Amazing price on the 65 inch. Hopefully they honour the trade in discount without requiring trade in

    • Where is the trade in option when ordering online?

      • Anyone know how the trade in works?

      • It seems to just automatically add it to the checkout to give the price OP posted. I read somewhere else that this had something HN have done before. So probably not an issue!

    • +1

I bought my TV through this deal that also gave a discount when trading in an old appliance. The delivery guy rocked up, dropped the TV off and didn't mention anything about trading in an old appliance, so I guess they don't really care.

  • Is the 77” a good deal?

    • +1

Looks like it. Maybe just not ATL like this old deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911712

    • +11

You might be able to save another $100-$200 but personally I think this is a good price and just buy and enjoy. The extra month or two of enjoying the TV is worth the bit of money you might save. Don't forget to turn off Automatic Content Recognition and opt out of all the privacy stuff (if you absolutely have to connect it to the internet). Oh and price match don't buy from HN.

      • +1

Sorry for being stupid but how would you set the TV up without connecting it to the internet?

We currently have a 70" Kogan LED and we just watch YouTube videos (via SmartTube), Netflix, and SBS On Demand through the TV apps.

We're looking to buy an OLED TV soon so genuinely asking how would you set up yours if you were getting a new one.

        • It just wouldnt update but you could still get it up and running and watch FTA channels, a bit of a waste though.

        • +2

Use the TV as a monitor. Use an Apple TV, Firestick or similar to do all the streaming. TVs tend to slow down after each update anyway so having a separate device to do all the streaming is the way to go.

        • So, I think you just do connect it to the internet, right? You're connecting for YT, Netflix and SBS, so you put in your wifi id and pw and off you go, it should have all of those apps?

          • +2

@conza: @conza Yes, and that's what I have done until now.

However, I'm going to take up Elyxar's advice and get an Apple TV.

            • @Lemmefink: Fair enough, many people do, would suggest you try the inbuilt apps first if you don't have a tv box yet, I think they're like $200, they're great devices, prefer them to the Android ones as most of those run ads now, but the in built apps are now quite good I'm not sure the dedicated devices have much of a purpose.

              • @conza: I'm happy with the apps but some of them act a little weird on my Kogan TV.

Let's say, if you're browsing programs inside the 9 or ABCview app, if you go to the very end, it brings you back to the homepage which is a little annoying.

Additionally, if I need to change the brightness, I need to exit the app and go to settings to do it. I just want to simplify things a little.

      • Would price match be honoured with the trade in bonus? (Even though you don’t seem to need to trade in)

  • Is $800 more worth it for the 83”, 6” more?

    • +6

Definitely. 6 inches diagonally doesn’t sound like much, but when you consider the actual increase in surface area it’s a pretty massive difference. Do a bit of research though, from memory I remember hearing that the 83 is missing some features of the smaller models. But that may have been last years model, I’m not sure.

      • @max99 got any details on the possible features that might be missing from the 83" ? I am trying to decide between that and the 77". At these prices the 83" is tempting

    • +22

I am astounded the first response to this was a serious answer…

      • Do you mean my comment? What’s your issue with it?

        • The extra 6 inch question usually gets responses implying the woman in your life would thank you.

  • +1

damnnn got my 83 couple weeks ago at JB could’ve saved a few hundred more but ah wells greta prices! def don’t sit on these prices

  • +1

Great price on that 83". Basically what a good price on a 77 was only a few years ago.

  • are these panels WOLED?

    • Yes.

    • MLA woled are great panels.

      • +2

        LG doesn't use MLA anymore.

        • +1

Yeah correct it looks like a better tch has been implemented, so the newer screens should be an improvement over what were great screens.

  • +1

cheers! 65 and soundbar S80TR.. thanks op!!

  • +1

Is the deal over? How are we getting the prices in the title? I am calculating the 55" and it's:

    2283 - (2283 × 0.15) = $1,940.55

EDIT - I am blind, it's in the OP:

There’s no need to trade in your old electronics as the code is automatically applied at checkout

    • +1

Extra $250 at checkout for trading in an old appliance but it’s not required

  • +2

Why are the C 42's so expensive this year -_-

  • -2

I still have an LG oled 65c7t that I purchased in 2017

Would this TCL be an upgrade on that, or my old LG still better?

    • if you talking about the c6k tcl id say your tv is better but mini led technology might be brighter and have high refresh rate (gaming) otherwise not worthwhile to upgrade, oled still are better looking compared to mini led any day in my personal opinion. obviously depends on the condition of your lg tv

    • This is not a TCL?

  • This or TCL?

    • +3

i think he commenting on the wrong post this is about lg oled their is another one talking about 65 inch tcl c6k for $916

    • OLED > Mini LED.

      • -1

Except for the price. And power efficiency. Mini LED is much cheaper

  • Great price for the 55" C5.

  • +1

Excellent price. Just bought the 65" + S80TR soundbar. Tks op!

    • is S80TR better than SC9S?
      Prices are similiar…

also wouldn't be cheaper/better to get a proper 5.1 speaker setup?

      • S80TR has the extra speakers for a more immersive sound. Afaik the SC9S tries to emulate that via just the soundbar.
Yep speakers are better but I like the convenience/connectivity of soundbars. It just all works seamlessly with the TV.

  • 77 inch - no matter whatever card I use it always say unsuccessful card payment??

  • -1

    Is c5 $4399? I'm getting $5,341.00 with the 600 trade in applied

    • Did you apply EXTRA15 code?

      • -1

No! Wow that's an insane price.

I bought mine for 5200 a month ago. I might try to claim my first ever price protection insurance.

It's a great TV by the way. Anyone tossing up this or the G5 just get the C5, it's awesome.

        • Did you have the G5 or just compared?

    LG OLED EVO C5 AI UHD 4K Smart TV 2025: 55" $1690.55, 65" $2426.10, 77" $3566.40, 83" $4399.70 + Del ($0 C&C) @ Harvey Norman
What is this .. Click on go to deal and these prices are nowhere near correct.

    • +1

Did you add to cart and apply the EXTRA15 discount code as instructed?

    • +1

fun fact: you can read before putting the comment in

  • Given these low prices, do you think JB would price match? Esp the trade in $500/$600 part?

Just trying to decide between 77inch or 83inch! $800 difference between the two models

    • Probably. Try asking JB's online chat.

      • Tried JB earlier to match and they weren't playing ball on the "trade-in" clause - that said, even if you had to do a trade, there is no specification on what the trade-in electrical appliance has to be, could give them an old hair dryer for $250-500 off :)

        • +1

I do wonder if the trade in discount has been added purely so that competitors won’t price match. As there is no info and HN don’t seem to care about it.

    • I got good guys to match

Macquarie Marketplace has 4% off gc

  • Went and had a look at the 42's and 48's yesterday to be a monitor, damn this 55 is not far off the 48 price (48 is ~1610 with JB discount this weekend). Anyone using the 55 as a monitor?

    • +2

Dont recommend using 55 as a monitor. 42 is perfect, especially with OLED.

    • Sometimes I see people commenting that a 48 inch is a perfect monitor but that's crazy talk unless you're sitting like 3 metres from your desk. Even 42 is probably a bit big but YMMV

  • +1

83" for $4282.70 inc delivered after using 8x gift cards to get 4% off. cant complain =D

    • What gift cards and how did you use them?

      • Macquarie market place

    • You should pm with jbhifi, and get another 15% discount!

      • +1

Nooo don’t tell me this haha

  • Upgrading to a 65 inch C5 from a 55 inch X90J. I’ve regretted not getting an OLED initially and I think I am now ready for an upgrade. Can’t wait.

  • Hi there, I am considering between this or LG 65" QNED TV specifically 65QNED86ASA, the price is about half, but is there any drawbacks or things I should be considering for the QNED TV? OLED tv seems to be too expensive abit over my budget, and if its not LG QNED, any other brand recommended? Usage: streaming youtube, stan, watch soccer, gaming etc

    • TCL rates well. Do a search and you’ll see the comments on the tcl mini led.

  • I just bought the 77" C5 for 3690 including delivery from JB HIFi. It was the best they could but i was happy to pay the extra $65 to avoid Harvey Norman.

PM with JBHIFI, 15% perks, with Macquarie Marketplace GC 4%, and claim $380 gst, 83' final price $3,268. What a deal!

    • +1

How’d you get perks discount on top of a price match? And what do you mean by gst claim? Thanks

      • Yeh not sure how it’s possible to get perks discount with price match. GST back via TRS? lol or business use?

        • PM in stores and receive the link, you can place the order online with perks coupon.

          • @charlesgao01: Would you mind sharing a screenshot of yours with the code on? Would be handy to match against

            • @Warehouse: Just give the screenshot of HN’s price to JBHIFI staff, that’s enough.

      • New user of JBHIFI can use perks 15% discount

  • Price matched the sound bar to $745

Total price for 77” was $3811

    Can confirm

Went to JB, price matched HN 83" OLED C5 for $4399, then managed to add further 15% off using JB Perks (You just sign up using a new email ID), then less 5% using BUPA LifeRewards JBHIFI gift cards.

Original Value before any deals: $5995
    Final Price: $3552
    Saving: $2442

    • How did you manage to use the Perks voucher in store

      • I read the T&C for Perks and there is nothing written stating that you cant use it on top of price match. I got a mate to tell me the cost price of 83inch OLED C5 and its 4700 for them at cost.

What I'd recommend is go to JB and show them that harvey norman has this item, let me add it in front of you and show you the final price, some people may let you in!

    • +1

Interesting that JB price matched you the 15% off for $4399 and the allow you to use the Perks code again

    • Can you share your receipt please? I just tried and they wouldn’t match HN, said it’s a website error with the trade in auto applied.

      • -1

I just checked my receipt, they gave me 15% JB perks on all items that were price matched with HN

        • Which store?

    • Share the receipt. Sounds BS.

tried to price match at JB on top of the 15% perks discount
    they cancelled my order

    D:

    • Did u pay for it already?

      • I paid for it but getting refunded
they cancelled my order when they saw it but I already left the store

    • Seems a bit hit and miss on who you got this weekend, i tried several times to get 15% off competitor advertised prices, but they claimed either it was 15% off JB advertised prices only, or you could not get 15% off negotiated pricing (3 different online reps stated this), in my case I did find a better deal than theirs on the 42”, so didn’t bother taking it further.

This was only done with online chat, so your mileage may vary with instore reps like the 2 above seemed to have scored, i.e got the price reduced in store and then getting the perks applied at the counter with a new email id?

      • yea the store rep was adamant you can't double dip.
he said the C5 77" for 3.5k was already a great deal

        • Don't think it is double dipping though. Legit go read the terms and conditions of JB Perks, has no mention about "Perks 15% cant be used in conjuction with price match" etc.
Oh well hopefully Black Friday deal ends up beign better I hope

          • @waltjizzney: the price was too good, might've been under the cost-price that they buy from LG
might be store dependent. I'm sure if you were friends with the manager they would make it happen

            • @discountdong: Nah no friends, probs the fact that i purchased 7 other items that were part of that household appliances deal, maybe thats why no question lol
