you claim you deiliver to most of NSW - yet you dont even deliver to Newcastle (the second largest city) let alone the vast majority of the state, what a joke

What courier company are you using that delivers to Sydney and Wollongong but not Newcastle?
They can deliver just not expedited.
Switch over to dx.com the items are cheaper but takes weeks to arrive sometimes a month.

Awful customer service. Never shopping with DX again after receiving an empty package and them not refunding or resending the items.

Well, I went to the post office to pick it up and signed for it, then they handed me the bag. I thought "hey that's a bit light, maybe it was a single item and the rest is coming later". But as I had apparently signed for the package, DX's words were "you should have opened the package before signing".
In the end, it looks like the bag had been opened somewhere in transit and it was already delayed. So it was about 2 months before it even arrived.
After many unsatisfactory emails to DX and also talking to austpost, it seemed there wasn't much I could do and the DX's support personell repeating the same line "Please go through the post office for a refund as they lost the items", I eventually gave up and cut my losses (about $40 or so).

The only problem with ordering from Hong Kong and using paypal is how long it takes. Doesn't paypal only offer 45 day protection?

use credit card mate. file a fraud complaint and issue a charge back. it is painful to go through that process but that works
+1 Credit card better with iffy suppliers than PayPal.
Not ordering from the 'iffy supplier' in the first place is even better.
DX.com advertise stock they don't have then "forget" to tell you that!
DX used to be ok but these days they are best avoided from many reports.

Agree completely. Ordered a number of torches and only got 1. Purchased some for gifts for Xmas 2011 in October. Kept chasing them up and they kept saying it's coming, it's coming etc. After waiting c.6 months cancelled the order. They have good stuff advertised on there but good luck actually receiving it.
