sigh and this is what makes weight-loss more difficult than it needs to be…

    • +12

I have it on good authority there are no calories if it is a bargain ;-)

    • just eat it whilst running on the treadmill… win win!!

  • yay!

  • +18

Antler, here's your chance to get another raincheck for re-sale….

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/92201

    • When I saw this deal that's exactly what I was going to post in here.

    • hi

    • So if you get a rain check for a lot of these, when you decided to use the rain check can you get a less amount than the original rain check was for?

ie. if you get a rain check for 10 but you decide you only want 2 can you just get the 2?

      • +2

        Yes.

I used to work at Coles. Generally the team member will cross out the number on the raincheck (always ask for 6 as that is the maximum), and cross it to the new number in case you want more within the 30 days.

EDIT: I should mention, the limit is 6 per person. If husband and wife for example are there, you can get 12, etc..

      • The store needs to be out of stock first, before you get a rain check.

  • yes! love this ice cream

    • (+1) This - MONARC INDULGE ® Super Premium Ice Cream - Cookies & Cream 1L (47c per 100ml) $4.69 @aldi …oh yeah
similarly, Coffee Mocha, White Chocolate Rhapsody, Triple Mudcake, Caramel Temptation or Vanilla Opulence 1L * $4.69

because: 1. it rates a _ match for "Connoisseur" IME, & 2. 47.9%-6.2% Cheaper; anytime of year.

(In all honesty the "Bulla" others mention tastes like sweetened junk confection compared to either of these in character, only that the latter is relatively unknown.) I'd stock up X2 buckets of "Monarch Gourmet", hands down +even over Connoisseur.

      • Unfortunately, we don't have Aldi here in Adelaide, so I stock up on Connoisseur or Sara Lee when it's on special.

    goodbye new years resolution

      Goodbye teeth! :P

      • +23

Yep Goodbye teeth is right…. don't know why people cant resist Junk Food
        - anyway off outside for a smoke and a beer.

  • they need to bring back the brandy sauce for the chocolate obsession ice cream, its just ehh now

  • +1

Yum! But I will have to resist this bargain..It'll happen again.

  • +11

    Cookies and cream. Enough said.

    • +1

      i second that

    • Possibly my favorite ice cream. Never liked cookies and cream until I tried this one.

  • +4

    …arrrgh… heart… stopped… again… [thump] Ah. That's better. ;-)

  • +5

    Bulla is where it's at.

    • -1

Yup! Cheaper and their cookies n cream is just as good if not better.

    • Don't read into that…try them side by side. ;)

  • Didn't like the Caramel Macadamia flavour. Strawberry was nice, havent tried the rest.

    • +7

Caramel macadamia is SEX for me, well the mrs.. LOL. She eats it and I get it!
      :)

      • +1

        yep, macadamia FTW.

  • I'm slowly weaning myself off sugar, buuuuuuuut that can wait. I was getting cranky. Bring on Wednesday.

  • +1

Best ice cream sold by the major retailers. Sweet price.

    • No. spray water bottle. No. Coles sell Movenpick too, which is pretty bloody awesome (and a price to match).

      • I prefer Connoisseur way over movenpick, haagen das, and all the other types i have tasted.

  • +4

Cookies in cream in this brand is so good, probably the best ice cream I've ever tasted.

  • None in WA catalogue for coming Wednesday. =(

    • +3

Check the very back page =)

  • The Australian Collection (as distinct from this deal's Black Label Range) is $5.99 at Supa IGA this week:

  • and my diet was going so well!… damn u popular post

  • +2

I know this is a good price, because icecream costs $7.

Whatever the quality, whatever the size, it costs $7.

Good icecream comes in small tubs, which cost $7.
Rubbish icecream comes in huge tubs, which cost $7.

This is a small-ish tub, so it must be pretty good quality. And it's $2 off the universal constant icecream price, so it must be a bargain!

    • There is a place called Aldi; Ice cream is universally cheaper there.

Not as nice as this though.

  • +2

To eat, or not to eat. That is the question.

  • Damn I have two barely started tubs in my freezer… No room fire more at the moment

    • rates a _ match for "Connoisseur" IME, & 2. 47.9%-6.2% Cheaper; anytime of year.
      daver 4 hours 21 min ago ¶ ….you're welcome :)

  • +4

last time I bought 4 tubs! time to clear the freezer! who needs frozen peas when you can have connoisseur ice cream!!!

  • +3

FYI - Don't bother wasting your money on the Coles / Woolies equivelant branded rip off ice-cream. It's shit and way too creamy and tasteless. Even @ $6 it's a rip off. When Connoisseur isn't on sale, go the Aldi version, it's pretty decent and well priced.

    • The coles cookies and cream tastes like they mix in sand :(

  • So what do you guys think of Sara Lee? I reckon it's creamier than Connoisseur (and I think it's normally a bit cheaper, although I only buy it on special). I bought one for $4.99 a couple of weeks ago from IGA.

  • Love their cookies and cream….yumm….drool

  • Picked up the strawberry, caramel honey and cookies & cream :)

  • The mocha is great
