I like how the last line of the copy is completely unrelated.

    • It's related. Just not obvious.

      • +1

The fact they won using a mouse is relevant to this keyboard deal?

  • Is anyone have used this before? Good price compare with others use cherry mx, just wandering the quality.

    • +1

Well if your wandering you best walk past this deal then…

Seriously though I had this keyboard, it is definitely ok at this price point. I only used it for a couple of weeks and gave it to my brother and its still going strong.

  • I wish the brown or red switch.

  • I got this keyboard the other day. its good so far. feels similar to my 6gv2. has 3 usb ports as well which is a plus if your short on USB ports. i'd recommended. solid build quality too!

So these wins using this keyboard was the edge that made them win 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, and their virginity was still intact!

This is a Real Bargain people

Who's the moron down voting everyone comments?

great price, just wish they offered this keyboard with MX brown and MX blue switches…MX black keys are pointless in my testing…just as mushy as a standard rubber dome keyboard, but heavier switches, so they tire your fingers out. need that tactile click to really appreciate a mechanical keyboard :)

  • got one thx

  • "In the recent WCG, Team WE used this High Performance Mouse"

I don't understand. Does this come with a mouse?

  • Am I the only one who PREFERS the non mechanical keyboards? I HATE the clicky sound they make. Especially when typing fast.

I'm sure people like the tactile response but I won't go near one until they make one with silent switches.

    • +1

      Yes.

In all seriousness Blacks (such as this kb) and Reds are silent. Browns are louder than rubber dome but not too bad I think.

So really I would go read the links jmi posted above before making more silly comments ;-)

These worthwhile for everyday use? The internets seem to say ttyping on these can be a challenge…

    • What? Where does it say that? For the most part they (mechanical keyboards) are quite the same just better built and nicer to type on. Some say that black switches (which require more force to actuate) are fatiguing but some really like them. (Was that what you meant?)

      • ^ this. "Fatiguing" doesn't sound good for a day's work?

        • I don't have Blacks so don't want to say anything not based on personal experience. What I will say is that from playing with them in store I don't think it is that bad and that eventually it is up to you if you like them or not - no one can tell you that!

For $49 + del that is probably one of the cheapest ways to find out if you do like them.

I'm also pretty sure that no matter what if you use them you will get used to them in a short period of time.

  • Isn't this the regular price? I swear when i was looking it was 49.99

  • Bugger it. Bought 4 for m'self and workmates. Lets see if they are any good…

    • Ha ha just saw this after posting above comment. Keep us posted on how you go!

      • Will do - thanks for the info above. At least the bosses won't be able to choke me with fatigued fingers if the keyboards are crap…

        • +1

          Good luck!

No matter what happens remember that if they are not to your liking they are only one flavour of mech key switches.

I also recommend the Whirlpool Mech Keyboard discussion thread (if you have a few spare days ha ha)

  • my keyboard is a bit out of shape..not stable on a flat table. Seems like too much effort to send it back thou :(

  • Fast shipping - arrived this morning (wed), ordered Mon arvo.

It is fairly loud to type on. And it looks very ordinary.

It does feel a lot nicer to type on. Can't say if I type any quicker, but feels like it might be quicker. Also feels like it might take a few more days to get used to.

All in all - happy with the purchase. It does feel very nice to type on - poops all over normal keyboards…

      Nice and congratulations!

If the noise bothers you consider getting o-rings from WASD keyboards, they dampen the sound made when bottoming out. I have them installed on both my mech keyboards (Brown and Blues) and I like the improvement on both. Note that it makes key travel a bit less.

      • Thanks for that - I actually like the noise, kind of like audio feedback that the keypress is registered.

  • It's not as good as my DAS, but for that price…I guess it's okay. It's just too stiff for me.
