Confused About Sizing?
Measure your existing windscreen wipers from one end to the other. Take note of both measurements. Goto www.Google.com, search for 'convert XXXmm (or XXXcm) to inches' and round off to the nearest inch but its best to drop down a size to stay on the save side, so if Google tells you that it converted to 17.5 inches, round off to 17 inches.

Please note that 16 inches is the smallest wiper that we offer so anything smaller then that.

    Qeep ≠ Bosch?

    Qeep < Bosch AeroTwins?

I recommend getting the 'real' AeroTwin Blades from eBay. There's a UK seller that sells and posts them for a reasonable price. I would look up my eBay purchase history and look up the seller but eBays blocked at work!

    • Yes, try www.wiperblades.co.uk as well. Reasonable shipping.

    • I'm having a look now, the cheapest seem to be from seller powersparks, but it's still about $45. That's more than double the price of these. Will they last twice as long?

wiperblades.co.uk shipping costs $13 and the bosch blades are $29.

Both are more than double the price of this deal. Has anyone tried both Bosch and Qeep? Is there a compelling reason to go with Bosch?

      • Haven't tried Qeep but Bosch is worth the money. They are OEM on most European cars.

    • I picked up on ebay from UK the aero twin blades (twin pack for my mazda) for only $16 with postage. Seller was 2edgedirect.

      • I just checked that seller, they only have generic aero blades (presumably similar to qeep?). It's 12.50GBP which is about $19-20 depending on my bank's exchange rate.

If it's the same price I might as well get it locally..?

  • Just did some quick googling and only found Qeep brand blades on bargain websites, china based/importer websites, and ebay, not on anything "reputable". Also on ebay they were all listed for a total of $20, nothing more, nothing less

    • They're on special at the moment, even throughout eBay, last OzBargain deal was $30 a pair.. Prices will go up in a few days..

  • For Costco members, I would recommend getting the Goodyear Assurance wiper assembly. $9.79 regular price and sometimes on sale for less than $4.79. They are made in USA and Costco sell sizes 16 inch to 22 inch.

  • Would these fit Toyota 2000-2001 Camry?

    • I'm pretty sure the 2000 Camry uses the J-hook, and most "universal" wipers like this one or the Goodyear Assurance would fit. Very easy to fit. Here is a Youtube video that shows fitting a J-hook wiper (different brand but similar principle): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA9idNzImPk

    • Yes, they will fit.

    OP, Can you clarify something?
On your website it says 'Why are Qeep Aero Windscreen Wipers better than the competition?
    - Australian owned business"

BUT googling Qeep you get the website http://qeepwiper.en.china.cn/ and it says

"Qeep is one of the best professional wiper blade manufacturers from China, which has been providing wiper blade products for more than 18 years"

As Pauline Hanson would say "Please explain"

    • We run the Australian part of QEEP, so majority of profits stay in Australia, having said this, it is an Australian Owned Business you are buying from. QEEP China are only the manufacturers.

      • Good explanation about your business, but does the import company make the Qeep Aero Windscreen Wipers better than the competition?

      • So basically the Australian distributor is Australian owned! Or do you as an Australian have shares in the actual manufacturing company which is called QEEP China. Is it similar to say Billabong which is an Australian owned business which does manufacturing in China as well.

When someone says Australian owned business you'd expect them to be the manufacturer as well (even though it might be made in China by a subcontractor).

I think this is a cheap attempt at abusing people's patriotism!

        • Agreed. And even if these were Australian made, why does that make them better than the competitors?

        • Hm, when I see "Australian-owned business", I see it as a business that is based in Australia. Where the products are manufactured is irrelevant, as so few products are manufactured in Australia now.

e.g. look at your local small bike shop. Would you not call that an Australian-owned business? Virtually none of the items they sell are manufactured in Australia.

What about your corner grocery store? Would you not consider that an Australian-owned business? They don't manufacture the food, and lots of them would be imported too.

The opposite would be an overseas business like Chain Reaction Cycles.

edit: Maybe a better example would be logitechshop.com.au. They are an official Logitech store (they were linked off logitech.com/au last time i checked), but is also a local company that pays taxes locally and employs locals.

        • +1

I agree that nothing much is made in Australia now. However, when you say the corner shop is an Australian owned business people understand that it is the business and not the stuff they sell that's being spoken about.

In this case when the seller says "Why are Qeep Aero Windscreen Wipers better than the competition? - Australian owned business" the natural assumption that people make is that the company that makes Qeep is Australian thereby implying they products are good quality. From the discussion it seems that the local distributor is the only Australian part of this setup.

        • Agree again. Just being an "Australian Business" does not automatically make a product better than the competition.

        • +1

Ahh, I see what you mean. I think it really just depends on the person reading it.

Since I know that very few things are made in Australia now, when I read "Australian-owned business" I knew it referred to the business itself even though it's under the possibly-confusing "why … better than the competition" header.

If the products were made in Australia, it would definitely be very clearly advertised as "Made in Australia". It's a selling point, so it won't be buried.

That said, the fact that it is made in China doesn't necessarily mean they're not good-quality.

        • If the government provided an incentive to business owners who manufacturer in Australia, I'd rather pay double and manufacturer them here and create more jobs rather than send money to China!

  • We have fixed the shipment problem.

    • At checkout it is only giving me the option of $20 Express ship, the shipping address is to Artarmon 2064.

  • You only need to select the sizes you need. Selecting your vehicle during account registration is not relevant.

I have these front and back… very happy so far

  • or just use Rainex, then no need for wipers

    • I use rainx and bosch aerotwins and love the combo. I see other cars using their wipers on FULL and I hardly have to use mine. When I do, all I need is 1 wipe and all the water is gone.

Only problem with rainx is it fogs up the windscreen quicker.

  • I need to replace my wipers on my Ford BA XR6

How much for standard blades at SCA ? Or are these thatch better then regular blades ?

    • +1

A 2 pack of narrow blades will cost you $9 in the SCA brand and $13 in the Tridon. If you want the full arm including rubber they're between $12-$16.

      • so would the extra couple of dollars be better to get this deal ?

        • It doesn't seem bad value at all it's all depending on the quality, I reckon it's worth a shot if you can spare it.

  • Can these be cut to size?
    My rear is a 12"

    • No they cannot be cut to size.

  • The shipping issue has been fixed!!

  • Will it fit into Honda Civic 2005? Size: driving side: 21.65 inch , other size: 17.71 inch. If so I will order.

    • Yes, will fit.

  • I bought these last time they appeared and they were rubbish. They actually came off whilst using them and the wiper arm scratched my windscreen.

I was promised a replacement, then the seller stalled and later changed his mind. In the end I had to raise a complaint with Department of Fair Trading as seller would not issue a refund.

Costco sell the Goodyear brand for the same price and they are far superior in quality.

    • -1

If you read your emails correctly, you were actually granted a full refund.

We also stated that if you were able to prove to us that the wiper was installed correctly and that it in fact was a problem with the wiper, we would have paid for your windscreen.

If you feel that the full refund was not enough, we would like to provide you with a set of replacement wipers.

      • Come on, you never stated you would pay for a windscreen. I'm more than happy to publish the emails (with headers if needed).

And you granted me a partial refund after a lot of trouble (and 3 weeks of asking). You only refunded the remaining amount when I escalated to the Department of Fair Trading.

Thanks for your offer, but I am not willing to risk these again.

  • hi eXtremist - i ordered and see post from gordy_au and worried. if there is a chance of windscreen damage then please cancel my order. or agree to replace my windscreen if damaged due to your wiper.

    • Rest assured; If you install the wipers correctly, then you won't have any issues.

  • I bought these last time and they have been ok. They are still going on my car.

I'd be wary of Universal vipers in general. Saving pennies might end up costing dollars in the end.

Last time a friend had them and used them for a few months after which he had to sell the car.
Turns out he hadn't installed them correctly or they didn't fit properly and the viper frame ended up leaving a scratch on the windsreen. It was mainly because as you cut these to length they did not have a rubber end to the blades, the slot runs all the way till the end.

15 $ saved in generic vipers cost him a 350 $ of windscreen replacement.

So be careful with generic vipers. No comment on this particular company, the product itself might end up costing / risking you more than they are worth.

    • You are referring to the refillable wiper blades, they are a pain to install and if not installed correctly, they will cause damage just like any auto part.

    I bought these last time…. (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/68621)
Very happy with them and would buy them again, (especially for $10 cheaper than I paid!)

(incidentally, rep….. you don't happen to know the sizes for a prius…. front and rear?)

    • Sorry not sure about sizing for your car, best to measure them to be sure!
