sure. Maybe they have robots picking orders

                  • @KoalaTeaPuns: If your order is sold and shipped by Amazon US/Haul Global - you are going to receive a video card.
Celeriestix's US order was sold and shipped by iGrandoo, not Amazon US - don't give up hope.

  • Mine was supposed to arrive yesterday but still hasn't shipped. Mine still showing as igradoo

    This is what support said
"Upon checking the details, I can see that the item is not available in the nearest fulfillment center. So we need to get it from another fulfillment center. That is why it is taking time to get shipped."

Surely they have plenty of hair-dryers in stock?

    • Where does it show igradoo?

      • When I click on order details it shows
        Sold by: iGrandoo
        Supplied by: Other

        • Oh mine says haul global, ao did we order differently?

          • @justin21: You ordered from Amazon US, Krisspy ordered later direct from iGrandoo (scammer store).

    • Mine one should arrive on Tuesday and now shows "Sold by: Amazon US". Before it was Haul Global. Fingers crossed.

  • mine was just cancelled onnme due to stock despite it being "shipped" prob dodgy

    • You are lucky. My package is on the way to Australia and is only reported 1.3kg. It’s exactly the weight for a hair dryer. Way too light for a high end GPU.

      • How do you find out the reported weight?

        • Go https://parcelsapp.com/
They can extract more details than Amazon tracking page.

          • @ggzdwy: Mine says 1.4kg and also on transit to Australia.

            • @dealhunter52: Same as mine, so do you think its not the gpu? Chat gpt says it weighs 1.8kg.

              • @justin21: 3 fans GPU like this should stats from 3kg.
I just measure my spare 3070 strix, it’s 2.7kg naked.

                • @ggzdwy: So is it over now? Is it a scam? Or could the weight be un accurate

              • @justin21: Yep, most online sources point to the GPU weight itself (without packaging) to be upwards of 1.5kg.

I'm almost certain that we'll receive the hairdryers. Hopefully, Amazon is quick with refunds without major dramas.

          • +1

@ggzdwy: I spoke with live chat, so there’s still a possibility of receiving the correct item and in the worst case, You'll be able to get a full refund anyways.

            https://gyazo.com/d64a448d7e1f7189460b6f612f0b5947

So the GPU alone weighs 1.5kg alone so 1.65kg total should be correct with box/accessories etc. Fingers crossed

            • @ATB: Same answer from chat, guess it’s just the listed weight by the scammer. Sad.

Thought it’s the deal of the year.

            • +1

@ATB: Let's see what we get. Mine has already completed custom clearance this morning.

              • @dealhunter52: Nope, no good returned it to Auspost via barcode scan earlier today. It's hairdryers unfortunately. Deal was too good to be true.

          • @ggzdwy: Strange, tracking for mine doesnt list weight. According to Amazon, my order is being delivered by DPD

  • +1

I cancelled mine not worth the hassle

  • Mine got delayed at customs, hope they'll find the scam and fine them

    • Did you order from the original link?

Hopefully either tomorrow or Tuesday we'll see if the first link was legit!

      • +1

Yeah I have 2 of them in one parcel, only 2.6kg, definitely scam. It's appalling Amazon was doing the scam. Another parcel with only 1 item is 1.4kg

        • Are both of them sold by Amazon US/haul global?

          • @KoalaTeaPuns: Yes. All from Amazon US. We're done, don't have any meaningless hope on this scam

            • @Meteor Anarcom: We will now need to wait and see. Just have low expectations.

            • @Meteor Anarcom: Could the weight be unaccurate tho? The card weighs like 1.5kg so maybe its only off by a bit

              • @justin21: It could be inaccurate, but not for every one, if all of us are getting 1.4kg parcels, there's no chance there is a graphics card. The boxes weigh much more over the precision

                • @Meteor Anarcom: What about if they are using prepaid postage labels? Like the ones ebay sells for specific weights, but then shipped all the cards in bulk to Australia, like ik a big 50kg package

  • Or there scale might be off by 200 grams, the card with powercolor box should weigh 1.6kg

  • My order got cancelled by Amazon due to insufficient stock. Were they actually going to send a gpu, guess it'll remain one of life's mysteries.

Good luck to all you aspiring hair dressers

  • +1

It's over now bois. Received the product today and got a hair dryer. Just on a meeting right now, will attach the product photo shortly

      • RIP!

People that missed out dodged a bullet…

        • 100%. Now my $830 is stuck with Amazon for a few weeks - 1 month. RIP. Luckily already purchased another GPU a few days ago as I don't believe I will receive the correct GPU from this deal.

Already spent $1200 on other PC parts because I was thinking of building a PC using the GPU from this deal when it first launched. HAHAHA

          • @eunkookie: normally they will refund several hours after you drop of the return, even it's a Amazon Global order.
However, sometimes they do hold it for a couple weeks or until you contact them.

    • Im guessing the seller for your order was Amazon US/haul global?

      • Yeah, changing from Haul global/Amazon US from time to time. Ordered from the original link as well.

    • Have you already contacted Amazon for refund?

      • Yeah, I did. Best they can do is just a refund. No replacement.

        • Thanks. Did they ask for hair dryer to be returned before issuing the refund? Scammer must have made upwards of $100K on this scam.

          • @dealhunter52: Why do they do this? Is it so they can keep the money?

            • @btchodler: I assume these scammers do the scam using one store and keep the money, then open another store on Amazon to do another scam.

            • @btchodler: I'm not sure how the scam works tbh. What is even more misleading is how they claimed to sell and sent by Amazon US.

Also , would the scammer be able to cash out the money once they made the sale? I assumed Amazon would have been smarter than that and put a hold on the funds before transferring to the seller

              • @eunkookie: Yea, don't see the point if these listings except to waste people's time

          • @dealhunter52: Yeah, asked for the product sent to be returned as well before they processed the refund.

  • Just received mine, the same hairdryer

    • Are you able to ask for compensation?

      • They promised to refund me the price difference for the same model. I tried to get them to do a price difference for a 9700XT, but both agents refused. They can only match the PowerColor Hellhound 7900XTX Black from the original link (which is actually much more expensive in price difference compares to a 9700XT).

        • I actually thought about trying this as well!

        • Really? They are going to refund $1,800+ which is what the 7900XTX was selling for? That would be amazing if so.
I would also be happy to get a 9700XT instead of a 7900XTX if that was/is an option.

          • +2

@CallumS: They will refund roughly $900 but only in gift card credits, which is fine for me. And yes 9700xt is definitely a better option if you could get a price difference from them, but it totally depends on the agents who you'd talk to.

            • @AbruzziH: But the 7900XTX from the original listing is gone and probably won't come back again. How can you order it then?

              • +3

@dealhunter52: Ordered the one priced $1801.89, same model from the original link but with different colours(the black). They promised they'll cover the difference once I received the new card. I doubt if they really calculate it but anyway that's what they offered to me. Will see how it goes this Friday

                • @AbruzziH: Great outcome. Hopefully, you get the GPU this time.

                • @AbruzziH: They offered the same to me, but I am not sure what card to get max out the benefits, maybe just like you get the $1801 model

                  • @abuseyourdna: 9070xt is better, but of course if given the option

                    • @eunkookie: Thanks for your advice, I was hoping to get a Nvidia card like 5070 ti, it is the similar performance with 7900xtx, but not sure they will accept it or not.

  • Haven't got mine yet but was assured on 3 separate occasions before and during shipping that it'll be the GPU. Even got told it will be rechecked at each stage.

What're my chances of pushing for the actual item?

    • +1

Zero from past experience but worth a try to get a gift card out of live chat as compensation

    • Tbh, it seems like the lucky few that had their orders cancelled are the ones where the workers actually cross-checked what the item was they were packing.

      • +1

I got my order cancelled by Amazon, not sure if coincidence or not but I did email them a day before it was cancelled asking them to check if I'm going to be sent a gpu or a hair-dryer.

Would've loved a price match or some form of compensation lol

        • +1

Get on chat and whinge that you had to buy it locally and was waiting for so long and they just cancelled your order. They might come to the party and offer some form of compensation. Just tell them you purchased from Amazon as it was cheaper than a seller on ebay and then when your order was cancelled you ended up having to pay more to buy the same card a week later.

They often have flexibility to offer something.

  • got my hair dryer too….

  • Well, I asked support today, and they said to be at ease, as I will receive a GPU instead of a hairdryer, lol.

Let's see, as the GPU will be delivered by October 10th.
