    Hopefully I don't get charged twice. For having to go through checkout again.
    Checked palap only one payment showed up. May have just been due to the overloaded web site and slow validation from jungle jumble for newly registered users.

    This is a great deal, BUT, I'm currently suffering through some woeful after sales service with JungleJumble. At this price, for this product, you probably won't care if it arrives DOA, but I did (with my purchase), and have been getting screwed around by very rude customer service (except for 1 person I spoke to on the phone - although they did give me incorrect information). I'm not going to neg, because the issue is still ongoing, but be warned.

      The WDTV won't natively give you the STB functionality but I would expect it to be a superior media player (but you would expect that for 4x the price too!). If you are like me and have a few old TVs in the kids/rumpus rooms that don't have digital tuners, this is a cheap way of getting the digital channels plus a media player as well.

        In BigW I saw a Strong brand STB that used to be sold in Harvey Norman, with a USB socket in the front that records in HD to external only to Memory stick or HDD that usually has to be formatted to FAT32 for $49.95. If you have a HD TV you could record a different channel at the same time. then take the recording and watch it or copy it to your PC.

    Had a spot of bother buying this with the junglejumble.com.au website - everything seemed to go through, I even got the paypal receipt email - but when I logged in again the order was not there.

    Earlier on in this thread the rep said:
    "Folks - Yes the website is getting smashed. If you're order gets screwed - please call us tomorrow. Please dont send an email. 1300 11 99 15"

    I called - they were really helpful and friendly - considering they must have 90 (900?) people in line that says something. Thanks guys!

        I phoned them on their 1300 number. Got answered quickly. Said there was a problem with their automatic processing of paypal orders. Took my name and email address and said it would be fixed.

        Might be an idea to phone them.

      Torrent movies in mkv format: Most probably.

      No-one can give a guarantee on every container because containers may contain video and audio made from weird video or weird audio codecs.

        Hmmm. Not sure on that. Olin make the berge box. AFIK there is no firmware updates for this specific box. However Olin have used the same manufacturer for their own boxes - which come in many shapes and sizes - generally sold through K-Mart and Officeworks. I've not tried - but im pretty sure any of their boxes that use the Mstar chipset of about the same vintage (circum 2008) should have compatible firmware.

        Honestly these are very reliable boxes - not sure you'll need the firmware. Still waiting on a single return.

        I feel I can adequately respond this this now that Dirk has left our company. Dirk was a GM of our company, myself a Principal Director (Nasora Pty. Ltd). At the time Crazystu.com.au was my only business. I am/was programmer, Dirk (a close friend at the time) acted as a business manager for me. A few years ago I decided to come up with a promotion to give away 50 HD Set Top Boxes to local charities. https://ozbargain.com.au/node/15622 . I invited OzB members to nominate their favorite charities to which we would supply the STB's. I personally decided to run with the idea, against Dirks advice - regardless of the outcome to which Dirk had warned me about - basically to zero net benefit as a means of giving something back to the community.

        Evidently, the promotion generated lack luster response from OzB members - regardless - I was prepared to honor the "Deal", Dirk wasn't - against my strenuous objections. This lead our Crazystu account with OzB (Choppy - Dirks account) banned on OzB (all my fault).

        Junglejumble.com.au was created in effect to enable the deals we had available to be posted on OzBargain. There were a few teething issues to begin as OzB's own mods smelt a rat, however eventually we were allowed to post deals under the new trading name, as technically they were different business owned by different entities - NASORA P/L (JJ) and myself (Cstu).

        Between December 2012 and early feb 2013 Dirk "took"/stole a very considerable amount of cash from my business without authorisation. When questioned about the subject, Dirk became upset, walked out and emptied the business bank accounts that evening. He was then unceremoniously dismissed.

        Dirk used to answer the phone, he used to process payments, orders etc. he used to be rude, abnoxious etc. You guys arent the only ones that saw that. - All subjects I regularly objected with him about and regularly got told "how much"… he "was doing for the business".

        Now Mike, Mary or I, answer the phone, We're polite (hate to blow my own whistle.. Mikes great, mary's english is a bit average) - sure we get busy, forget things, get swamped etc. One thing we do have is humility, never afraid to apologise or admit if F* up.

        Does that make things better? Not necessarily. Certainly not yet. We're still a small company (3 staff - was 4) but I can certainly guarantee that while I am running the show, our customers will be dealt with respect and understanding :ALWAYS.

        That's about as much as im prepared to write write publicly. If anyone has any questions on the subject. Ie. Why did I put up with it? - I'd be happy to answer your questions over the phone.

      .TS file - licensed mpeg2/4 encoding - will play on anything which supports .ts files.

    Site is getting absolutely smashed once again. Thats it. You guys are animals - did anyone post this deal elsewhere? Quiet all week end - then BAM! - 4:30pm - till now so far. Cant even access my own website. Im not posting another deal here until we have our own server, running on our own turf, running on fibre - at least then I can protect it from the hungry animals. (Hopefully no more than a few months). You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Poor server.

    Seriously doubt there'll be anything left tomorrow morning.

    If anyone can't see their order in our system - chances are our server spat the dummy and auto checked you out as a guest - meaning you cant see the order but we can. Unit will start to be dispatched tomorrow and Wednesday.

    Stock landed Tuesday - about the same time we managed to get back into our own administration panel. Took another 2 days for 900 Satchels to arrive as our courier had to transfer stock themselves. Truck organised for tomorrow afternoon as our couriers van won't carry the stock. Sorry it's taken so long folks, were working like blue arsed flies during the day to get your orders to you.

    ***Many of your orders appear in our system as guest accounts - meaning you cant see your order- but we can (even if you CAN log into your account). The net result is that some of you won't see a shipment notification. I will post here to advise how many orders have left tomorrow. Basically we're working state by state. NSW and VIC first, followed by QLD and other states. If you ordered multiples - Im afraid your order will likely not go out tomorrow but we will do our our best. Im sorry we couldn't get things out any quicker than this - this promotion has stretched our resources to the limit.

    I really don't know how you can sell this stuff for $10. Considering someone has to make it, transport it, customs, cost of running a business etc etc + all your effort and you're still making a profit?? Is is even worth the effort?? I'm not complaining just curious.

    I ordered 4 of these devices the day this was posted, and decided to check up on the order today and it says I have no orders un my account. But i most definitely got charged for the devices when placing the order, my paypal account was charged and I got a notification almost immediately on my phone that money was sent through.

    What's going on here? Does having no order on my account mean I'm not going to see it? It's my first experience with this website, and it hasn't been a good one.

        Thanks for that. Was viewing on my phone this morning before work and missed it. I'm happy just knowing that it's a common problem for the order not to appear. Bought them mostly for gifts, so if it takes another week or two it doesn't matter. I'm happily rocking an N40l microserver as my HTPC and server for the rest of the household.

      I would suggest looking for another model in the codes list which uses the Mstar chipset - there should be heaps. Not all the mstar chipset units have identically coded remotes, but Im sure one of them will. — Saying that it may be easier to manually do it :(
