Grape Fanta 1.25L $2 at Woolworths

230

I saw 1.25L Grape Fanta at my local woolies the other day.. They was selling it at their regular price $2.

Cheapest i can get it at is $1 per can (non-expired). This means its 60% off for buying a bottle

However it seems to stain your cup pretty well. I wonder what it does to your insides.

And for those who can see my reflection good for you.

I saw 1.25L Grape Fanta at my local woolies the other day.. They was selling it at their regular price $2.

So how is this a bargain if it's at its regular price?

    • i think they mean it was selling at normal fanta price.

      • +5

Sure, that is expected just as coke is usually the same price as diet coke and coke zero, but this is a "bargain" site, not a "what's new" site.

  • My Woolworths doesn't stock this, yet I love purple drank like Welch's :(

Fanta Grape and Fanta Mango & Passionfruit is now being sold in 1.25L and 8x200ml can varieties. They're new products, rather than bargains.

Agreed, this belongs in forums or on www.oznewproduct.com.au

    • oh nice, although i wish someone sold large boddles of Fanta Straw berry

    • Shut up, Fanta Grape is awesome.

  • I bought a bottle of this to give it a go, it isn't even drinkable. Bring back raspberry fanta and get rid of this putrid crap.

You can get it at Hungry Jacks self serve drinks.

$2 is the special price (from memory it's $2.59), and lots of stores are having supply issues, grab yourself a rain cheque tomorrow if you can. My local store doesn't have 1.25 litre bottles of the grape flavour (it sells too quick)

  • Taste is very mild. Not very sweet at all.

  • Coles is also selling this in 1.5 litre bottles. Same price as regular Fanta/Coke/other CCA flavours. $2.96 IIRC.

  • Saw it in the catalogue… not really a bargain. $2 for 1.25l Fanta is the standard price.

  • i saw your reflection! looks like you had too much soft drink.

Now only if we could get Sprite Ice in Australia. That stuff is delicious.

  • or if they made the old school mello yello, not the re-badged lift. i buy it as an import and it is soo good.
also why didnt they make the retro sprite 'Leed'… miss that stuff too.

    • Yeh that mello yello was a major disappointment..

    • I think Leed and Sprite taste the same . I remember when leed was going out and sprite in we had a taste test - same flavour just Leed had a better bottle

      • i just miss the name that is all… eons ago i went on a coke factory tour, just after they brought out sprite and the 'syrup' was being extracted from a large vat with faint LEED writing on it. so i guess you are right. Would of been more convincing as a retro line naming sprite as leed.

  • According to everyone else..

The Australian Grape Fanta is very different to the international one..

If you guys wanna try the international one try to head down to your local asian grocery/independent convenient store and they may have the imported version..

Tastes 10x better than this one we have :/

    • +1

Not just Fanta, asian groceries have many other things of flavorful interest; Kit Kats, pringles, doritos, even yogurt Pepsi (although yet to see this last one in Aus).

  • Tried some Grape (last bottle at Carlingford) and also the Passionfruit/Mango

Grape tastes great initially, but the after-taste not brilliant..

Passionfruit/Mango gets a thumbs up from me - I prefer it to standard Orange for sure….

  • We just bought some US grape fizzy and compared it to this new grape Fanta and very sadly the Aussie stuff just isn't as good. I was sooo hoping it would be as good as the $1.00 a can imported stuff but no. One son says its not as fizzy, another son says it tastes too much like artificial sweetener. Darn.

  • I thought it taste different too
