$18 shipping to QLD, so total $63. Not a good deal.

For what it's worth I've read these drives (which were $49 from HN) have a soldered USB header to the drives. Basically, you can't easily connect it to a PC.

True, I'd snap a few up if they could be used as internal laptop drives, sadly not the case.

  • u can get Imagine USB 3.0 320GB one at Officeworks pick up for $39

    • Is its hdd removable?

      • The 320GB Imation drives at Officeworks have removable HDDs. I pulled mine out no problem.

No screws either, just need something to crack open the casing.

  • Good budget deal. Haven't seen the 500GB models in retail for a while now.

  • Will this HDD fit in a MacBook Pro? Not the new model, 2008 model. I think the HDD needs to 5mm high

HAH, bargain or not, I'd stay far away from the Elements SE line.
Everyone I know who bought one, had it die on them. Better getting a better brand/line.

  • While a good deal, shipping kills it if you can't pick up. $13 shipping to Brisbane.

For those not in Melbourne, Officeworks have Seagate 500gb USB3 (USB-powered) for $48.00, in-store pickup only. It's $3 more expensive than this deal, but cheaper overall for people not in Melbourne:

  • They still don't seem to have acknowledged my bank transfer payment. Guess I'll give it a few more days to confirm.
