  • Oh it's a bean bag… no point joking around

    • Actually no, it's not. There's no polystyrene beans in any of our items. "It's Not A Damn Bean Bag" is our motto.

    • +3

Lol, $352.50 for a glorified bean bag. Dream on! Good luck with this business.

      • 8 years and counting. I don't believe ANY bean bag can offer a 10 year warranty; nor most other furniture items for that matter. It's a shame you don't see the value in it. Thank you for your well wishes. All the best to you too!

I think they should be discounting the blue lovescas…. those are the one's most in need of some love

    • You'll have to keep an eye out for the future.

Valentines day - Getting married men laid since 498 A.D.

  • Rather unfortunate name no?? I immediately thought of my balls when I heard "Lovesac".
Ladies, don't forget the "lovesac" when you're doing your "biz" tonight!
    :)

    • We're aware of the innuendo, and frankly it's not unfortunate. The greatest thing is hearing and reading all the comments from people who believe they're the first to have thought so. ;)

  • I was ready to part with some cash to buy one of these a few months ago but they didnt have a sale on. Asked them on facebook if they could negotiate down the price even slightly. They wouldnt have a bar of it so I took my cash elsewhere!

    • No we wouldn't have budged, and we're unapologetic about that. Hope you're happy with whatever you purchased.

      • Unapologetic? thats fine, i still have my cash ;). Probably the same rep

        • Well, we can be sorry that you're disappointed by the fact we cannot discount for you - though we cannot help that. But we can't be sorry for the items themselves not being on sale if they're simply not. Glad you still have your cash to save or spend on something else you find particular value in.

Rep, any chance of extending the discounts to the other colours? The Australia day sales were potentially more attractive depending on the colour options.

    • That's right they were. But unfortunately, unless you took advantage of that then - your only option today is RED. Sorry billbro.

      • +3

Well maybe your only option today is to not sell any lovesacs.

        • No it isn't…as I've previously stated - obviously there is another option available. Thank you for you cynicism.

      • +1

Fair enough, unfortunately I didn't notice the previous deal at the time.

Guess I'll wait until the next deal, whenever that might be.

        • Lovesac is committed to providing more opportunities to customers this year than any of the previous 8 years in business. I trust something will pop up eventually for you. If you want to receive the news first, simply subscribe on the home page of our website. And don't worry - we don't spam with junk mail. Thanks for enquiring.

You could buy a red one and then a cover for the colour you want? then sell the red one or keep it as a spare…

      • Clever thinking. Or buy the cover you want further down the track? Saving 25% off the insert alone is decent. pikey = ideas

      • Already considered it, but unless it is urgent this isn't the best approach in my opinion.

There was up to 40% off based on the previous sale (so you would have been better getting the inserts then), the US site when I looked quite a while ago has much bigger discounts as well.

The covers are pretty expensive, the only reason I was considering it was because some of the US covers are quite nice.

        • Yes the previous sale was our biggest ever. In regards to the U.S. all their items are manufactured in China. That makes a big difference as to what you can provide customers in terms of discounts. Lovesac Aus items are hand made in Australia; we're a licensee. There's a big difference on warranty and quality - ours being superior. We could import and do much greater discounts and in the current economic climate it's tempting - but that would be at the expense of our values. I think something else will come up for you eventually.

        • Hmm whether your warranty is superior is debatable.

Insofar as the foam inserts are concerned, from memory the US have life time warranties (admittedly 10 years should be sufficient). However, you do have better warranty on the covers, but then the fabric/textile offered isn't nearly as diverse.

Either way, I look forward to the next sale - nothing in it for me at the moment.

        • As far as sourcing the foam we have a much more stringent process. Many of our customers who've purchased in our earlier years (when we did import) have since remarked on the difference of our new items. You're welcome to view the fine print of both warranty policies to compare.

Might see you next time. Thanks billbro. (nice play on Bilbo Baggins - though not sure if that was the intent). Cheers.

        • Isn't it slightly counter intuitive that you have a more stringent process but you are offering a weaker warranty? Unless you simply mean a more stringent process compared to the past rather than to the US.

Either way it's not a significant concern given the length of the current warranty.

        • The latter. And not to argue the point too much - but they refer to a lifetime warranty as the lifetime of the product; that's very difficult to discern.
So we simply offer a ten year warranty. Will let you know when something else pops up. Thanks.

I'm a fan of lovesacs. Not a fan of this rep. Your arrogant and elitist attitude is disgusting.

    • he's like the lovesac nazi…

"No Lovesac for you……Come back one year. Next!"

      • Nice Seinfeld reference. No, we're not that exclusive. We just can't offer discounts on items that aren't on sale. Maybe the colours and options people want will be on sale at a later date (?)

    • Glad you're a fan of Lovesac. I'm sorry you're not a fan of the REP. Unfortunately stating the facts of the sale by answering questions does not warrant your claim against me personally. Nor does denying customers discounts on items not inclusive in the sale, simply because they asked for one, or replying to those who wish to have a nudge at my response. I apologise if any of my previous comments are considered inflammatory; that was not the intention.

I love my lovesac - but there is a huge difference in being curt versus friendly on this site. A friendly rep is a good rep - no one wants you to offer discounts if it is not possible, but be nice about it.

        • Glad you love your Lovesac. Thank you.

        • "does not warrant your claim against me personally"

He said he didn't like you, that's a valid opinion and totally warranted. Im sure you don't like me and thats also perfectly valid.

        • I don't know you, so I wouldn't make that claim. Yes, he is entitled to his opinion, and we've been civil in discussing such. Thank you.

  • +2

Stupid name for a "damn" beanbag! Negging the rep for his attitude.

    • Thanks Laser.

  • Rep: Just wanted to say that the company needs to keep posting/offering discounts.

    Two problems:
    1) The colours available - so far, nothing that works with my home decor has been more than 15% off
    2) Shipping to WA is a killer. You need to look at other transport companies to get that cost down further.

30-40% off is workable for me.. just. And I'm one of your 'more willing' potential customers (remember shipping to WA is insane and not helping you)

    • 1) It's a shame that the colour you want isn't at a discount you find pleasing. Unfortunately - prices are what they are.
      2) We ship with various courier companies. If you wish we can provide the dimensions of the items when packaged and you can book your own courier? You may encounter a similar problem as with previous customers - in that because the items are so heavy - the cost is significant; especially if you're even slightly remote (off a main route). If you choose to use your own, provide the details and we'll get it ready for you; there will be small processing fee to cover the cost of packaging - but that's it.

Let us know if that's what you'd like us to do to help you. Also, let us know if you can find a better courier service. We'd definitely be interesting in employing their services to ensure customers, like yourself, weren't put out by huge shipping fees.

      • Interesting. Will wait for 30-40% off and investigate shipping myself.

If perhaps I went and found one right now that you could use to tempt WA/SA/NT customers in the future… would you feel like sending me a moviesac for my efforts? (I'm talking of finding a business who can halve your shipping costs)

        • I would have to put that request to management. Criteria for shipping: Must be able to provide tracking, and can deliver anywhere in Australia. Anything that makes the product more accessible for customers is positive. Halving the costs would be significant - and impressive.

  • $700 for a made in China bean bag
    yeah no

    • Totally agree! That's why we're Australian Made. See above comments for more details. Thanks.
