Honestly this is a steal of a buy, yes it has a bit more power consumption compared to a 9070XT, but it beats it consistently by 10% at 4k and the extra VRAM is always beneficial!
I had the Sapphire Nitro+ and it was a beast - Upgraded to a 5090 but Im thinking of buying another :D

Technically FSR4 can run on older cards, but lack of FP8 support makes it a bit slower. And it's not official haha.

@JDMcarfan: I doubt they are going to even ship it.. . But if they do I'll bear it in mind. I was planning on benchmarking it on a PCIE4x4 oculink dock just to see what the performance loss is, as I found my 5070Ti doesn't work with Pcie4.0 x4 docks.. (This is the dock limitation, not the card)
So assuming it even gets delivered I'll either pass it on at a bargain price or flog my 5070Ti at a loss and run with the AMD card. I had one previously and liked it (Sapphire 7900XTX), but the problem was that only had 2x display ports and 2x HDMI and I couldn't live with that in me 3x1 screen setup so I returned it to Amazon. It was a monster of a card, I'm genuinely curious to compare it to a 5070Ti on the same rig.

TBH it’s not too bad as long as you are not trying to do anything with Stable Diffusion models. It works but it’s horrifically slow (when it’s not throwing out of memory errors constantly) compared to nVidia

If that is your only concern, (and it’s LLMs) you are generally better with nVidia/CUDA.
If you are comfortable with Linux and kernels, Docker, etc. or want to take a punt on AMD sorting themselves out soon with Rocm 7 a 16Gb AMD card could be the ticket as you can get a new card at a decent price compared to nVidia. Performance isn’t awful for a lot of LLM use cases and ROCm is improving. Really down to your skill set and what bargains come up.
If not I would look at a Quadro P6000 second hand or a modded 2080. GPU RAM is king. These are all second hand and likely been flogged though so buyer beware.
If you want gaming too, you should consider a second hand 40 series or wait for a deal on whatever 50 series fits your budget IMO.
To keep the XTX, or to keep the 9070xt. A hard choice indeed.

That way you get an email notification when someone posts that item, and then you get anxiety after realising that you were only fantasising about buying the thing, but can't justify the purchase because you were only shopping for things to get a dopamine hit.
