They have those Christmas buckets of Pinacolada mixer at Big W at Macarthur Central for $1. I bought one figuring I could use the bucket for something even if it was undrinkable.

I didnt want to waste any spirits on it, so I dosed it up with two bottles of rough white that I bought off Grays back when they had a $20 voucher, $9 a case. So they were 70 cents each.

Froze it with the mix, and it does taste a bit nasty, very artificial. But after about three glasses you dont notice so much.

$1 for the bucket and $1.40 for the wine adds up to $2.40 for 20 pinacolada drinks. About 12 cents each. It tastes a bit wobbly but you can't complain for that price.

      I had another three glasses after the kid went to sleep. I tried posting the deal on Ozbargain then but I couldnt really hit the keys on my phone very well.

      The wife came home and said I smelt like Windex.

    Hmm, I'm thinking the nastiness came more from that cheap white…. Worse than cask wine or goon bag that'd have to be!!!!

      Yeah, we used a bucket and it was surprisingly good.

      But I'm not sure what it was dosed up with because I didn't mix it.

      It was actually a lot better than using cheap vodka. Someone at work mixed one of those buckets with a bottle of Kirov and she said it was absolutely undrinkable, and she'd drink just about anything.

      Would need to make sure it was empty though.

    Yes, I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
    Mix it up with some rough white, and use the bucket for a gain.
