  • since when is Port Kennedy classed as Remote WA ?? hahahahah!!!!
oh well, sounds like mum & dad will have to wait til friday!!..
but…. i ordered 2, so it might even be delayed even more….

    • … well I said that too him, I wonder if he was thinking port hedland…
if they sent it out on the same day and you are closer to the city you might even get it before me.

I think you will find they sent all the "remote" orders (WA) via Australia post all on the same day.

    • Since Couriers Please decided it was remote and your order was shipped with Australia Post.

  • What's a cheap way to use this box with a computer monitor? HDMI to VGA? Component video to VGA??

(Mine arrived yesterday. Australia Post just left it on the doorstep. I hate it when they do that. Anyone could walk by and pick it up!

    • That's usually your a problem with your postie! Try to catch them one day and make friends with him/her then politely say you'd like your packages to be put in a safe place etc. Mine is great and places items that don't have signature needed in a safe place for me :)

      • Finally got my package. Now to test it out.

        CHeers

    • Interesting. They have no Authority to Leave - Signature required. None the less. DVI to HDMI cable is the best way to do it - although you'll need to run Audio separately to your speakers.

      • Thanks for that. So was there a solution for the timeshift problem people are reporting? Or a Source for firmware? (I haven't had time to even plug mine in yet.)

  • Still haven't got any email or my items. Huge sadface :( considering I ordered early (before all the website issues even happened). I understand they have had a lot to do but its going to be nearly a month now. Will give it a couple more days before I ring them up I guess.

    • Ring them up ASAP to confirm whether they have a record of your order (maybe it got lost).

    • I also haven't received my 1 unit. I registered an account & ordered on 22/02, didn't receive any order confirmation or shipping notification emails.

I'm in NSW, so should've been the first ones sent out…also no consignment note for attempted delivery either…

Rep, can you reply to this?

      • Your order was shipped on the 1st March. I dont have the con numbers in front of me now (they're in the office - 7:40pm) can you please call me tomorrow 1300 11 99 15 to give me a reminder - I'll check out your consignment number and see where it is.

PS. we do have number of units which were return to us as unclaimed - its possible its sitting back in our office.

Maybe thats it. If thats the case, on re-delivery could you please advise Couriers-Please that I allow an 'Authority to Leave' on doorstep (as I'm not at home due to work)?

Could you please keep me posted on status? Appreciated!

        • I've sent you an email with the tracking details. Please call Couriers please to arrange re-delivery. It appears they've tried a number of times without success.

        • can you please reply to my private message regarding a re-delivery too

  • +4

I have created a discussion forum for this set top box over on the Whirlpool forums. Please feel free to continue discussion over they with any questions, problems or issues you may be having with this STB.

  • Well put in a paypal dispute for non delivery over a week ago, still nothing from the seller. If they're not going to reply to emails, don't have a email contact then. If you can't handle getting so many orders out, then simply don't sell so many! DUH!

What other people are still waiting for delivery?

    • Not waiting for delivery, but I have sent emails asking if they'd consider upgrading firmware on one of their units, as it would create a lot of goodwill if it worked. No reply. But that could be because they sold so many, they have hundreds of emails to wade through. So I'll try again in a couple of weeks.

Actually I haven't even used the STB yet because of the issues reported by others. I want to keep the voice recorders though, so I can't even consider returning it.
